Chinese opera historians in the first half of the 20 th century continued the discussion of the classical propositions of ancient opera studies in their historiography of traditional Chinese opera. They conducted historical criticism through reconsidering the classical propositions and appropriately placed them in the historical context, thus making it a part of historical narrative. There are four categories of classical propositions that entered into the historical studies in this period: classification, comparison, revelation of causes, story prototype tracing. It takes Jameson as a point of departure for the reflection on the reception, revision and transformation of western literary theories in China over the last four decades. It examines the path of "translating and borrowing", "addressing Chinese issues with western discourses" as the intellectual background, and then explores "Chinese Jamesonism" as a neo-Marxist academic discourse befitting current Chinese circumstances, invented on a selective themes of postmodernism and Third World "national allegory". The illustrations of the novel originated from the "talking and singing show" of the Tang Dynasty. Bianwen ( 变文), Bianxiang (变相) and the illustrations of scripts for story-telling are the visible forms of the early stage, which are repeated and transcended by the illustrations of the novel in late imperial China. Two important aspects of western theatre have escaped the attention of most Chinese theatre people and scholars. One of them, originated from Greek tragedies full of familial killings, is a preference for the display and purgation of things unclean. In the Western Zhou Dynasty, poetry, music and dance were combined to become an important part of rituals. The spreading of poetry in this period is consistent with rituals. The rituality of poetry gradually faded and its textual value grew as poetry in the Western Zhou ceremony became verse in the Spring and Autumn period. The spreading of poetry shifted from rituality to textuality. In Spring and Autumn poetry, the consistency between poetry and ceremony began to disintegrate, but the consistency between poetry and text had not yet emerged. The thesis is about the phenomenon of "artist-company" -- commercial methodologies employed by contemporary artists are determining their artworks. Why did the Chinese government begin promoting the internationalization of its currency, the renminbi, after the 2008 global financial crisis? Only a few years earlier, Beijing balked at U.S. demands to reform its currency regime, which would require dismantling many of the country's long-preferred tools for promoting growth and maintaining domestic stability. Similar concerns about the dilution of monetary policy independence motivated previous rising economies Germany and Japan to proactively discourage the internationalization of their currencies. 九頭蛇考 : 論《山海經》的相柳, Ho Sing, Alexander Man

《山海經》一書合共十八篇，內容包含千奇百怪，以異類為本的記載。前人研究《山海經》，主要分為經文表達的文化研究、以母題分類之研究及專門研究所載的神異動物三類。治水神話隸屬於母題研究下，是較為廣泛的母題研究之一。學者研究治水神話之時，正面大多以鯀禹入手，反面則主要以共工作為研究對象。兩派相爭，所涉及的神、人、事必定多如繁星。九頭蛇相柳，便為其中一員。作為能與上古神明爭鬥，怒撞不周山之共工臣子，其神力想必不容小覷。然而《山海經》對此名猛員大將只有隻字片語式的記載，亦鮮有學術論文就其作討論。故本文將以九頭蛇相柳作為主要研究對象，對其進行深入考釋。

論文將以三個部分深入分析九頭蛇相柳，先以圖騰崇拜入手，探討古人對蛇圖騰之崇拜而誕生的蛇神信仰；第二部分則以變形及怪誕入手，分析神異動物九頭蛇的外型特點；最後藉《山海經》對相柳之載，從而探討相柳的神格，剖析其神力之大。

《論語》「克己復禮為仁」探析 : 以江聲之說為討論中心, Wai Yan Lee

《論語》「克己復禮為仁」一章，為顏淵向孔夫子問仁。自來眾家看法，爭議不斷。本文試以清人江聲之說重探此章的意思。江聲之說上承其師惠棟，以文字訓詁為據，解讀當中義理。更考慮到語境問題，從顏淵的性格、處世態度的角度，思考孔夫子如何回答顏淵對仁的提問，一貫因材施教。最後，本文將梳理及綜合分析孔夫子如何向其他學生解釋仁，從宏觀全面的角度審視「仁」的中心思想，從而分析江聲之說是否合乎仁的整體思想。

江聲詮釋「克己復禮為仁」為：透過親身肩任修身以歸本，就是仁。相較各家，江聲之說較合乎原文意思。歸納箇中原因有三：第一，江聲對「克」、「己」二字的解釋帶有主動積極踐「仁」之義，更合整章的意思及仁的思想。第二，江聲以訓詁的方法詮解整章，在客觀漢學基礎上作考據、求義理。第三，其詮解能緊扣顏淵的語境，並扣緊「仁」與「禮」之間關係，亦兼容各家之說。

馮文炳長篇小說《橋》的幾個轉變及故事意義, Tingting Cai

廢名（本名馮文炳）小說中的詩意或禪意表達總是為研究者稱頌，遣詞用句有其獨特風格。他一生創作了兩部長篇小說，《橋》和《莫須有先生傳》（下稱《莫》）。雖長篇小說數目遠遠不及其短篇小說，但已經展現出兩種截然不同的創作風格。簡而言之，前者比後者要晦澀很多（像《莫》這種帶點遊戲筆墨的可能更難懂），篇幅結構鬆散，一如普遍評論家的意見，像散文式小說。

關於作者的作品風格、意象、主題等表現，學界已有不少討論。本文嘗試把焦點回歸故事本身，重新審視前人研究中被忽略的人物和細節，輔以研究作者的創作觀等其他因素，觀察《橋》的故事或其變化可能隱含的意義。儘管作者寫長篇小說的技巧有所欠缺，但當中對於「人」和「苦難」的思考，卻是值得關注的。

