This study addresses the limitations of NCS in managing uncertainties associated with multiple attributes and their further bifurcation. To address this challenge, we propose a generalization of the neutrosophic cubic soft set, introducing the concept of "neutrosophic cubic hyper soft set." Within this framework, we define internal and external neutrosophic cubic hypersoft sets, along with operations such as P-intersection, P-union, P-restricted union, P-extended intersection, P-OR operator, P-AND operator, R-intersection, R-union, R-restricted union, R-extended intersection, R-OR operator, R-AND operator, complement, and relative complement of neutrosophic cubic hyper soft sets. Neutrosophic Systems with Applications
Neutrosophic sets assign each element three independent membership values—truth, indeterminacy, and falsity—and their partitioned extensions introduce additional components subject to sum-bounded constraints. Notable examples include quadripartitioned, pentapartitioned, and heptapartitioned neutrosophic sets. The O set concept further extends this framework by allowing membership values outside the standard [0, 1] interval, including negative values and values exceeding one. In this paper, we introduce and analyze the Quadripartitioned Neutrosophic O set, Pentapartitioned Neutrosophic O set, and Heptapartitioned Neutrosophic O set. These extensions are intended to enhance the expressiveness of neutrosophic theory and to stimulate further research in neutrosophic and fuzzy uncertainty.

With the swift growth in Internet of Things (IoT), certifying secure and trustworthy networks has turned to be a critical challenge, particularly as IoT devices are increasingly vulnerable to sophisticated cyberattacks. As a remedy, intelligent intrusion detection systems (IDS) evolved as promising solutions in recent years, but deciding on the appropriate model remains difficult because of competing performance and trustworthiness criteria. This paper investigates the combined potential of neuromorphic and edge computing to develop a flexible machine learning (ML) system designed for processing data from dynamic vision sensors. We build and train hybrid models that integrate spiking neural networks (SNNs) and artificial neural networks (ANNs) using the PyTorch and Lava frameworks. We explore the effects of quantization on ANN models to assess its impact on both accuracy and energy efficiency. Additionally, we address the challenges of deploying hybrid models on hardware by implementing individual components on specific edge platforms. Acenes are a class of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons that may hold promise as organic semiconductors (OSCs) in solar cells and electronic devices. Their instability and poor solubility present challenges that may be improved by replacing the hydrogens with phenyl, halogen or alkyl substituents to sterically induce a helical twist to these otherwise planar molecules. This twisted structure also impacts the optical properties of these molecules. We employ time-dependent density functional theory (TD DFT) to investigate acenes spanning from naphthalene to heptacene. Uncertainty, vagueness, and incomplete information are pervasive in real-world decision-making scenarios, particularly in multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) contexts involving expert judgments. To address these challenges, this study introduces a comprehensive decision-making framework that integrates Triangular Neutrosophic Numbers (TNNs) with the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method. The framework begins by capturing expert evaluations using TNNs, which effectively represent the degrees of truth, indeterminacy, and falsity inherent in subjective assessments. These evaluations are then transformed into crisp values using a novel score function that preserves the embedded uncertainty. To deal with the concepts of vulnerability, ambiguity, and indeterminacy that are typical in complex decision analysis contexts, neutrosophic set-like structures are frequently used. Although neutrosophic sets are particularly good at handling indeterminate circumstances, indeterminacy plays a part in making the decision making process imprecise and ambiguous. Materials with cylindrical pores are optimal for electrochemical devices and filtration due to their straight paths with minimal tortuosity when aligned. Polymer templates have led to many individual cylindrical architectures however the independent tailoring of pore and wall dimensions has remained elusive. Here short cylindrical micelle templates (PEO-b-PS) with glassy cores enabled the fabrication of sample series with constant cylindrical pore diameter (∼63 nm) and tailored wall thickness (TiO2, ∼45–100 nm). Introduction Despite the profound impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on people living with HIV (PLWH) mental health, large-scale, real-world data on mental healthcare utilisation and associated factors among PLWH remain limited. This study explores mental healthcare utilisation and associated factors among PLWH during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods Using a retrospective cohort design, we identified and included 4575 PLWH through computational phenotyping based on relevant Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership Common Data Model concept sets from the All of Us programme between March 2018 and March 2022. Benign and malignant vocal fold lesions can alter voice quality and lead to significant morbidity or, in the case of malignancy, mortality. Early, noninvasive identification of these lesions using voice as a biomarker may improve diagnostic access and outcomes. In this study, we analyzed data from the initial release of the Bridge2AI-Voice dataset to evaluate which acoustic features best distinguish laryngeal cancer and benign vocal fold lesions from other vocal pathologies and healthy voice function. