We developed ligandomics for the in vivo profiling of vascular ligands in mice, discovering secretogranin III (Scg3) as a novel angiogenic factor that selectively binds to retinal vessels of diabetic but not healthy mice. This discovery led to the development of anti-Scg3 therapy for ocular vasculopathies. However, in vivo ligandomics requires intracardial perfusion to remove unbound phage clones, limiting its use to vascular endothelial cells (ECs). To extend ligandomics to non-vascular cells, we investigated ex vivo ligandomics. We isolated ECs and retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) from diabetic and healthy mouse retinas by immunopanning. Objective: Coronary atherosclerosis (CAD) is characterized by arterial intima lipid deposition, chronic inflammation, and fibrous tissue proliferation, leading to arterial wall thickening and lumen narrowing. As the primary cause of coronary heart disease and acute coronary syndrome, CAD significantly impacts global health. Recent genetic studies have demonstrated CAD's polygenic and multifactorial nature, providing molecular insights for early diagnosis and risk assessment. We present here an overview of the BioCreative VIII Task 3 competition, which called for the development of state-of-the-art approaches to automatic normalization of observations noted by physicians in dysmorphology physical examinations to the Human Phenotype Ontology (HPO). We made available for the task 3136 deidentified and manually annotated observations extracted from electronic health records of 1652 paediatric patients at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. This task is challenging due to the discontinuous, overlapping, and descriptive mentions of the observations corresponding to HPO terms, severely limiting the performance of straightforward strict matching approaches. In recent years, deep neural networks (DNNs) have demonstrated remarkable performance in pathology applications, potentially even outperforming expert pathologists due to their ability to learn subtle features from large datasets. One complication in preparing digital pathology datasets for DNN tasks is the variation in tinctorial qualities. A common way to address this is to perform stain normalization on the images. Despite the widespread use of the Research Domain Criteria (RDoC) framework in psychiatry and neuroscience, recent studies suggest that the RDoC is insufficiently specific or excessively broad relative to the underlying brain circuitry it seeks to elucidate. To address these concerns, we employ a latent variable approach using bifactor analysis. We examine 84 whole-brain task-based fMRI (tfMRI) activation maps from 19 studies with 6192 participants. While much of the prior work examining the behavioural and neural mechanisms of adolescent risk taking has focused on community samples, less is known about whether these mechanisms apply to adolescents engaging in high levels of risky behaviour. The current study examines behavioural and neural differences between adolescents with (N = 24) and without (N = 35) a history of misconduct using a risk perception questionnaire and risk-taking fMRI task. Purpose: To evaluate knowledge of ageing and its associated factors among Nigerian physiotherapists (PTs).

Methods: We used a three-part questionnaire. Knowledge of ageing was evaluated with Palmore’s Facts on Aging Quiz (FAQ). Certain questions in the FAQ were modified to reflect the local setting. We conducted a validity and reliability check on the questionnaire using test-retest with 10 PTs. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and multiple linear regression.

This qualitative phenomenological designed study’s purpose was to investigate student physical therapists (SPTs) and student physical therapist assistants' (SPTAs) perceptions of an intraprofessional online activity reflective of contemporary home health and telehealth settings.
