การทดลองใช้ Flumequine รักษาโรคในปลา, จิรศักดิ์ ตั้งตรงไพโรจน์, เบญจมาศ วงศ์สัตยานนท์

จากการประยุกต์ใช้ขนาดของยา Flumequine ต่อเชื้อ Aeromonas salmonicida ในปลาเทร้าต่อปลาช่อนที่เป็นโรคระบาดในช่วงต้นปี พ.ศ. 2527 พบว่าการใช้ยา Flumequine ขนาด 12 มก. ต่อขนาดปลา 1 กก. กินติดต่อกัน 7 วัน จะช่วยให้ลดอัตราการตายของปลาช่อนอย่างน่าพอใจ นอกจากการให้โดยการกินแล้วการใช้ยาชนิดนี้ขนาด 10 ppm ละลายลงในน้ํา สามารถทําให้ลดอัตราการตายของปลาสวยงามโดยเฉพาะของปลาสวายเผือกอย่างรวดเร็ว สำหรับการศึกษาความไวของยาต่อเชื้อแบคทีเรียที่แยกได้จากปลาป่วยจำนวน 77 เสตรน พบว่าให้ผลไวต่อเชื้อดีที่สุด 62.4% ไวต่อเชื้อปานกลาง 31.1% และไม่ไวต่อเชื้อเลย 6.5%

The purpose of this study is to determine if the hyoid bone could be used as a reliable and stable reference landmark. Previous researchers have used cranial landmarks to determine the hyoid bone position. The results of these studies have shown a large variability in hyoid position. Efficacy Of Escherichia Coli (E. Coli) Bacterin For Contral Of Neonatal Diarrhea In Piglets : A Field Trial, Peerasak Chantaraprateep, Teeraparp Aroonpairoj, Piyalamporn Poomsuwan, Chainarong Lohachit, Boonchai Uavechanichkul

The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine

Investigation on control of neonatal diarrhea in piglets by using E.coli bacterin was conducted. It was found that during the first 4 days of life, piglets born from vaccinated dams developed diarrhea lower significantly than those from unvaccinated dams (controls) both morbidity (mean) 8.7% VS 17.7% and mortality 0% VS 3.9%. Accumulative dead rate due to diarrhea through 10 days revealed that piglets born from dam received vaccination was also lower than the controls, (0% VS 3.9%).

สุนัขพันธุ์ผสมเพศเมีย อายุ 19 เดือน มีอาการใช้ขาหลังซ้ายผิดปกติ มักจะเดิน ยกขาขึ้น จากการตรวจพบว่ามีกระดูกสะบ้าเคลื่อนเข้าด้านใน ข้อเข่าซ้ายได้รับการผ่าตัดโดย แซะร่องกระดูกที่ปลายล่างของกระดูกต้นขา ให้เป็นรูปลิ่มและตัดเนื้อกระดูกของบริเวณดังกล่าว ทิ้งไปบางส่วน ต่อจากนั้นจัดวางกระดูกรูปลิ่มนั้นไว้ตําแหน่งเดิม วิธีการนี้เรียกว่า "The Trochlear Wedge Recession" การผ่าตัดนี้ทําให้ร่องกระดูก (groove) ที่กล่าวข้างต้น ลึกมากขึ้นกว่าก่อนผ่าตัดและสามารถเก็บรักษาผิวกระดูกอ่อนของข้อต่อไว้อย่างเดิม ภายหลัง ผ่าตัดกระดูกสะบ้าจะเคลื่อนอยู่เฉพาะภายในร่องกระดูกนั้น ไม่เคลื่อนหลุดง่ายอีก สุนัขตัวนั้น หายเป็นปกติหลังผ่าตัดได้หนึ่งเดือน

Aspects Of Cardiovascular Oxygen Transport In Vertebrates, Michael Scott Hedrick

The hematological and rheological characteristics of blood from a number of vertebrates was compared to assess possible species differences in blood viscosity that may influence cardiovascular oxygen transport. Nucleated red blood cells (RBCs) were more viscous (measured by cone-plate viscometry) in comparison with enucleate (mammalian) RBCs at hematocrits greater than 40% when measured at equivalent temperatures. The lower viscosity of enucleate RBCs is attributed to an enhanced deformability of enucleate cells in comparison to nucleated cells.

