Introduction: This research aimed to investigate which waves, Theta or Beta, are significant predictors of visual simple and complex reaction times during the Vienna test, using regression modeling. The research material comprised the test results of male judo athletes (n = 24), selected through mixed sampling (purposive and random). The study was conducted in two cycles, differentiated by frequency but with the same duration of EEG biofeedback sessions, in both the control and experimental groups. The first cycle of the study consisted of 15 sessions held every other day. Each training session lasted for 4 minutes. The second series …

To Make Or Buy: How Does Strategic Team Selection And Shared Leadership Strategy Interact To Impact Nba Team Effectiveness?, Brandon Purvis

Industrial-Organizational Psychology Dissertations

The study of shared leadership is growing to address the challenges faced in an increasingly dynamic and interdependent workplace. Shared leadership under the right conditions has been found to be related to team adaptability, creativity, and effectiveness. However, there is growing research on the conditions that limit or enhance the effectiveness of shared leadership. Specifically, it was proposed that teams which are more made than bought (internally developed) should adopt a shared leadership model. In contrast, teams that are more bought than made (developed externally) should use a traditional hierarchical team leadership model. Using data from the National Basketball Association …

Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development

The increasing number of motorized vehicles in Jakarta is causing environmental damage and can harm human health. In recent years, the Jakarta local government has the vision to focus on improving the human mobility network, including the pedestrian networks. As a heavily trafficked road, Jalan Kyai Tapa, West Jakarta, is used by many people. However, it may feel uncomfortable to walk there due to heat and sun exposure, which is compounded by extensive pavement coverage. The thermal condition of the pedestrian corridor is essential to create a comfortable walking experience. The objective of this study was to analyze the thermal …

High-Risk Individuals And Naloxone Use: Implications For Thn Programs In Rural Appalachian Communities, Victor Garcia, Lisa Mccann, Erick Lauber, Christian Vaccaro, Melissa Swauger, Alex Daniel Heckert

Journal of Appalachian Health

Introduction: Take-home naloxone (THN) is being made available across rural Appalachia to curb opioid overdose fatalities. Despite this initiative, some opioid users do not possess naloxone, and if they do, do not administer it to others.

Purpose: Research findings on risk factors that contribute to opioid overdose are presented. These factors, identified in a sample of 16 overdose cases, are (1) early onset age of opioid use; (2) progressive opioid use; (3) a transition from pain medication to heroin and fentanyl; (4) fears of being arrested at a naloxone intervention if first responders are contacted, and (5) limited knowledge of …

Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development

Sea urchins, soft-shelled invertebrates (Echinoderms), crucially contribute to cleaning the ocean bottom. However, sea urchins in tropical waters like Indonesia have not yet been fully disclosed. This study was conducted at Hutumuri and Rutong waters, Ambon City. This study assessed physical-chemical parameters, sea urchin species composition, classification, and community structure. Employing the Line Transect method with 5x5 m quadrants and 50m transect spacing, data analysis included density, relative density, frequency of presence, diversity, uniformity, and dominance indices. Results indicated normal temperature and salinity at both stations, supporting sea urchin life, with rocky and sandy substrates deemed suitable. A total of …

The invention of increasingly sophisticated technology and an increasingly connected world has changed the nature of terror groups from "traditional terrorism" to "sophisticated terrorism". This change complicates the task of security forces because to be able to fight them, the authorities are required to be sophisticated as well. Starting from the concept of the "ring of security" information, which reveals that successful intelligence gathering will help prevent terrorism attacks. This research aims to illustrate the importance of utilizing Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) to raise the level of sophistication of the apparatus in intelligence gathering in countering terrorism. This research is …

Economic Valuation Model Of Vanname Shrimp Culture And Mangrove Rehabilitation, Elrin Meivian Mongi Mongi, Mahawan Karuniasa, Mufti Petala Patria

Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development

The current climate change is caused by anthropogenic activities involving energy and industry usage that affect the temperature and climate of the Earth. The Paris Agreement on climate change is a commitment by some countries to act to address climate change by developing sustainably and emitting low levels of carbon dioxide (CO2). Changes in the oceans include temperature increases, acidification, and changes in currents, leading to decreased productivity in fishing and aquaculture. Integrated mangrove shrimp farming, known as silvofisheries, has been recognized as environmentally friendly cultivation. The implementation of silvofishery is a form of mangrove ecosystem management that integrates ecology …

Measuring The Performance Of Sdgs In Provincial Level Using Regional Sustainable Development Index, Nurafiza Thamrin, Ika Yuni Wulansari, Puguh Bodro Irawan

Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development

Measuring the national and sub-national progress in achieving such globally adopted development agendas as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is particularly challenging due to data availability and compatibility of indicators to measure SDGs, especially in Indonesia. This paper attempts to measure the performance of sustainable development at the regional level in Indonesia by newly constructing a multidimensional composite index called the Regional Sustainable Development Index (RSDI). RSDI comprises four dimensions, covering comprehensive economic, social, environmental, and governance indicators. By applying factor analysis, the paper assesses the uncertainty of RSDI and the sensitivity of its composing indicators, then further investigates the relationship …

Indonesia, rich in natural resources, is also a significant energy contributor to the global economy. However, despite having large fossil fuel reserves, Indonesia has topped the ranking of oil importers for the last 20 years. Indonesia is facing the Energy Trilemma. The first point is energy security. A condition when a country has a stable and adequate energy supply at a reasonable price for the short and long term. Energy poverty is the second aspect of the Indonesian Energy Trilemma and this is still common in Indonesia, especially outside Java and Bali. Even though in 2020 the Indonesian government has …
