Background: This study evaluated whether patients with epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal carcinoma (OC) who are immediately re-treated with bevacizumab derive benefit after disease progression on a bevacizumab-containing regimen.

Methods: This multi-institutional, retrospective study compared patients with high grade non-mucinous epithelial OC who received bevacizumab followed directly by another bevacizumab-containing treatment regimen to patients who received bevacizumab followed by a regimen that did not contain bevacizumab (or received no further treatment). Progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were estimated using Kaplan Meier product-limit estimator and modeled via Cox proportional hazards regression.

Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) is one of the most common tachyarrhythmias found in young women, and SVT can be exacerbated by pregnancy. The symptoms associated with SVT frequently overlap with physiologic changes and symptoms of pregnancy which can lead to delayed or missed diagnosis.

Ovarian or adnexal torsions occur when an ovary rotates around one of the supporting ligaments, often the infundibulopelvic (IP) ligament. This rotation can cause the blood flow to the ovary to be hindered, and this decrease in perfusion can often present as adnexal pain, nausea, and vomiting. A significant risk factor for developing an ovarian torsion is the presence of an ovarian mass, such as a cyst. OBJECTIVE: Transportation barriers can lead to delays in care and suboptimal treatment. Our objective was to assess the utilization of a novel transportation pilot intervention in gynecologic oncology.

METHODS: Since May 2022, we have provided donor-funded transportation to patients receiving gynecologic cancer treatment at 5 University of Pennsylvania practices. Patients are screened for transportation barriers at first visit and re-screened during care. Patients who screen positive are referred to the intervention, a HIPAA-compliant ride-sharing service. There are no income or insurance restrictions; distance was limited to 25 miles. We report descriptive statistics on ride completion, distance traveled, and cost.

Purpose: One in five pregnant women in the United States experience a maternal mental health condition. Within Utah from 2018-2022, during pregnancy, 22.7% of women experienced depression and 31.6% experienced anxiety, and 15.1% experienced postpartum depression. These data represent a prevalence higher than the national average. Third trimester ultrasound (TTUS) is not a standard of care performed in the United States currently. Previous TTUS research has mainly focused on the financial burden and birth outcomes rather than maternal mental health. Recent studies have shed light on the consequences of in utero cannabis exposure, encompassing both fetal and maternal outcomes. In pregnancies with vasa previa, prenatal diagnosis and pre-labor cesarean delivery are associated with significantly improved perinatal outcomes compared to undetected cases. However, a universally accepted ultrasonographic definition of vasa previa is lacking. Specifically, the distance from the cervical internal os beyond which vaginal delivery can be safely recommended remains to be determined. Field experts and recently published societal guidelines agree that a 2 cm cut-off is suboptimal, given that complete cervical dilation during labor risks unprotected fetal vessels within a 5 cm radius from the internal os. Osteogenesis imperfecta is a genetic condition with improperly or inadequately produced Type I collagen. Manifestations include bowing deformities, fractures, hydrocephalus, respiratory insufficiency, and feeding difficulty. Moderate or severe OI is often diagnosed prenatally based on ultrasound findings and genetic testing may be labeled as lethal. Here, we present 18 infants with moderate to severely presenting OI who received neonatal care at a single center over a 5 yr period, 10 of which were delivered at our institution. In the United States, the proportion of women undergoing cesarean delivery exceeds the acceptable World Health Organization proportion. BACKGROUND: Short interpregnancy interval (IPI) following caesarean delivery is associated with uterine rupture in subsequent pregnancies. However, the interval required to minimise this risk is unknown. Montgomery County faces one of Ohio's highest maternal mortality rates, with notable disparities by race. Despite their importance in reducing maternal deaths, up to 40% of women nationwide do not attend a postpartum care (PPC) visit. While well researched guidelines exist regarding the content and timing of PPC visits, there is a lack of patient perspective on this topic, specifically in the Black-identifying population in an area with a significant burden of maternal mortality.