ฟันหน้าแท้จำนวน 400 ซี่ ซึ่งถูกถอนจากโรงพยาบาลทั้งส่วนกลางและส่วนภูมิภาค ได้ถูกรวบรวมนำมาใช้ในการศึกษาถึงตำแหน่งของรูเปิดคลองรากฟันที่เบี่ยงเบนไปจากปลายราก การกำหนดตำแหน่งและการวัดระยะทางของรูเปิดคลองรากที่เบี่ยงเบนไปจากปลายรากศึกษา โดยใช้กล้อง Stereomicroscope พร้อมด้วย eyepiece micrometer พบว่าอัตราของความเบี่ยงเบนสูงถึงร้อยละ 92.0 และระยะห่างระหว่างรูเปิดคลองรากฟันไปยังปลายรากมีค่า เฉลี่ยประมาณ 0.56 ม.ม. ความชุกของตําแหน่งรูเปิดคลองรากฟันถึงแม้จะพบมากที่สุดบนด้าน ลิงกวลในฟันตัดบน (ร้อยละ 33.0) และฟันเขี้ยวบนและล่าง (ร้อยละ 40.0) แต่ในฟันตัด ล่างกลับพบมากที่สุดบนด้านเลเบียล (ร้อยะ 47.5)

The incidence of rampant caries in patient's for nasopharyngeal cancer who undergone radiotherapy treatment has been well documented. However a study of recent case histories has found that as well as the development of rampant caries after such treatment, another type of caries was also found to be prevalent. This other type of radiotherapy induced caries can be distinquished from rampant caries by virtue of its unique pattern of development.

ไลโปมาเป็นเนื้องอกชนิดไม่ร้ายพบได้บ่อยในส่วนต่าง ๆ ของร่างกาย ยกเว้นใน ช่องปากซึ่งพบได้น้อยมาก เนื้องอกนี้มีลักษณะเป็นก้อนเนื้อที่โตช้า ไม่มีอาการเจ็บปวด คลำนุ่ม ประกอบด้วยเซลล์ไขมันจำนวนมาก ลักษณะทางคลินิกคล้ายกับไฟโบรมา ซึ่งทำให้การ พิเคราะห์โรคขั้นต้นผิดไปได้ รายงานนี้กล่าวถึงผู้ป่วยที่มาพบทันตแพทย์ด้วยมีก้อนเนื้อในปาก ไม่มีอาการเจ็บปวดใด ๆ แต่รำคาญเนื่องจากกัดถูกเสมอเวลารับประทานอาหาร ทันตแพทย์ ได้ให้การพิเคราะห์โรคขั้นต้นเป็นไฟโบรมา และทำการรักษาโดยตัดออกทั้งหมด แล้วส่งชิ้นเนื้อมาตรวจทางจุลพยาธิวิทยา ที่ภาควิชาทันตพยาธิวิทยา คณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์ ลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ผลการตรวจ เป็นไลโปมา

ตำแหน่งของแนวกลางใบหน้า กับแนวกลางฟันบนและล่างในคนไทย, โสภี ชาติสุทธิพันธุ์

ในการศึกษาตำแหน่งของแนวกลางใบหน้า คือร่องเหนือริมฝีปากบน และเนื้อยึด ริมฝีปากบนและล่าง กับแนวกลางฟันบนและล่าง จากผู้ป่วยคนไทยทั้งเพศชายและเพศหญิง จำนวน 775 คน พบว่าในผู้ป่วยส่วนมาก ทั้งเพศชายและเพศหญิงไม่มีความแตกต่างกัน คือ มีแนวกลางฟันบนตรงกับเนื้อยึดริมฝีปากบน มากกว่าจะตรงกับร่องเหนือริมฝีปากบน และ แนวกลางฟันล่างตรงกับเนื้อยึดริมฝีปากล่าง โดยมีแนวกลางฟันล่างเบี่ยงเบนอยู่ไปทางซ้ายของแนวกลางฟันบน ในจำนวนใกล้เคียงกันทั้งสองเพศ ดังนั้นในการเรียงฟันปลอมจึงควรยึดหลักสําคัญ โดยให้ฟันปลอมนั้นมีแนวกลาง ฟันบนตรงกับเนื้อยืดริมฝีปากบน และแนวกลางฟันล่างตรงกับเนื้อยึดริมฝีปากล่าง ส่วนแนว กลางฟันล่างที่เพิ่มจำนวนฟันที่อยู่ไปทางซ้ายในช่วงอายุมากขึ้นนั้น ควรจะได้รับการพิจารณา และศึกษาต่อไป

