Introduction: The electrophysiology field has progressed rapidly over the last 2 decades. No study has examined the characteristics of patients and types of electrophysiology procedures performed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is important given our distinctly different demographic composition and health system. As such, we sought to describe the characteristics of consecutive patients presenting for electrophysiology procedures in our tertiary care hospital.

BACKGROUND: An English version of the Patient Perception of Patient-Centeredness (PPPC) scale was recently revised, and it is necessary to test this instrument in different primary care populations.

IMPORTANCE: Clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP), the age-related clonal expansion of hematopoietic stem cells with leukemogenic acquired genetic variants, is associated with incident heart failure (HF).

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the associations of CHIP and key gene-specific CHIP subtypes with incident HF with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF).

Background: Heart failure (HF) is a chronic condition with high readmission rates, often due to inadequate patient knowledge about home care and symptom management. Individualized patient education combined with standardized approaches could improve patient outcomes.

Background: Amyloidosis is a group of disorders characterized by the abnormal deposition of amyloid proteins in tissues and organs throughout the body. These proteins aggregate into insoluble fibrils that disrupt normal cellular function, leading to a range of clinical manifestations depending on the affected organs. This study aims to investigate the role of atorvastatin in preventing anthracycline-induced cardiac dysfunction among low-risk breast cancer patients. Background: Hypertension affects nearly half of the population in the U.S., with the prevalence disproportionately higher in African Americans (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2023). Complications of uncontrolled hypertension, such as cardiovascular disorders and stroke, increase with age, prompting the importance of controlling high blood pressure in older adults. INTRODUCTION: Cancer patients may have increased risk for adverse cardiac events, but our understanding of cardiovascular risk in thymic cancer patients is not clear. We sought to characterize baseline cardiometabolic risk factors before thymic cancer diagnosis and the potential association between cancer treatment and subsequent cardiac events.

METHODS: This was a retrospective cohort study evaluating patients with thymic cancer from 2003 to 2020 compared to age- and sex-matched controls without cancer.
