Background: The chemokine CCL20 is expressed by activated cholangiocytes implicating its’ receptor, CC-chemokine receptor 6 (CCR6) in immune cell trafficking to the liver during cholestatic liver injury. In particular, the innate immune cells macrophages and neutrophils have been identified in cholestatic liver injury. Therefore, our aim was to investigate the effect of CCR6 deletion on a mouse model of 3,5-diethoxycarbonyl-1,4-dihydrocollidine (DDC) diet-induced cholestatic liver injury. Introduction

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is one of the leading causes of chronic liver diseases. NAFLD spectrum begins from simple steatosis to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), progressive fibrosis, cirrhosis, and even hepatocellular carcinoma. Although most NAFLD patients are overweight and obese, 30% are lean. We analyzed lean and non-lean NAFLD patients’ liver biopsies for cytokeratin 8/18 immunohistochemical staining differences.

Hemangioma is the most common congenital benign liver tumor. It affects mostly female, with the incidence of 0.4- 20%. Giant liver hemangioma induce the Kasabach Merritt syndome, a life threathening coagulation disorder which occur due to consumptive coagulopathy: trombocyte sequestration and agregation inside the hemangioma. The mortality rate is around 60%, with the most common cause is multiorgan complication which may end up with sepsis. The core management is hemangioma decompression by surgical measure. To assess the efficacy of sacral neuromodulation (SNM) for neurogenic bladder (NB), guided by intraoperative three-dimensional imaging of sacral computed tomography (CT) and mobile C-arm fluoroscopy through video-urodynamics examination. We enrolled 52 patients with NB who underwent conservative treatment with poor results between September 2019 and June 2021 and prospectively underwent SNM guided by intraoperative three-dimensional imaging of sacral CT and mobile C-arm fluoroscopy. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the efficacy of autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation for high-risk neuroblastoma in China.

Methods: The data of 90 high-risk neuroblastoma patients treated with the CCCG-NB 2015 regimen were reviewed. The baseline clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis were analyzed and compared. In addition, the prognoses of tandem autologous stem cell transplantation and single autologous stem cell transplantation groups were compared.

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a lymphoproliferative malignancy that is categorized by the production and accumulation of CD5+ monoclonal B cell lymphocytes, commonly in the spleen, bone marrow, and peripheral blood; these are morphologically mature lymphocytes with abnormal immune function. Ascites, although common in solid organ malignancies such as ovarian, breast, and gastrointestinal, is a rare clinical manifestation in hematological malignancies. BACKGROUND: The 2018 World Cancer Research Fund/American Institute for Cancer Research (WCRF/AICR) 3rd expert report highlights up-to-date Cancer Prevention Recommendations that may reduce burdens of many chronic diseases, including diabetes. Combination antifungal therapy is widely used but not well understood. We analyzed the spectrophotometric readings from a multicenter study conducted by the New York State Department of Health to further characterize the in vitro interactions of the major classes of antifungal agents against Candida spp. Loewe additivity-based fractional inhibitory concentration index (FICi) analysis and Bliss independence-based response surface (BIRS) analysis were used to analyze two-drug inter- and intraclass combinations of triazoles (AZO) (voriconazole, posaconazole), echinocandins (ECH) (caspofungin, micafungin, anidulafungin), and a polyene (amphotericin B) against Candida albicans, C. parapsilosis, and C. glabrata. Clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) is associated with a small risk of developing hematologic malignancies and a higher risk of cardiovascular diseases (CVD). We asked whether the reverse correlation exists and cardiometabolic risk factors have an impact on the progression of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) to acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We investigated the association between abnormal lipid profiles and inflammation in MDS, which shares many genetic mutations with CHIP, and the risk of developing acute leukemia.
