OBJECTIVE: Sex differences have not been well defined for patients undergoing therapeutic hypothermia (TH). We aimed to determine sex differences in mortality and Cerebral Performance Category (CPC) scores at discharge among those receiving TH. METHODS: This retrospective cohort study used data abstracted from an "ICE alert" database, an institutional protocol expediting mild TH for postarrest patients. Quality assurance variables (such as age, time to TH, CPC scores, and mortality) were reviewed and compared by sex. χ(2) Test and Wilcoxon rank sum test were used. Description Multicenter, randomized, open-label, active-controlled study in which women undergoing an urgent or elective medical procedure to open a blood vessel in the heart (PCI) will be randomized to either transradial (through the arm) or transfemoral (through the leg) access site

Eligibility Inclusion Criteria-including but may not be limited to:
o Must be older than 18 years of age
o Must be female
o Undergoing urgent or elective PCI
o Appropriate performance scores

Purpose The primary study purpose is to assess the success and complication rates of the transradial approach to PCI in women compared with the transfermoral approach.
