In this article we explore the Religion on an Ordinary Day (RoD) methodology in detail. The RoD project collected news stories published on September 17 over the period of three years (2013, 2014, 2015) in Australia, Canada, Finland, and the United Kingdom. We consider our decisions regarding the variability of language, researcher bias, and intercoder reliability in data collection and coding and the implications of those decisions. We offer a case study that analyzes references to New Religious Movements in the news. Canada has a deeply rooted connection with Christianity in its Protestant and Catholic forms. However, over the latter half of the 20th century there has been a strong shift toward secularization and the promotion of religious diversity. Through our study, we identified 186 news articles that made one or more references to conventional religion, common religion, or secular sacred themes. We then considered news stories with references to religion where religion was the main issue of the story and found 56 articles with majority of their focus on Islam. Participation in collaborative learning environments has demonstrated significant learning advantages due to opportunities for group members to contribute to shared problem-solving processes, shared goals, and co-elaboration of knowledge. Furthermore, research has shown that higher levels of social perceptiveness are positively correlated with higher levels of group performance. However, collaboration is not always successful, sometimes exhibiting imbalances of power and status. In this study, positioning theory and interaction analysis were used to investigate (a) interactions in four racially and gender-mixed groups (of three university students each) working with technology and (b) their negotiated positions of power and status. Children’s language ability upon entry to kindergarten is a powerful predictor of reading achievement throughout elementary school; yet disparities in children’s language growth have been detected as early as 18 months of age. These disparities have been linked to the quantity and quality of speech provided to children as they are learning to talk. The current study employed a single-case multiple-baseline across participants experimental design to evaluate the effectiveness of an early literacy intervention to increase teen parents’ child-directed speech and conversational turns. Climate change is projected to bring more frequent and prolonged droughts, causing widespread forest die-off. Identifying tree mortality over large spatial extents in response to the most recent California drought will help forest managers and conservationists understand where there may be a greater likelihood of future die-offs. In order to find more at-risk areas, this study evaluated how interacting site-specific topographic, climate, substrate, and stand characteristics mediated tree mortality in the Central Sierra Nevada during the 2012-2016 drought. This study revealed importance of information sources among the biological faculty members and research scholars of Madurai Kamaraj University. In this studies the relative importance of information sources among the biologist on the basis of statistical tests concludes that the personal attributes of biologists such as designation, gender, age, qualification, subject, experience, nature of work and nature of research in a university level have bearing on the use of information resources. Individuals with ASD also exhibit challenging behaviors that affect parent and caregiver stress directly. Purpose: Assessment of cardiovascular response of qualified middle-distance runners to aerobic and anaerobic physical loads.

Methods: Qualified middle-distance runners at the stage of sportsmanship improvement (n = 20) were studied. Sports qualification - 2 and 1 categories. The analysis of Heart Rate Variability was carried out using the application “CardioMood” with “Polar h10” and “Polar M430”. A 5-minute electrocardiogram recording was performed. Only normal NN cardio cycles were studied. When analyzing Heart Rate Variability, the following parameters were obtained: HR, SDNN, pNN50, TP, entropy (H), modes (Mo), AMo, stress index. In this report, we consider the potential economic impact of the Longview Power Plant’s switch to in-state coal suppliers, and the Longview Power Plant overall. In addition to increased coal purchases, we estimate the PPA would generate an additional $19.4 million in related economic activity in the state, for a total economic impact of more than $58 million annually.

The taxi industry has changed dramatically during the last decade, as ride-sourcing applications, ride-sharing and alternative pricing schemes have emerged, either as complementing or competitive services and strategies. After some years of familiarity with such trends, it is interesting to explore where the taxi industry stands with respect to possible service innovations. This paper explores behavioral patterns of drivers, focusing on issues such as their preferred way of conducting business, and their views on introducing taxi-sharing and dynamic pricing.
