Background: Twenty patients rehabilitated with screw-retained full-arch implant-supported prostheses functioning for at least one year were included.

Material and methods: This clinical study included 20 patients rehabilitated with screw-retained full-arch implant-supported prostheses in function for at least 1 year. Participants were allocated into two groups according to the implant-abutment connection design: external hexagon (EH; n = 10) and Morse taper (MT; n = 10). One peri-implant soft tissue biopsy specimen was obtained from each patient and processed for hematoxylin-eosin staining. Greater motor output variability (MOV, inconsistency and unsteadiness) during submaximal tasks post stroke is associated with poorer motor performance. However, little is known about MOV during maximal tasks and relationships with clinical measures of motor performance among stroke survivors. This study determined inconsistency (across discrete attempts) and unsteadiness (within a single attempt) during knee extension maximal voluntary isometric contractions (MVICs) in stroke survivors and neurotypical controls. Holistic review (HR) admission methods may improve workforce diversity by evaluating applicants' academic metrics, experiences, and personal attributes. Holistic review processes must adapt following the 2023 Supreme Court ruling prohibiting race-based admission criteria.

Review of literature: Holistic review criteria are program-specific and align with institutional and programmatic goals. Objective: Residential Medication Management Review (RMMR) is a government-funded pharmacist-led service to address medication-related problems, such as polypharmacy, which are prevalent in aged care. Despite known benefits, concerns remain about the service's effective implementation to benefit residents. We aimed to explore stakeholders' perspectives of the service and identify challenges and improvement opportunities. Method: A qualitative study was conducted using individual interviews and focus groups with 21 stakeholders, including general practitioners (GPs), a nurse practitioner, registered nurses, pharmacists and consumers. Background: People living with a neurological condition often report having smaller social networks and less frequent social contact, leading to greater loneliness and worse quality of life. This study explored the relationships between personality traits, social network size (SNS) and perceived loneliness in this population. People with chronic kidney disease (CKD) are particularly vulnerable to vaccine-preventable infections. Therefore, the National Kidney Foundation organized a multidisciplinary working group, including people with CKD and family care partners, to develop recommendations to improve vaccination rates, vaccination effectiveness, and health care for the CKD population. A modified Delphi process was used to achieve consensus on the recommendations. Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is an atopic inflammatory disease with limited treatment options. Though swallowed topical steroids are commonly used, they are not effective in all patients. We investigated the presence of CYP3A4/5 and ABCB1 (P-glycoprotein) mRNA in esophageal tissue and its differential expression by genotype in pediatric patients. Esophageal tissue biopsies were obtained from pediatric patients undergoing standard of care endoscopy. Levels of CYP3A4, CYP3A5, and ABCB1 mRNA were measured using droplet digital PCR and compared across patients with and without EoE.
