RÉSUMÉ. Cet article explore les approches phénoménologiques et énactives dans les domaines de la création artistique et de la pédagogie. L'auteur commence par partager son parcours personnel et professionnel, soulignant l'importance de résister à la « capture disciplinaire » ainsi que l'interdisciplinarité dans son travail. Larry Towell, the first Canadian member of the prestigious photo agency, Magnum Photos, began to photograph and write about power and landlessness after a stint of volunteer work in Calcutta in 1976. In the 1980s, he photographed the Nicaraguan Contra war and the relatives of the disappeared in Guatemala. In 1996, he completed a ten-year reportage on El Salvador which was followed by two books on the Palestinians. His book Afghanistan, 2014, will be followed in 2023 by The History War (Ukraine). Now close to his seventh decade, he remains one of the best and busiest photojournalists in the world. …

This paper examines the medium of photography as a dynamic space for exploring the interplay between reality, memory, and imagination. It positions photography as an imperfect medium that operates on the boundary between predictability and uncertainty, embracing its inherent limitations as a source of creative potential. By addressing the tension between subjective experience and objective reality, this study redefines photography as a tool for continuous questioning and reinterpretation, highlighting its role in navigating the gaps between what is seen and what is imagined.

Throughout this text, David Moy will discuss the inner working of his investigation on image overload and materialization. Through tactics of blurring, erasure, and layering he achieves obfuscation in his printed media. In doing so, he questions the compounding nature of image/text that negate themselves in the larger context of time in the digital age.

This thesis examines Zoe Leonard’s work with photographic archives. Focusing on three of Leonard’s archive-based projects—The Fae Richards Photo Archive (1993-96), You see I am here after all (2008), and In the Wake (2015-16)—this thesis argues that these works are connected through frameworks of feeling and subjectivity.
