Sociodemographic Determinants Of Librarians’ Psychological Wellbeing: An Ex-Post Facto Research, Christian S. Ugwuanyi Phd

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

Considering the enormous responsibilities placed on school librarians, this study explored the sociodemographic determinants of school librarians’ psychological wellbeing in Nigeria. This study used an ex-post facto research design. Drawing from the scientific research paradigm and quantitative research approach, data were obtained on 145 school librarians using the Psychological wellbeing scale (α = .82). The 145 librarians were sampled from both Federal and state Universities in southeast Nigeria. The data were analysed using the mean and analysis of variance. The study found that, while age had no significant (p > .05) influence on librarians' psychological wellbeing, qualification had a significant (p < .05) influence on librarians' psychological wellbeing. As a result, librarians' qualifications are a crucial driver of their psychological wellbeing. Thus, it was suggested that librarians' qualifications be prioritized during their employment.

Reexamining The Desert: A Study Of Place-Based Food Insecurity, Morgan Ryan May 2022

Reexamining The Desert: A Study Of Place-Based Food Insecurity, Morgan Ryan

Marginal cropland is suboptimal due to historically low and variable productivity and limiting biophysical characteristics. To support future agricultural management and policy decisions in Nebraska, U.S.A, it is important to understand where cropland is marginal for its two most economically important crops: corn (Zea mays) and soybean (Glycine max). As corn and soybean are frequently planted in a crop rotation, it is important to consider if there is a relationship with cropland marginality. Based on the current literature, there exists a need for a flexible yet robust methodology for identifying marginal land at different scales, which takes advantage ...

This shared link with Scandinavia contributed to the development of local connections between insular and coastal sites within the broader diasporic network. This thesis considers the archaeological evidence ...
