Background: The impact of concurrent diagnoses of anxiety and depression has not been extensively studied in spine surgery. We hypothesize that a muscle-sparing technique may be associated with decreased postoperative pain and improved strength postoperatively compared to open techniques, decreasing the stress of the postoperative recovery process. Therefore, this study aims to assess the benefits that a modified muscle-preserving lumbar fusion technique (Wiltse transforaminal lumbar interbody and fusion (W-TLIF)) would have on this subset of patients.

This study aimed to analyse the symptomatic differences of hip dysplasia before or after separate surgical interventions, including pain location and characteristics, severity, patient-reported outcomes, and a body pain diagram. A REDCap-based survey was distributed through social media from October 2023 to May 2024 and targeted individuals with current or past hip pain. The survey gathered data on demographics, comprehensive hip-specific history, and various patient-reported outcome measures. Introduction: Effective intraoperative feedback is a cornerstone of surgical training, but remains inconsistently delivered. Surgeons who never received structured feedback during their own training lack the tools to deliver it effectively. At our institution, low faculty engagement scores on an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) survey prompted a residency-wide needs assessment, which revealed that most attendings provide feedback perceived by residents as ineffective. As endovascular procedures replace many traditional open operations, concerns have emerged about whether current training adequately prepares graduates for independent practice, particularly in complex open procedures.

Data on the use of Woven EndoBridge (WEB) devices in the treatment of narrow-neck intracranial aneurysms (NNA) are limited. We compared the efficacy and safety of single-layer (SL) and single-layer spherical (SLS) WEB devices in treating NNA. We conducted a multicenter retrospective analysis of adult patients with NNA (neck ≤ 4 mm and width-to-neck ratio ≥ 2) treated with SL or SLS WEB devices between January 2011 and December 2022. People with chronic kidney disease (CKD) are particularly vulnerable to vaccine-preventable infections. Therefore, the National Kidney Foundation organized a multidisciplinary working group, including people with CKD and family care partners, to develop recommendations to improve vaccination rates, vaccination effectiveness, and health care for the CKD population. A modified Delphi process was used to achieve consensus on the recommendations. The Impella 5.5 (Abiomed) is increasingly used as a bridge to durable left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation in advanced heart failure, yet most studies focus on survival and transition success rather than left ventricular (LV) unloading or valvular effects. This study addresses this gap by comparing Impella 5.5 and HeartMate 3 (HM3, Abbott) in terms of unloading and cardiac support at similar flow rates. This study evaluated whether discrepancies in tibial sesamoid position (TSP) between anteroposterior (AP) and sesamoid axial radiographs are associated with first-ray deformity parameters: first metatarsal rotation angle (MRA), sesamoid rotation angle (SRA), intermetatarsal angle (IMA), and hallux valgus angle (HVA). We hypothesized that increased frontal-plane external rotation of the first metatarsal would be the primary contributor to AP–axial TSP mismatch.

Kidney transplant candidates frequently experience prolonged inactive waitlist status due to incomplete readiness requirements, yet limited understanding exists regarding how patient barriers and team interactions intersect to influence activation timelines. This transcendental-phenomenological study explored how patient barriers and team dynamics contribute to delays in kidney transplant readiness, guided by Team Theory. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 16 participants (8 patients, 8 healthcare professionals) between December 2025 and February 2026. BACKGROUND: Flow diverters (FDs) are increasingly used for cerebral aneurysms, including distal anterior cerebral artery (DACA) aneurysms, but comparative data between devices in this challenging location are limited.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the safety and efficacy of Pipeline, Silk Vista Baby (SVB), and FRED Jr. FDs for unruptured DACA aneurysms and identify predictors of complete occlusion.

METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed 166 patients treated with FDs at 39 centers in 14 countries (2018–2022) from the CRETA registry. Outcomes included aneurysm occlusion (O’Kelly–Marotta [OKM] scale), complications, retreatment, modified Rankin Scale (mRS) scores, and independent predictors of complete occlusion using multivariable Cox regression.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate whether P-15L (PearlMatrix P-15 Peptide Enhanced Bone Graft) is noninferior in effectiveness to local autograft when applied in single-level instrumented transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF).
