This paper introduces a simple methodology to aid in the decision of how to distribute financial incentive funding for residential solar electric systems in order to maximize demand. Incentive funding can be used more effectively if adjusted according to the decrease in price and the increase in demand of solar electric systems. To address the problem of automatic recognition in the presence of significant geometric and topological variations, this paper proposed a 3D shape function recognition method by adopting the contextual relationship of shape parts. To measure the size of target in three-dimensional scene under a single camera, this study uses a threedimensional environment distance function and optimizes the optical axis parameter OO’. A method of enlarging the measurement range is proposed, which is extended to measuring on the vertical surface. The experiment is based on the Raspberry Pi 3B platform with Raspberry Pi Camera. The results of experiment show that the optimization of OO’ improves the measurement accuracy and the method proposed extends the measurement range. The algorithm is simple yet effective and can achieve the performance more flexibly and steadily.

A combination of different levels of distillers dried grains processed for food application (FDDG), garbanzo flour and corn grits were chosen as a source of high-protein and high-fiber extruded snacks. A four-factor central composite rotatable design was adopted to study the effect of FDDG level, moisture content of blends, extrusion temperature, and screw speed on the apparent viscosity, mass flow rate or MFR, torque, and specific mechanical energy or SME during the extrusion process. A basic credendum of cloud computing can be summarized as: user devices are light terminals to assign jobs and gather results, while those heavy computations are conducted on remote distributed server clusters. This light-terminal-heavy-server structure makes high availability no longer an option, but a requirement in today’s datacenters. Hadoop YARN and Mesos, as two universal resource management platforms, have been widely adopted in the commodity cluster for co-deploying multiple data processing frameworks, such as Hadoop MapReduce and Apache Spark. This article discusses design, prototype development and an experimental study of facade-integrated thermoelectric (TE) materials. TEs are smart materials that have the ability to produce a temperature gradient when electricity is applied, exploiting the Peltier effect, or to generate a voltage when exposed to a temperature gradient, utilizing the Seebeck effect. Deposition of airside fouling on condensers degrades performance of air conditioning units. Several researchers have studied airside fouling effects on performance of heat exchangers, but much of the work focuses on evaporators. ASHRAE RP-1705, currently in progress, is intended to study condenser air-side fouling, and to characterize fouling material so that realistic fouling could be applied in laboratory measurements. The effects of several types of faults on air conditioners and heat pumps have been studied in many laboratory experiments. All available data have been gathered, and the independent
variable (fault intensity) and each of the dependent variables (fault impacts) are normalized to show the trends in a generalized fashion. Relationships are provided wherever there are sufficient results. A fully printed nickel (Ni) based resistance temperature detector (RTD) was successfully developed for temperature sensing applications in the automobile, agricultural and consumer electronic industries. The RTD was fabricated by
depositing nickel (Ni) ink on a flexible polyimide (PI) substrate using screen printing process. The capability of the printed RTD was demonstrated by measuring its resistive response for temperatures varying from -60 °C to 180 °C, in steps of 20 °C and its sensing characteristics such as linearity, sensitivity and repeatability were analyzed. Movements of the facial muscles offer a promising avenue for assessing stress, fatigue and emotion, and appear useful for a number of applied and clinical purposes. This paper describes a novel application of laser Doppler vibrometry (LDV) as a noncontact method for assessing facial myographic activity. The principle of the LDV method involves detection of the minute vibrations of contracting muscles, associated with the activation of individual motor units. Data were obtained from 11 participants who received 15-20 min of training before the measurement acquisitions.
