Question generation (QG) aims to automatically generate fluent and relevant questions, where the two most mainstream directions are generating questions from unstructured contextual texts (CQG), such as news articles, and generating questions from structured factoid texts (FQG), such as knowledge graphs or tables. Existing methods for these two tasks mainly face challenges of limited internal structural information as well as scarce background information, while these two tasks can benefit each other for alleviating these issues. Typically, a specific market (e.g., of hotels, restaurants, laptops, etc.) is represented as a multi-attribute dataset of the available products. The topic of identifying and shortlisting the products of most interest to a user has been well-explored. In contrast, in this work we focus on the dataset, and aim to assess its competitiveness with regard to different possible preferences. We define measures of competitiveness, and represent them in the form of a heat-map in the domain of preferences. Our work finds application in market analysis and in business development. Artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic coaches promise the improved engagement of patients on rehabilitation exercises through social interaction. While previous work explored the potential of automatically monitoring exercises for AI and robotic coaches, the deployment of these systems remains a challenge. The primary focus is on the implementation of the Three-Frame Difference Algorithm, which detects moving targets by analyzing the differences between three consecutive video frames. Traditional kernel updates such as perfective maintenance and vulnerability patching requires shutting the system down, disrupting continuous execution of applications. Enterprises and researchers have proposed various live updating techniques to patch the kernel with lower downtime to reduce the loss of useful uptime. Protein aggregation is linked to many chronic and devastating neurodegenerative human diseases and is strongly associated with aging. This work demonstrates that protein aggregation and oligomerization can be evaluated by a solid-state nanopore method at the single molecule level. A silicon nitride nanopore sensor was used to characterize both the amyloidogenic and native-state oligomerization of a model protein ß-lactoglobulin variant A (βLGa). The findings from the nanopore measurements are validated against atomic force microscopy (AFM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS) data, comparing βLGa aggregation from the same samples at various stages. Recent technologies such as the Mars Climate Sounder, the Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter, and the Curiosity rover have allowed scientists to examine Mars’ surface, climate, and atmospheric dynamics. Surface temperature data from the Mars Climate Sounder (MCS) were collected and seasonal and diurnal cycles were extracted via Fourier regression analysis into a 1° latitude longitude grid. Diurnal cycles were shown to move from west to east across the surface throughout the day, while seasonal cycles moved from north to south. The tropical cyclone (TC) outflow layer is an integral part of the TC transverse circulation: warm and moist air converges in the boundary layer of the TC; rising motion and condensational heating occur in the TC eyewall and rainbands; the TC warm core and divergent anticyclone establish in the mid-upper troposphere, with the mass imported into the TC center exported away through outflow near the tropopause.

Research has shown that processing fluency positively impacts perceived aesthetics, with pleasure mediating the relationship. Considering the important role of pleasure, we propose studying the role of emotion regulation in moderating the mediated relationship from processing fluency to perceived aesthetics. Based on our hypotheses, individuals’ emotion regulation strategies are expected to have moderating effects on the relationship between processing fluency and perceived aesthetics such that cognitive reappraisal positively moderates the relationship from processing fluency to pleasure, and expressive suppression negatively moderates the relationship from pleasure to perceived aesthetics. Despite notable advancements in the design and synthesis of novel chemotherapeutic drugs, cancer continues to be a leading cause of death in the United States. Metallodrugs, especially Au complexes, have played a prominent role in the search for the next generation of chemotherapeutic agents. Herein, I report on the synthetic strategies towards the rational design of stable Au (Au)-based agents, study their reactivity in biological environment, and offer insights into the cytotoxic mechanism of action in cancer. According to the Center for disease control (CDC), an estimated 1.7 to 2.2 million persons die from waterborne diseases annually. The majority of individuals dying from diseases resulting from unsafe drinking water, such as diarrhea and gastroenteritis, are children. This has in turn created a global water crisis. Different methods have been developed to treat contaminated water in response to the global water crisis such as adsorption, filtration, ozonolysis, catalysis, etc. Of the methods available, filtration via polymeric membranes has been one of the most successfully applied.
