Breaking Down Computer Networking Instructional Videos: Automatic Summarization With Video Attributes And Language Models, Totok Sukardiyono, Muhammad Irfan Luthfi, Nisa Dwi Septiyanti
Elinvo (Electronics, Informatics, and Vocational Education)
Instructional videos have become a popular tool for teaching complex topics in computer networking. However, these videos can often be lengthy and time-consuming, making it difficult for learners to obtain the key information they need. In this study, we propose an approach that leverages automatic summarization and language models to generate concise and informative summaries of instructional videos. To enhance the performance of the summarization algorithm, we also incorporate video attributes that provide contextual information about the video content. Using a dataset of computer networking tutorials, we evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method and show that it significantly improves …

Comparison Of Convolutional Neural Network Architecture On Detection Of Helmet Use By Humans, H. Hartatik, Muhammad Khoirul Anam
Elinvo (Electronics, Informatics, and Vocational Education)
The helmet is one of the protective equipment for the head when driving. Although it is a protector, some criminals misuse helmets to disguise their identities, such as robbery at ATMs. Some places have put a sticker not to wear a helmet in the ATM room. However, this advice is often violated. The research adopted the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm to identify humans who use helmets and do not use helmets based on digital images. Several CNN models, such as MobileNet-V2, ResNet-50, and VGG-16, were compared in performance. The experiment was carried out using a dataset consisting of 3,207 …
Model-Based Deep Autoencoders For Clustering Single-Cell Rna Sequencing Data With Side Information, Xiang Lin
Model-Based Deep Autoencoders For Clustering Single-Cell Rna Sequencing Data With Side Information, Xiang Lin
Dissertations
Clustering analysis has been conducted extensively in single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) studies. scRNA-seq can profile tens of thousands of genes' activities within a single cell. Thousands or tens of thousands of cells can be captured simultaneously in a typical scRNA-seq experiment. Biologists would like to cluster these cells for exploring and elucidating cell types or subtypes. Numerous methods have been designed for clustering scRNA-seq data. Yet, single-cell technologies develop so fast in the past few years that those existing methods do not catch up with these rapid changes and fail to fully fulfil their potential. For instance, besides profiling transcription …

Evaluation of learners is a crucial aspect of the educational system. However, creating evaluation instruments is a process that demands teachers' time and energy. The researcher developed the Indonesia Automatic Question Generator in this study using an architecture modified from past studies. The primary goals of this project are (1) to construct an AQG tool utilizing the OpenNMT series and (2) to analyze and compare the model's performance. As a data source, this study employs the SQuAD 2.0 dataset and numerous sequence techniques, including BiGRU, BiLSTM, and Transformer. The researcher trained the models using OpenNMT-py and Google Collaboratory. This approach …

Image classification involves categorizing an image's pixels into specific classes based on their unique characteristics. It has diverse applications in everyday life. One such application is the classification of diseases on corn leaves. Corn is a widely consumed staple food in Indonesia, and healthy corn plants are crucial for meeting market demands. Currently, disease identification in corn plants relies on manual checks, which are time-consuming and less effective. This research aims to automate disease identification on corn leaves using the Support Vector Machine (SVM), K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) with K=2, and Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) algorithms. The classification process utilizes the …

Development Of Novel Protein Digestion And Quantitation Methods For Mass Spectrometic Analysis, Yongling Ai
Dissertations
Proteins are the workhorses of biology, playing multifaceted roles in maintaining cellular function, signaling, and response to environmental cues. Understanding their abundance and dynamics is pivotal for unraveling the complexities of biological processes, which underpins the foundations of molecular and cellular biology. Accurate measurement of protein quantities provides insights into cellular homeostasis, facilitates the discovery of biomarkers, and sheds light on the molecular mechanisms of diseases, bridging the gap between the molecular intricacies of proteins and their functional consequences in health and disease. The evolution of protein quantitation methodologies, from classical colorimetric assays to sophisticated mass spectrometry-based approaches, has expanded …

Forecasting is a term used to forecast or predict the business that we run to see the direction in the future which uses historical data as the main reference. An appropriate strategy is needed to manage the production of salt raw materials properly, namely through sales forecasting. PT Budiono Madura Bangun Persada is a company engaged in salt processing with the brands "Anak pintar (AP)" and "Kapal Container (KC)" where the amount of production experiences uncertainty, namely an increase or decrease, this results in an uncertain amount of raw materials. This study aims to predict the exact amount of salt …

Cross-Language Information Retrieval (CLIR) is responsible for retrieving information stored in a language different from the language of the query provided by the user. Some translation methods commonly used in CLIR are Dictionary, Parallel corpora, Comparable corpora, Machine translator, Ontology, and Transitive-based. The query must be translated to the target language, followed by preprocessing and calculating the similarity between the query and all documents in the corpus. The problem is the time and accuracy of query translation. Moreover, the queries are not written as complete sentences according to certain language rules. Stemming, for example, every language has its own method. …

The electronic structure and translucent nature of lithium tetraborate (Li2B4O7) render it promising as a scintillator medium for neutron detection applications. The inherently large neutron capture cross-section due to 10B and 6Li isotopes and the ease with which Li2B4O7 can be enriched with these isotopes, combined with the facile inclusion of rare earth dopants (occupying the Li+ sites), are expected to improve the luminescent properties, as well as the neutron detection efficiency, of Li2B4O7. The electronic structure of both doped …
