Improved Fpt Approximation For Sum Of Radii Clustering With Mergeable Constraints, Sayan Bandyapadhyay, Tainzhi Chen

In this work, we study k-min-sum-of-radii (k-MSR) clustering under mergeable constraints. k-MSR seeks to group data points using a set of up to k balls, such that the sum of the radii of the balls is minimized. A clustering constraint is called mergeable if merging two clusters satisfying the constraint, results in a cluster that also satisfies the constraint. Many popularly studied constraints are mergeable, including fairness constraints and lower bound constraints. Over the past 20 years, the capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) have gained significant interest. While AI has been implemented to various degrees in several disciplines, its unique applications in head and neck cancer (HNC) remain underdeveloped. This narrative review examines the existing body of literature regarding the use of AI in HNC. Studies to date have demonstrated AI’s utility across multiple phases of the HNC treatment continuum. Despite its promise, integrating AI into clinical practice faces several challenges, including concerns about system integrity, generalizability, privacy, and bias. Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) is a popular macroeconomic analysis metric used to compare economic productivity and standards of living between countries. This study examines the estimation of PPP within the International Comparison Program (ICP) at Basic Heading (BH) level stage and leverages on the data from the 2011 ICP round. Focusing on five BHs out of 12 BHs across 50 Africa countries, to empirically evaluate the validity of the classical Ordinary Least Square (OLS) assumptions in the estimation of Country Product Dummy (CPD) regressions. This review systematically evaluates the efficacy of hazard indices like the Annual Effective Dose Equivalent (AEDE) and Excess Lifetime Cancer Risk (ELCR) across environmental (soil, water) and biological (tissues, crops) samples, addressing critical gaps in comparative methodologies, a PRISMA-guided systematic. In this paper, we have studied various mixed distributions generated by two uniform distributions: first, where the supports are two connected line segments, and second, where the supports are two disconnected line segments. For these mixed distributions, we have determined the optimal sets of n-means and the corresponding nth quantization errors for all positive integers n. Understanding the mechanical behavior of polymeric materials is critical to advancing modern technologies, from flexible electronics to sustainable adhesives. This dissertation investigates the micromechanics of polymer thin films, dual-network elastomers, and bio-based lignin materials, with an emphasis on deformation mechanisms, network topology, and mechanical properties. The work combines principles of polymer physics with materials science to uncover structure–property relationships that inform polymer design. This dissertation primarily uses coarse-grained and atomistic molecular dynamics simulations to investigate molecular-scale behavior beyond experimental reach. Three new combinations of convex bodies are introduced and studied: the fiber, chord, and graph combinations. These combinations are defined in terms of the fibers and graphs of pairs of convex bodies, and each operation generalizes the classical Steiner symmetral, albeit in different ways. For the fiber and chord combinations, we derive Brunn-Minkowski-type inequalities and the corresponding Minkowski's first inequalities. We also prove that the general affine surface areas are concave (respectively, convex) with respect to the graph sum, thereby generalizing fundamental results of Ye (Indiana Univ. Math. Space-based gravitational wave missions such as LISA, Taiji, and Tianqin rely on the time-delay interferometry (TDI) technique to observe low-frequency signals such as Galactic binaries (GBs), massive black-hole binaries, and extreme-mass-ratio inspirals. Among these sources, resolving the large population of GBs poses a central challenge for data analysis. In this work, we present GBSIEVER-C, a pipeline implemented in C and parallelized using OpenMP (Open Multi-Processing), along with a range of additional algorithmic optimizations, including a fast implementation of second-generation TDI response modeling. Modulational instability (MI) is a fundamental phenomenon in the study of nonlinear dynamics, spanning diverse areas such as shallow water waves, optics, and ultracold atomic gases. In particular, the nonlinear stage of MI has recently been a topic of intense exploration and has been shown to manifest, in many cases, in the generation of dispersive shock waves (DSWs). The fully differential cross section is the most detailed quantity that can be measured or calculated to study ionization in few-body systems. For 75 keV proton collisions with helium, various experimental data are available. However, previous theoretical calculations found significant discrepancies across the entire range of data. In this work the wave-packet convergent close-coupling method is extended to calculating these cross sections for electrons ejected with energies from 1 to 75.4 eV. The approach utilizes a two-center expansion and correlated two-electron helium wave functions to describe the four-body proton-helium system. Wave intensity analysis provides a novel approach to understanding the dynamic interactions between the right ventricle and pulmonary vasculature, particularly in pulmonary hypertension, a condition characterized by elevated pulmonary arterial pressures and vascular remodeling. This prospective study used wave intensity analysis to evaluate right ventricular and pulmonary vascular mechanics in 22 participants with pulmonary hypertension (including precapillary, isolated postcapillary, and combined pre/postcapillary pulmonary hypertension), and three without pulmonary hypertension. Forward and backward compression and decompression waves were quantified at rest and during incremental exercise (25, 50, and 75 W). The Berezin number of an operator S is defined by ber(S) = supλ∈Θ |Ŝ(λ)| = supλ∈Θ |⟨Sĸ̂λ, ĸ̂λ⟩|, where Ŝ(λ) = ⟨Sĸ̂λ, ĸ̂λ⟩ (λ ∈ Θ) is the Berezin transform of an operator S on the functional Hilbert space ℋ = ℋ(Θ) and ĸ̂λ = ĸλ / ‖ĸλ‖ is the normalized reproducing kernel of ℋ. In this paper, we show an improvement of the classical Cauchy–Schwarz inequality involving the Berezin number. Moreover, some Berezin numbers inequalities are proven for invertible operators.

This paper investigates fuzzy differential subordinations involving meromorphic functions defined in the punctured unit disk. A novel operator based on the Hadamard product (also known as convolution) is introduced to establish new results in the theory of fuzzy differential subordination. This operator provides a generalized framework that extends classical analytic methods to the fuzzy setting, offering new insights into the geometric behavior of meromorphic functions under fuzzy conditions. Several sufficient conditions for fuzzy differential subordination are derived, and their connections to existing results are discussed. In this article, the relationships between (α, β)-normality properties of the extensions of the minimal operator generated by the first-order differential operator expression in the Hilbert spaces of vector-functions in a finite interval and the variable operator coefficients of this differential operator expression are investigated. Then, the general form of all (α, β)-normal extensions of the minimal operator in these spaces is determined under the constraints obtained for the coefficient operators.

This study introduces a new linear operator constructed from the well-known Dziok–Srivastava linear hypergeometric operator, the Bessel function of the first kind, and convolution. Applying the new operator, a class of functions with positive real part is defined and investigated concerning inclusion relations, the necessary and sufficient conditions for functions to belong to this class, as well as starlikeness and convexity conditions. Hyperspectral image (HSI) classification plays a vital role in remote sensing by leveraging rich spectral and spatial information for accurate material recognition.
