Toxoplasma gondii and Neospora caninum are heteroxenous apicomplexan parasites recognized as major causes of reproductive disorders in numerous mammalian species. The present study aimed to assess through an epidemiological survey, the prevalence of reproductive losses in 75 dromedary herds during the period 2022-2025, as well as the associated risk factors, and to detect these protozoa by histopathological analysis in 63 dromedaries slaughtered at the slaughterhouse of El Oued province (126 samples: 63 hearts and 63 diaphragms). Objectives: To evaluate and compare the effectiveness of chlorhexidine (CHX) versus dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) in preventing Streptococcus mutans adhesion at the resin-tooth bond interface. H0 states no significant difference in antimicrobial efficacy between CHX and DMSO.

Methods: Fifteen extracted molars were randomly assigned to three groups: 2% CHX, 5% DMSO, and saline (control). Surfaces were treated for 60 seconds, bonded with a two-step etch-and-rinse adhesive, and restored with composite resin. Objectives: To compare the obturation density of four root canal sealers—AH Plus, Bioactive RCS, a novel bioactive glass-based bioceramic sealer, and zinc oxide eugenol (ZOE) using a standardized single-cone obturation technique.

Methods: Forty extracted premolars were endodontically prepared to a 15 mm working length and divided into four groups (n=10). Each group was obturated with the same F2-sized guttapercha cones and one of the sealers being evaluated. Weight variations pre-obturation and postobturation, and after complete sealer setting were used to calculate obturation density. Background: Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is the most common cause of end-stage renal disease. However, non-diabetic kidney disease (NDKD) can coexist or mimic DKD, leading to misdiagnosis. Case Presentation: A 46-year-old female with type 2 diabetes presented with vomiting and abdominal pain. Physical examination revealed non-blanching erythematous papules on both lower limbs. Investigations showed uncontrolled diabetes, metabolic acidosis, and active urinary sediment. Absence of diabetic retinopathy prompted renal biopsy, which revealed immune-complex–mediated glomerulonephritis with small-vessel vasculitis. Diagnosis: Immune-complex–mediated glomerulonephritis with small-vessel vasculitis, not consistent with diabetic nephropathy. Studies of low-level exposure often rely on large administrative cohorts whose geographic and demographic composition may influence observed associations. In a prior analysis, we observed an association between long-term PM2.5 and all-cause mortality among Native American Medicare beneficiaries living in zip codes within the lowest decile of PM2.5 exposure. A 10-year-old female Pomeranian was referred after a hepatic cyst was incidentally identified during a routine health check. Ultrasound-guided simple drainage was initially performed, and cytological examination of the aspirated fluid confirmed a simple cyst. However, the cyst re-expanded to its original size within 2 weeks. Therefore, ultrasound-guided percutaneous sclerotherapy was elected using lower-concentration ethanol (83%), a readily available medical disinfectant, rather than conventional high-concentration ethanol. Approximately 50% of the aspirated volume was replaced with 83% ethanol and retained for 20 min to achieve effective epithelial ablation. Background: Pancreatic cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related death in the U.S., with a 5-year survival of 12.8%. Black patients experience higher incidence, later-stage diagnosis, and worse survival than other groups. Early-onset pancreatic cancer (EOPC, age < 50 years) represents 5–12% of cases and shows distinct features including male predominance, later presentation, and associations with smoking, obesity, and diabetes. Data on EOPC among Black patients remain limited. Given Detroit’s large Black population, this study characterizes clinical and demographic factors associated with EOPC to identify potential risk patterns.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study of pancreatic adenocarcinoma cases (October 2005– February 2025) was conducted using the Henry Ford Health REDCap database. Demographic, clinical, and biomarker data were extracted from electronic records. Statistical comparisons between groups were performed using chi-square, Fisher’s exact, or t-tests.
