Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide, thus, there is an urgent need to develop more effective therapeutic options for this dismal condition. Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) are associated with improved response to immune checkpoint blockade in HCC, but their low abundance in most cases limits their therapeutic efficacy. Here, we demonstrate, in mice, that low-dose intratumoral immunovirotherapy with the trivalent measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine (MMR) induces superior tumor-growth delay and extended host survival compared to individually administered vaccines for measles, mumps, or rubella viruses. Introduction: Metacognitive strategy training interventions, like Problem-Solving Training/Descubriendo Soluciones Juntos (PST/DSJ), have efficacy for improving caregiver burden and depressive symptoms. We previously demonstrated that PST/DSJ improved caregiver burden and depressive symptoms among caregivers of adults with Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias (ADRD), regardless of the number of sessions or boosters received. However, these results did not examine factors characterizing those who responded (improvement in caregiver burden or depressive symptoms) or did not respond to the intervention.

Introduction: Heart disease impacts both those diagnosed and their families, often due to lifestyle modifications that can alter family dynamics. While existing literature focuses on men and married individuals, understanding care partner involvement for both men and women independent of marital status is important, given gender disparities in heart disease experiences, caregiving roles, and widowhood rates. We explored differences in characteristics of men and women with heart disease, with and without a care partner. Additionally, we explored involvement of care partner beyond spousal relationships. Background/Objectives: Race-based cardiac screening criteria in sports cardiology, including the “Black athlete’s heart” concept, assume biological distinctions that may not reflect physiological reality. This systematic review evaluates whether geographic ancestry provides more clinically relevant predictors of cardiac adaptation than racial categorization. Methods: PubMed was searched (January 2005–July 2025) for studies examining cardiac adaptations in athletes by ethnicity. Data extraction captured demographics, geographic origin, cardiac assessments, and outcomes. Narrative synthesis was employed due to methodological heterogeneity. Results: Forty-seven studies (n = 66,130) revealed substantial within-race heterogeneity. The “Black athlete repolarization variant” prevalence ranged from 1.8% (Brazilian) to 30% (Ghanaian) Black athletes. …

Purpose: Retrospective chart reviews in ophthalmology are essential for gaining clinical insights, but they remain labor-intensive and prone to error. Despite digitization through electronic health records, extracting and interpreting lengthy, unstructured patient histories remains challenging, particularly in ophthalmology, which relies heavily on both imaging and text-based reports. We introduce OphthoACR, a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act-compliant artificial intelligence (AI)-powered tool for automated chart review and cohort analyses in ophthalmology. This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project aimed to address knowledge deficits among emergency room nurses regarding the early identification and management of sepsis, mainly through the implementation of the 3-hour sepsis bundle.
