This study discusses the types and functions of illocutionary speech acts contained in the text of the Palestinian Declaration of Independence. The text of the Palestinian Declaration of Independence was written by a Palestinian poet, Mahmoud Darwish and then read by the First President of Palestine Yasser Arafat in Algeria on November 15, 1988. This research was analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods and Searle's (1979) speech act theory. In the text of the Palestinian Declaration of Independence, the researcher found 14 utterances containing illocutionary speech acts with different functions. This article provides information about the work of Al-Mu’izzi Tasrif al-Af’al, dedicated to the forms of verbs in Arabic. The Fund of Manuscripts of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Abu Raykhan Beruni of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan has 7 seven manuscripts of Mu’izzi’s work. Al-Mu’izzi’s work consists of four main sections, which, in turn, are divided into chapters, that is, smaller groups. The first chapter describes the changes in conjugating verbs in the past, present, and future tenses and the imperative mood. In dominant imperialist discourses, women, such as Iraqi women and Chicanas, have been marginalized in political, social and economic structures and have been manipulated to maintain imperialist exploitation and processes. They have been frozen within certain archetypal configurations. Iraqi women have been misrepresented as victims of their culture and traditions, and Chicanas have been represented in derogatory terms or excluded from mainstream hierarchies of representation. This study examines some counternarratives and oppositional subjectivities/ consciousnesses provided by Iraqi and Chicana women writers through their utilization of the legacy of a number of fictional and historical female figures. This essay identifies an early modern aesthetic that mobilizes the mundane to make a point about the world or the grandiose. Through a close reading of the poetry in the travelogues of the 17th-century Ottoman Damascene scholar ʿAbd al-Ghanī al-Nābulusī (d. 1143/1731), this essay identifies, theorizes, and historicizes early modern Arabic circumstantial verse—what the 19th-century French poet Stéphane Mallarmé calls vers de circonstance. By drawing on Mikhail Bakhtin’s concept of the “chronotope,” this essay shows how the poetry in Nābulusī’s travelogues fits within, and sometimes advances, their linear narrative. The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences of Muslim mothers of children with disabilities. Many studies have addressed the challenges faced by family caregivers in Western societal settings and little is known about the challenges of Muslim mothers of children with disabilities faced and the impact to their well-being. The study revealed several themes regarding the values in caregiving, disparity, fortitude, and needs. It provided a unique perspective on the intersection of gender with culture, religion, and immigrant status for the caregivers. The implication on the cultural stigmatization of disability in Muslim communities is discussed.

Histories of Arabic and Islamic philosophy tend to focus on texts which are systematic in nature and conventionally classified as philosophy or related scholarly disciplines. Philosophical principles, however, are also defining features of texts associated with other genres. Within the larger field of philosophy, this might be especially true of ethics and within the larger body of literature this might be especially the case for stories. يتناول هذا البحث التوجيه النحوي للقراءات القرآنية عند ابن الوردي (ت749هـ)، إذ بدأتُ البحث بترجمة موجزة لابن الوردي، ثم تحدثتُ عن القراءات القرآنية وأنواعها، ثم ذكرتُ التوجيهات النحوية لابن الوردي في المسائل التي تضمنت القراءات القرآنِيَّة في شرحه للألفية الموسوم بـ "تحرير الخصاصة في تيسير الخلاصة"، مع بيانِ آراءِ النحاة ومواقفهم من توجيهاته النحوية.
