Body worn cameras are small video and audio recording devices that document interactions between law enforcement officers and the community. These devices are used to help with documenting evidence, transparency, and training for law enforcement. Prior to implementing body worn cameras, law enforcement agency need to research body worn cameras, protocols, integration, and challenges that could be faced for the organization and their staff. Protocols need to set in place by administration like retrieval process, storage of data, reviewing of videos, and policy development to assist with the seamless integration of body worn cameras. Reimagining The Criminal Justice Response To Sexual Assault, Jacob Swanson

After a crime is reported, several different stakeholders work to take the case from a police report to a conviction. In sexual assault cases, these stakeholders may consist of police officers, medical professionals, advocates, forensic scientists, prosecutors, and others. Yet, this process cannot begin until a victim reports their crime to law enforcement. Sexual assault cases are widely underreported and for a variety of reasons. Data from the 2015-2019 National Crime Victimization Survey suggests that only about one-third of sexual assaults are reported to police, while only about 3% lead to a felony conviction (RAINN, n.d.).

This paper reports on how one university attempts to instruct all incoming students on information literacy fundamentals using an asynchronous test supported by a suite of related materials. The paper explores how students interpret the efficacy of this model as they move further along in their academic career. Using a mixed-methods approach, with the majority of data being obtained through focus groups, the researchers (librarians employed in the library through which the test is developed), reflect on the advantages and disadvantages to this model, and suggest improvements to further ensure student engagement with this type of information literacy instruction and …

Policy decision makers have restricted the use of residential behavioral health services for youth involved in child welfare and juvenile justice systems, threatening their existence. Family Home Program (FHP), an evidence-based residential model, is an example of a program at risk of extinction because of negative characterization. While in-home, community-based, and foster care levels of child welfare services are assessed for conformity with federal outcomes using the federal Child and Family Services Review (CFSR), residential care does not receive this review. The Midwest Hydrogen Center of Excellence submitted comments in support of efforts to draft language defining what forms of clean hydrogen production will be eligible for tax credits under IRS Section 45V. The need to transition our energy economy to clean hydrogen is urgent. If we rely primarily upon electrolysis and other renewable sources for hydrogen, it will take too long to develop. Accordingly, the 45V tax credit rules should be written to encourage clean hydrogen generation from steam methane reformation. In this research paper, we discuss the transformation of India's menstrual hygiene product (MHP) market and the challenges faced in achieving a strategic fit for the Suvidha scheme within the Pradhan Mantri JanAushadhi program. The paper analyzes the misalignment in marketing and supply chain strategies with respect to the overall competitive strategy, and proposes optimal strategies for different consumer segments. It draws insights from Roger's diffusion model to target various adopter categories effectively. The paper emphasizes the need for continuous assessment, collaboration with stakeholders, and adaptation to ensure the scheme's success in providing affordable and eco-friendly sanitary napkins.

Long-standing research has confirmed the many benefits of Spanish as a heritage language in dual language in K-12 classrooms (Collier & Thomas, 2017, 2019). However, in higher education, there are very few exceptions to the English-only monolingual norm (García & Li, 2014). This study explores one exception, a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) in South Texas where certain classes are taught bilingually (Spanish/English) and in Spanish across various disciplines. International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

The purpose of this study was to assess relationships between students’ attitudes toward physical education (PE), their perceived competence toward PE, and their fitness test performance, as well as how these relationships change over time. Measurements were conducted with validated instruments across five time points during two school years with fourth and fifth grade students across ten schools (n = 636, 48% = female). This study was developed to address a need for examining how attitudes and perceived competence change over time. Pulitzer Prize winner Thomas E. Ricks frames the American civil rights movement in terms of a (nonviolent) war, examining the leadership, strategy, and tactics required for success. Ricks also discusses the postwar-like effects the movement had on its participants (such as PTSD), which reviewer Colonel Keith Nightingale (US Army, retired) calls "the most poignant matter in the book." Nightingale also praises the work as "a highly readable dissection of the movement" and "a history of the first order."

Reviewer Daniel Gipper highlights the book's particular contributions to the literature, particularly the examination of German "violence against German citizens," which Gipper notes is a "widely overlooked event." Gipper also notes the book's value for reexamining "long-standing assumptions about unit cohesion."