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have well-defined pore structures. Epitaxial MOFs can produce films with uniform pore sizes and open porosity. However, the growth of epitaxial MOF thin films has remained a challenge. Herein, we demonstrate a cathodic electrodeposition method for the epitaxial growth of a well-known MOF material, copper (II)-benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylate (Cu-BTC), from solution precursors. The epitaxial electrodeposition of Cu-BTC was achieved in a Cu (NO3)2-H3BTC-H2O2 bath using H2O2 reduction to deprotonate the H3BTC molecule. Elastic waves are waves that propagate by causing deformations in an elastic medium such as metal, rock, or rubber. The main characteristic of elastic wave motion is the coexistence of multiple types of waves at once in the medium, including compressional and shear wave components. This type of motion can be used to study the impacts of physical phenomena such as earthquakes. A disadvantaged neighborhood, as represented by area-level socioeconomic status (SES) has been associated with adverse outcomes among children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in the US, but the duration of impact after ALL diagnosis is not well understood. This retrospective cohort study utilized the National Cancer Database (NCDB) to examine the impact of area-level SES on overall survival among children with ALL. Median income and education quartiles based on residential zip code were used to create a composite area-level SES variable. Early and accurate wildfire detection is critical for minimizing environmental damage and ensuring a timely response. However, existing satellite-based wildfire datasets suffer from limitations such as coarse ground truth, poor spectral coverage, and class imbalance, which hinder progress in developing robust segmentation models. In this paper, we introduce Land8Fire, a new large-scale wildfire segmentation dataset composed of over 20,000 multispectral image patches derived from Landsat 8 and manually annotated for high-quality fire masks. Building on the ActiveFire dataset, Land8Fire improves ground truth reliability and offers predefined splits for consistent benchmarking. Ferrous ions in four-coordinate environments are common in protein structures, synthetic catalysts, and molecular magnets. The 3d6 configuration of high-spin Fe(II) imparts an S = 2 ground state, whose analysis using conventional spectroscopic methods is often hindered by substantial zero-field splitting (ZFS). Herein, we provide detailed electronic-structure descriptions for [FeIIX(TptBu,Me)] (1-X; X = F, Cl, Br, I), where (TptBu,Me)− is hydrotris(3-tert-butyl-5-methyl-pyrazol-1-yl)borate. The three pyrazolyl N-donors of the “scorpionate” ligand facially coordinate to Fe(II), giving idealized C3v symmetry with the halide occupying the axial position. Although originally reported …

This study aimed to evaluate the dosimetric impact of Hybrid Arc Palliative Radiation Therapy (HART) versus conventional anterior-posterior/posterior-anterior (APPA) beam arrangements for thoracic spine metastases. The primary objective was to assess differences in conformity, homogeneity, and organ-at-risk (OAR) sparing between the two techniques. A retrospective plan comparison was conducted using anonymized datasets from twenty patients previously treated with HART. Each case was replanned using a standard APPA technique, normalized to match the target coverage of the original HART plan within 0.1%. All plans were prescribed 20 Gy in 5 fractions. Understanding how water moves through a watershed is one of the most fundamental yet often complicated aspects of hydrology, especially in urban areas. Urban infrastructure and water management alter natural hydrological pathways in developed watersheds, which can violate assumptions of a watershed approach to ecosystem science. We focus on two aspects of urban landscapes that often create challenges to model watershed processes within and among urban areas: (1) accurate delineation of urban flow paths and (2) consistent characterisation of the urban landscape within and among cities. Background
Jazz method books often advise students to “learn it in all keys,” yet most present examples in only one or two keys (if that, as they start from C, the easiest key, and usually stop there). For many "classically-trained" players—especially those who check fingerings, enharmonics, and voice-leading by reading—the absence of complete, notated materials is a barrier. While most scales can be internalized as Whole (W) / Half (H) step patterns, important exceptions (e.g., harmonic and melodic minor, octatonic, whole tone, and blues) are aided by having notated patterns in front of us.