一場戲曲節，敲響了一場夢。

夢中之情，可以當真嗎？生於現代，愛好崑曲，會遇上知音嗎？一見傾心，便能兩情相悅、廝守終生嗎？

念念是戲曲節的工作人員，她熱愛崑曲，尤其鍾愛《牡丹亭》。她心中有情，但所遇到的都是無緣人。直到今年戲曲節，她遇上來自蘇州某崑劇團的「柳夢梅」……

台上的柳夢梅身姿翩然、氣宇軒昂，含情脈脈的眼神、撩動人心的歌喉、義無反顧的愛戀，無不使人動心，是值得託付之人；台下的「柳夢梅」毫無架子，與念念談笑風生，和藹可親。念念從來沒想過自己能與崑劇演員有這麼多的交集，她心中有個「牡丹夢」：她想做一回杜麗娘，與柳夢梅真真切切地愛一場，此生不渝。面對眼前這位「柳夢梅」，她無法自拔地陷入夢中之情，然而「夢醒」以後，又是否真如《牡丹亭》中的杜麗娘和柳夢梅一樣，走出夢境後能再續情緣？"

〈公共交通工具的社會建構及其他〉 : 新詩創作三十首, Ki Chau Hon

交通工具是日常生活中不可缺少的事物，除了是人們行走各處的途徑，也是公共空間的一種，其特性在文學作品中也多有表述。這次的創作計劃分三輯共三十首新詩作品，意在用不同角度敘述相關的香港故事，從而反思我們的日常生活，以及當中的歷史、文化論述。

第一輯的詩作回應了一些歷史／社會事件，包括六七暴動、移民潮、保育皇后 碼頭運動等，並用較抽離的視角反思它們對當下社會的影響。第二輯則更注視地方與交通工具的連繫，例如坪州、馬鞍山礦洞等地，除了有回顧歷史及城市變化的地文書寫，也關注當地人們的日常生活。第三輯以宏觀的角度，輔以平日的觀察，思考人與人／人與城市的關係，因而較多哲思及情感抒發，亦思考了汽車等工業產物以外的移動方式。整個創作計劃歷時近一年，希望聚焦在當下的香港故事，用現在的角度審視城市的身世，也並非漁翁撒網式地把所有交通工具都書寫一遍，而專注於主流聲音所忽略的事物。

坂口安吾隨筆對香港九十後身份認同的意義, Sin Ying Cheung

日本作家坂口安吾在太平洋戰爭期間及之後的混亂期，寫下不少向社會提出「墮落」倡議的隨筆作品，涉及身份認同的篇幅不少，在當時的日本社會中佔有獨特的席位。筆者認為，香港九十後面對身份認同困境，閱讀坂口安吾隨筆實有一定的意義。

本文首先解釋香港的身份認同問題，繼而指出香港九十後一代在香港身份認同歷程中的獨特地位。在論述坂口安吾隨筆和身份認同的關係之後，以坂口安吾在太平洋戰爭期間及之後發表的隨筆作品為主，例如〈墮落論〉、〈天皇小論〉及〈日本文化之我見〉等，分析坂口安吾為日本社會書寫的身份認同倡議，例如反思天皇制、放棄傳統等等，並根據香港九十後一代面對的身份認同問題，例如「中華民族」身份對香港人的影響，找出坂口安吾隨筆在身份認同上對香港九十後的意義，最後進一步說明文學與社會的關係。

水與中國古代社會 : 《說文解字》水部字例研究, Nga Wing Liu

文字是文化的載體，也負著文化承傳的責任。透過文字研究，人們能夠了解古代社會發展的面貌。自古以來，水與人類的生活息息相關，也對古代文明產生重要影響。因此，古人創造了不少與水有關的文字用作日常生活的記錄。這些文字可反映古人和水之間的互動，並能呈現中國古代社會的面貌。本文以東漢許慎（58－147）所編的《說文解字》水部字例為研究對象，透過研究字義並引用相關史料及文獻作佐證，了解中國古代人類對水的認知，以及水對古代社會及文化發展的影響。

本文會先分析《說文解字》水部字的構字方式，並以其字義作分類整理。然後會從《說文解字》水部選取部份字例，解釋它們在《說文解字》中所記錄的字義，並以相關的文獻資料作補充，從中了解水與中國古代社會的關係。本文會就三個主題作分析和討論，以了解水對人類古代社會發展與生活的重要性。第一、古人對地理面貌的掌握和了解，以及水利工程的興建。第二、水在古代經濟活動如農業、紡織業等所發揮的功用。第三、古代人如何使用水去改善生活及所產生的文化意義。

《說文解字》省形字的說解系統研究, Hin Chi Tam

漢人許慎所著的《說文解字》為中國現存最早亦最完整的字書，許慎以「六書」、「省形」、「省聲」、「亦聲字」等概念為九千多個漢字的形音義作解析，其中「省形字」與「省聲字」並稱為「省變字」。從清代以來研究省聲字的學者很多，亦因而衍生出不少學說及理論，但對於省形字的分析卻未有跟上這樣的步伐，更有學者全面地否認省形字的存在 ，但大多的學者對於省形字都抱有肯定卻存疑的態度。大多數的學者對省形字的研究都環繞著將省形字重新歸納入「六書」中，但對於省形字所擁有的系統性及科學性卻沒有一個完整的說明，本文將就《說文解字》中「省形」說的系統作一淺述，包括省形字的內部系統和外部系統以及省形字出現的原因，以此來說明「省形說」的客觀性。
