This study presents initial reliability and validity evidence for the Brief Emotional Experience Scale (BEES) as a measure of emotional well-being. Using ordinal confirmatory factor analysis across three cross-sectional samples, Australian university students (n = 1239), the general public (n = 5631), and school students from Australia and the UK (n = 767). A correlated two-factor structure was supported. In the university sample, the BEES demonstrated strong convergent validity with other well-being measures and was linked to the lowest levels of reported distress when completing the survey. OBJECTIVE: To provide a comprehensive overview of the American Urological Association Medical Student Surveys and includes data 2022, 2023, and 2024.

METHODS: Data collected through surveys distributed prior to match day and were distributed to all medical students who submitted a rank list for urology residency. Questions consisted of various topics, including applicant demographics, application metrics, and experiences with preference signals and virtual interviews.

RESULTS: 440 (79%), 428 (84%), and 387 (77%) applicants participated in surveys for the years 2022, 2023, and 2024, respectively. Applicants continue to participate in research at a high level. Additionally, United States Medical Licensing Exam …

Objectives: To assess the risk factors associated with Helicobacter pylori infection in the urban Chinese population. Methods: The study was conducted from March to November 2023, including 12,902 urban participants aged 18-60 years across 52 cities distributed over 26 provinces in China. Risk factors included socioeconomic status, lifestyles, and public understanding. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to calculate corrected odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Research question: What are the risk factors for mismatches (involving or not involving biological material) and critical mismatches (CMM; involving biological material) in an assisted reproductive technology laboratory equipped with an electronic witnessing system (EWS)? Design: In total, 73,719 witnessing points were extracted retrospectively from an EWS database, representing 11,210 consecutive treatment cycles performed at Fertility North between January 2016 and July 2023. Results: Overall, 138 (0.19%) mismatches and 16 (0.02%) CMM were identified during the study period. Objectives: Evaluate structural validity, hypothesis testing and measurement invariance of the Victorian Institute of Sport Assessment–Achilles (VISA-A) using Rasch analysis to determine if it can be recommended to measure Achilles tendinopathy severity. Methods: We performed an evaluation of the VISA-A measurement properties using Rasch Measurement Theory by pooling individual participant data from previously conducted studies (n = 217). Structural validity was assessed via threshold/category mean order; adequate item fit; unidimensionality; local dependence; internal consistency. This project examined whether established findings from the motivation science literature could be successfully applied to increase non-native language learning outcomes and persistence among college students. Participants were enrolled in beginner and intermediate language courses at a small private college. The study was longitudinal and involved “diagnosing” and immediately implementing interventions to counter deficits experienced by individual students regarding six specific motivational antecedents: expectancies for success, utility value, costs, autonomy, belonging, and growth mindsets. ▪ The number of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) expanded from 2022 to 2023, increasing from 371 to 480. Most of the growth was driven by rural counties (57.9% increase, 126 to 199) while urban counties increased by 14.7% (245 to 281).

▪ The number of services offered at CCBHCs is similar in both rural and urban localities, but urban CCBHCs were more likely to offer services that cater to a diverse client base, such as speaking different languages, and nicotine cessation programs. CAC scoring has emerged as a widely available, consistent, and reproducible means of assessing risk for major cardiovascular outcomes, especially useful in asymptomatic people for planning primary prevention interventions such as statins and aspirin.1 The Multiethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA) demonstrated that a CAC score of 0 represents a less than 5 percent 10-year Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk. CAC scores 1-299 represent borderline to intermediate risk, and CAC score >300 represents a “high risk” 10 percent or greater 10-year ASCVD risk.2

Senescent cells (SCs) have been documented to accumulate with age in the organism. Recent studies have shown that reducing the number of SCs in an organism result in tissue rejuvenation and extension of life expectancy. Intermittent fasting is reported to have multiple health benefits and is speculated to reduce the burden of SCs. Nothobranchius furzeri are a new model organism for studying aging and for which there are short- and long-lived strains available. Periprosthetic joint infections (PJI) can arise anytime in the lifetime of a patient. Therefore, patients who have multiple prosthetic joints are at risk for developing multiple PJIs. Polyarticular PJI can be classified as either synchronous or metachronous. Synchronous PJIs present simultaneously in two or more joints. Metachronous PJIs (MPJI) occur in two or more joints after a disease-free period. Incidence of MPJI varies in the literature from 8-20%.1

We document the first reported use of the Amplatzer Vascular Plug 4 for anterior mitral leaflet perforation repair in a 56-year-old male who had undergone valve-in-valve transcatheter aortic valve replacement. Previously reported cases involving the use of other occluder devices for mitral leaflet perforation repair either required guide catheter or delivery sheath exchanges, arteriovenous wire loop for deployment, or use of mitral transcatheter edge-to-edge repair for leaflet stability. Our case highlights the efficacy of the bilobar-designed Amplatzer Vascular Plug 4 for precise occlusion in anterior mitral leaflet perforation through antegrade-only delivery and safety through the simplification of procedural steps.