สภาวะโรคฟันผุในฟันน้ำนมและฟันแท้ของ เด็กนักเรียน ในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร, ขวัญชัย ปรัชญา, ยุทธนา ปัญญางาม

การศึกษาสภาวะโรคฟันผุในเด็กนักเรียนระดับประถมศึกษา (อายุ 6-12 ปี) ที่มา จากครอบครัวที่มีฐานะทางเศรษฐกิจค่อนข้างต่ำในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 1,508 คน พบว่า อัตราความชุกชุม (prevalence) ของโรคฟันผุในฟันแท้ของประชากรกลุ่มตัวอย่างมี ค่าคิดเป็นร้อยละ 84.10 ในขณะที่ฟันน้ำนมมีค่าเป็นร้อยละ 73.62 สภาพความรุนแรงของ โรคฟันผุในฟันแท้ที่แสดงด้วยค่าเฉลี่ยของฟันผุถอนอุดคิดเป็นซี่ต่อคนและด้านต่อคน จะตำ เมื่อเด็กอายุน้อยและค่อย ๆ เพิ่มขึ้นเมื่อ ในเมื่ออายุมากขึ้น โดยมีค่าเป็น 1.22 2.16 2.37 3.20 3.71 4.27 5.17 ปีต่อคน และ 1.86 3.65 4.00 5.89 6.77 7.66 9.74 ด้านต่อคน ตามลำดับ จะเห็นได้ว่าค่าเฉลี่ยที่คิดเป็นด้านต่อคนจะเพิ่มเร็วกว่าคิดเป็นซี่ต่อคน ซึ่งแสดง ว่ามีการลุกลามของรอยผุไปยังด้านอื่นของซี่ฟันเพิ่มขึ้นเมื่ออายุมากขึ้น สำหรับค่าเฉลี่ยของ ฟันผุและอุดในฟันน้ำนมพบว่าสูงเมื่ออายุน้อยแล้วค่อย ๆ ลดลง เมื่ออายุมากขึ้น ทั้งนี้เนื่องจาก ไม่สามารถบันทึกข้อมูลการหลุดหายไปของฟันน้ำนมว่ามีประวัติการผุอย่างไรหรือไม่ จึงดูเหมือนว่าค่าดังกล่าวลดลง อย่างไรก็ดีเมื่อนำข้อมูลค่าเฉลี่ยฟันผุถอนอุดของฟันแท้มาวิเคราะห์ หาความสัมพันธ์กับอัตราฟันผุและอุดของฟันน้ำนม โดยคำนวณหาค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ (correlation coefficient, r) พบว่าเด็กกลุ่มอายุ 6, 7 และ 8 ปี จะมีความสัมพันธ์กัน ระหว่างอัตราความรุนแรงของโรคฟันผุของฟันน้ำนมกับฟันแท้ นั่นคือเมื่อตรวจพบว่ามีฟันน้ำนมผุ มากก็น่าจะพบฟันแท้ผุมากด้วย หรือถ้าตรวจพบมีฟันน้ำนมผุน้อย ฟันแท้ก็จะผุน้อย ซึ่ง แสดงให้เห็นว่าถ้าได้มีการดูแลฟันน้ำนมมาอย่างดีตั้งแต่เริ่มมีฟันน้ำนมซี่แรกโผล่ขึ้นสู่ช่องปาก จนถึง 5-6 ขวบแล้ว เมื่อฟันแท้เริ่มขึ้นจะมีโอกาสผุน้อยด้วย ทั้งนี้เพราะองค์ประกอบที่ก่อให้ เกิดโรคฟันผุได้ถูกควบคุมไว้อย่างดีแล้ว