Evapotranspiration (ET) accounts for the majority of water available from precipitation in the terrestrial water cycle, and improvements to the accuracy, resolution, and coverage of ET data can enhance hydrologic models and assessments. The OpenET collaboration of six remotely sensed ET modeling teams has demonstrated that an ensemble approach to ET estimation generally provides improved accuracy relative to individual ensemble members. The performance of individual models has been shown to vary by land cover type and climate zone, but a thorough study of the variables that influence model performance differences has not yet been conducted. Clostridioides difficile, also known as C.difficile, is a prevalent cause of infectious diarrhea in United States healthcare facilities. Spread through the fecal-oral route and primarily through contact with spores on contaminated surfaces, C. difficile can cause severe diarrhea, stomach pain, and colitis. Most individuals can mount an effective immune response, but older populations, immunocompromised individuals, and those taking antibiotics have an increased risk of being colonized by C. difficile. This study seeks to determine whether the level of human-impact, and in particular sunscreen use, influences the health of coral reefs on the island of Kauaʻi. Six paired sites in different regions of Kauaʻi were identified, each having a human-impacted site and an isolated counterpart site. By obtaining quantitative data on the coral reef at each site using 25-meter video transects, the overall health of the reef was assessed by measuring live coral cover, coral species abundance, prevalence of coral bleaching, and fish abundance. The measurement of neutron energy spectra using a Bonner Sphere Spectrometer (BSS) requires spectrum unfolding. One necessary component of spectrum unfolding is an accurate neutron response matrix, which describes the energy shift experienced by neutrons when passing through different moderation configurations prior to detection. Leveraging the recently-released ENDF/B-VIII.0 cross-section library, this work details the development of a new LiI(Eu) scintillator response matrix that features improved energy binning granularity as well as increased isotopic and statistical accuracy. The development of constructed floating wetlands (CFWs) as a nature-based solution for water treatment has progressed over the last 25 years. However, full-scale CFW adoption remains relatively limited due in part to the uncertainty regarding the costs of CFWs in terms of capital and operational expenditure (CAPEX and OPEX) and treatment capacity. This study reports on the costs of 11 international CFW schemes including the factors affecting CAPEX and OPEX and levelized costs of nitrogen and phosphorus removal. The estimated levelized CAPEX and OPEX ranged from US$15/m² to $2537/m² and from $0.5/m² y⁻¹ to $181/m² y⁻¹, respectively, for CFW schemes …

Cryogenic tribological applications have become increasingly important with the development and innovation of advanced equipment in aerospace, polar regions, superconductivity, and more. Traditional lubrication methods are not viable under these harsh environments, so metallic materials must be able to maintain excellent mechanical properties and withstand the constant impact and wear alone. Climate change is predicted to intensify ocean warming and the reduction in phytoplankton abundance, potentially disrupting reproductive processes in filter-feeding intertidal invertebrates. This study investigated the combined effects of water temperature increases and food availability on the reproductive output on Chthamalus fissus, a dominant intertidal barnacle species found along the Southern California coastline. Using a controlled laboratory experiment, adult barnacles collected from the nearshore rocky intertidal habitat in La Jolla, California, were exposed to two temperature regimes (ambient water temperature ~ 18°C and elevated water temperature ~ 20-21°C) and two food concentration treatments (low and high phytoplankton and rotifer …
