Serum Progesterone, 17 Hydroxyprogesterone And 17-Β Estradiol, Maneewan Kamonpatana, Markpol Tingpalapong
The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine
The patterns during the menstrual cycle of serum progesterone, 17-hydroxyprogesterone and 17-ẞ oestradiol were determined in gibbons. The sources of preovulatory peak of 17-hydroxyprogesterone in the proliferative phase was discussed. These steroid levels suggested that ovulation occurred on the day between the oestradiol and progesterone peaks.

Eight cattle and eight buffaloes, female, 2-3 years of age, were used in the experiment. Four of each species were confined in shaded and non-shaded individual corrals. The average ambient temperature and relative humidity in the shaded and non-shaded areas were 82°F, 78% and 84°F, 72% respectively. 72% respectively. Hay, concentrate and water were given ad.lib. The experiment was conducted from June to August 1976. The study showed no significant differences in hemoglobin, PCV, WBCs' RBCs and osmolality due to shade effect. There were no significant species differences in hemoglobin and osmolality whereas the differences in PVC, WBCs and RBCs …

The Relationship Between Number Of Sessions And Client-Judged Outcome, Jay Athy
The Relationship Between Number Of Sessions And Client-Judged Outcome, Jay Athy
Masters Theses & Specialist Projects
Outpatient clients from a community mental health center were surveyed by questionnaire to examine the relationship between number of therapy sessions attended and client-judgments of therapeutic outcome. The results indicated that client-judgments of therapeutic benefit tended to be independent of length of therapy when the client-judgement is a global assessment of therapeutic benefit. Controls for mode of therapy, initial diagnosis, type of referral, and status of case yielded similar findings. The nature of these relationships was nonlinear with the possible existence of different zones of sessions that account for varying degrees of client-perceived success. It also appeared that clients evaluated …

Unplanned Absenteeism: An Administrative Problem In A Health Care Organization, Karin Jean Simpson
Theses
Nursing technicians in the psychiatric department of a government health care system were selected for an empirical study focusing on their unplanned leave usage. My on-the-job experience as a nursing supervisor was one of the main motivations for the study.
Since the presence of nursing technicians is of vital importance to the success of psychiatric treatment modalities in a hospital setting, it is obvious that a high rate of unscheduled absences causes disruption and diminution of the therapeutic process.
The assessment measurements employed for predicting the subjects' unplanned leave usage consisted of a questionnaire including eighteen written descriptive statements eliciting …
