Telogen effluvium is a form of non-scarring hair loss characterized by premature shedding of hair. Pathophysiologically, telogen effluvium occurs when a significant number of hair follicles prematurely enter the telogen phase, resulting in excessive shedding. The exact mechanism is unclear, but it is believed to involve alterations in the hair follicle's growth cycle, possibly mediated by illness, infection, major surgery, low protein intake, or hormonal changes. Some medications can also be linked to this disease, such as beta blockers, carbamazepine, and vitamin A. When affected hairs are in the resting phase, noticeable hair shedding occurs. Background

Immune checkpoint inhibitors, such as nivolumab, have become integral in treating metastatic malignancies by enhancing immune responses against tumors. However, they are associated with immune-related adverse events (irAEs), including cutaneous reactions. We report a case of persistent lichenoid dermatitis during therapy and eruptive keratoacanthomas (KAs) following the cessation of nivolumab.

Case Presentation

A 77-year-old Caucasian man presented with a subcutaneous melanoma on the left lateral chest, treated with excision followed by adjuvant nivolumab. Seven weeks into therapy, he developed pruritic erythematous macules, forming patches on his forearms, later spreading to his trunk. Biopsy confirmed lichenoid dermatitis. Background: Psoriasis is a dermatological condition influenced by genetic and epigenetic factors, environmental triggers, as well as immune responses. Genomics refers to the study of individual genes (genomes) and their interactions with environmental influences. In the context of psoriasis genomics, the interplay between genetic predisposition and environmental factors contributes to the manifestation and variations of the disease. With advancements in molecular genotyping technology and genome-wide association studies (GWASs), researchers have identified 50 genetic markers linked to psoriasis.

Mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes (MSC-exosomes) have immunosuppressive properties that alleviate inflammation and immunological reactions. We present a case of AC in a patient who received topical administration of exosomes.

BACKGROUND: Poorly healing wounds represent the primary health-related burden for hereditary recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) patients. Contribution of wound-associated soluble constituents to wound progression remains not well defined.

OBJECTIVE: To conduct cross-sectional analysis of cytokine, chemokine, and growth factor in exudates from RDEB wounds and define changes associated with wound progression.

METHODS: Concentrations of selected cytokines, chemokines, and growth factors were evaluated by multiplex ELISA in eight blister fluids and 66 exudates from early, established, and chronic RDEB and five chronic venous ulcers (VU). A cross-sectional analysis was performed.
