Background: Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum are commonly involved in pathogenesis of bacterial vaginosis and non-specific genital infection, while doing vaginal douching also already known as predisposing factor.

Methods: To evaluate the prevalence of Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum infection in female sex workers and its association with vaginal douching, we conducted a study through 180 female sex workers in East Jakarta, Indonesia. Vaginal fluid samples were collected from these women. It was revealed that most of the women used betel soap, baby soap, tooth paste, or herbal medicine as vaginal douching materials. Introduction: Juvenile xanthogranuloma (JXG) is an uncommon benign cutaneous fibrohistiocytic, self-healing, class II non-Langerhan’s cell histiocytosis (NLCH). JXG accounts for 80-90% of cases of NLCH. It occurs most commonly on the head and neck of infants and young children and resolves spontaneously.

Burns are often seen in clinics or hospitals. Majority of burns are minor burns, which can be managed in outpatient setting with satisfactory result. The healing outcome depends on physician’s knowledge and competencies in burn pathogenesis and basic principles of burn care. Initial treatment of burns consists of emergency evaluation, assessment of depth and severity of burns and considerations for referral. Background: Reticulate acropigmentations of Kitamura (RAPK) is an autosomal dominant inherited disorder characterized by pigmented, angulated, irregular freckle-like lesion with atrophy on the surface, arranged in a reticulate pattern on the dorsa of the hands and feet. It was first described by Kitamura and Akamatsu in Japan in 1943. The usual age of onset is the first and second decades of life. Palms and soles reveal pits and breaks in the epidermal ridge pattern. The histopathological examination show epidermal atrophy, digitate and filiform elongated rete ridges with clumps of heavy melanin pigmentation at their tips.

Targeted inhibitors elicit heterogeneous clinical responses in genetically stratified groups of patients. Although most studies focus on tumor intrinsic properties, factors in the tumor microenvironment were recently found to modulate the response to inhibitors. Here, we show that in cutaneous BRAF V600E melanoma, the cytokine tumor necrosis factor-α (TNFα) blocks RAF inhibitor-induced apoptosis via activation of NF-κB. Several NF-κB-dependent factors are upregulated following TNFα and RAF inhibitor treatment. Of these factors, we show that death receptor inhibitor cellular caspase 8 (FLICE)-like inhibitory protein (c-FLIP) is required for TNFα-induced protection against RAF inhibitor. Guttate psoriasis is a less common form of psoriasis. It manifests with numerous small, teardrop shaped, scaly plaques on the trunk and extremities. The etiology includes both environmental and genetic factors. It commonly arises 3-4 weeks following a beta hemolytic streptococcal infection. In some cases, it may be misdiagnosed as an allergy to the antibiotics being used to treat the streptococcal infection. The treatment of guttate psoriasis can vary by severity, but the mainstay treatment includes photo therapy and topical steroids. Pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE), an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by ectopic mineralization, is caused by mutations in the ABCC6 gene. We examined clinically 29 Chinese PXE patients from unrelated families, so far the largest cohort of Asian PXE patients. In a subset of 22 patients, we sequenced ABCC6 and another candidate gene, ENPP1, and conducted pathogenicity analyses for each variant. We identified a total of 17 distinct mutations in ABCC6, 15 of them being, to our knowledge, previously unreported, including 5 frameshift and 10 missense variants. Re-Recurrent Dermatofibrosarcomaprotuberans Of The Chest Wall., Niaz Hussain, Mujtaba Zaki Naveed, Ghulam H

Dermatofibrosarcomaprotuberans is a rare, soft tissue tumour with high rate of recurrence. It is locally aggressive, with a low rate of metastasis. We describe the case of a 42 year old man who presented with a re-recurrent, large tumour situated on the anterior chest wall in the sternal region. We did a wide local excision and covered the resulting defect by using bilateral, pectoralis major myocutaneous flaps. Histopathology and immunohistochemical staining findings were consistent with the diagnosis of Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberance. Post operatively the patient was treated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
