Libraries are establishing websites to deliver information to their patrons. The purpose of this paper is to assess the top ten medical institute library websites, as determined by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), for the year 2020. The checklist-based observation method has been adopted for the study. The checklist is categorized into five major categories: general information about the library, library's printed collection, library's e-resources, library's services, and library’s sections. In 2014, Springshare introduced a new LibGuides layout option. In addition to the traditional horizontally-tabbed layout (top navigation), LibGuides designers now have the option of vertically-arrayed tabs on the upper left-hand side of the page (side 10 navigation). Like the university hosting this study, schools have, to varying degrees, shifted their LibGuides toward side navigation and away from top navigation. To better understand the research behind this migration, researchers at the University of Northern Iowa conducted a thorough literature review on navigation menu location preferences and navigation menu efficacy within the field of librarianship and computer science. Objectives This study used computer simulation modeling to estimate and compare costs of different free-roaming cat (FRC) management options (lethal and non-lethal removal, trap–neuter–return, combinations of these options and no action) and their ability to reduce FRC population abundance in open demographic settings. The findings provide a resource for selecting management approaches that are well matched for specific communities, goals and timelines, and they represent use of best available science to address FRC issues.

El artículo propone desde un punto de vista jurídico los parámetros de actuación que pueden orientar los procesos de concertación informal sobre movilidad urbana sostenible entre autoridades y ciudadanos en Colombia, acudiendo a las experiencias de concertación informal de actores ciudadanos. Se empleó una metodología cualitativa, con enfoque sociojurídico y hermenéutica dialógica. La información empírica se recopiló a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas a informantes clave y el análisis de documentos. Among short-term mental health consequences for adolescents who have proximate or direct experience with mass shootings in school settings are posttraumatic stress and posttraumatic stress disorder. Identifying incidence of enduring mental health impacts is challenging due to difficulty of tracking individuals into adulthood. This paper presents the needs of five community schools intending to bring changes in the school community. Thus, this paper aims to identify the needs of the five community schools of Kavre, Nepal, and recommend possible interventions. Although Mexico presents high levels of poverty and marginalization, it is the second happiest nation in Latin America. This raises several questions about what factors are associated with happiness at each level of marginalization and how these factors vary according to marginalization levels. We conducted a qualitative study in urban municipalities in four Mexican states, using 184 semi-structured interviews and employing a thematic analysis approach. Results suggest that happiness is a multifactorial phenomenon. Factors such as the family, health, religion, friendships, economic conditions, and fulfillment of basic needs contribute to happiness, but each of these aspects has different importance and …

The present study was investigated among the doctors of Primary Health Centre of Haryana to assess information needs, sources and the barriers to accessing information. For which the survey method has been applied and 227 questionnaires were distributed in all strata based on the proportional number of PHC and 133 questionnaires were found appropriate for the analysis process. This thesis analyzes Abu Jaâ far Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabariâ s chronicle (d. 923) History of Prophets and Kings using a gender perspective. It focuses on al-Tabariâ s representation of women during the Madina period, arguing that through such a representation al-Tabari projects his Abbasid gender norms on the women of this period. The thesis focuses on four main subjects in relation to al-Tabariâ s text: the image of rebellious non-Muslim women, â Aâ ishaâ s involvement in the Battle of the Camel, and women as rational and emotional players in the Madina period.

Purpose: To justify the prediction by long-term training in women's judo. The article presents a functional analysis of the problem of the prospects for the development of female judoists of 17-18 years of age. The content of the presented work is fundamentally different from most generalizing works. This study examines the everyday positive identity of spiritual/religious lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+), Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC). By enriching our knowledge about the positive developmental processes (e.g., strengths, resilience, protective factors) that multiply marginalized and underrepresented populations employ to navigate their identity, we can better understand the impact and dynamics of systemic oppression on an individual’s expression and development of self. Ten individuals from Canada and the US provided diarized voice entries to a daily prompt in an experience sampling method (ESM). Motivated by the popular sports saying, “Offense sells tickets, defense wins championships,” we use Forbes revenue data to quantify whether offense really does sell more ‘tickets’ than defense in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Employing team offensive and defensive win shares as measures of offensive and defensive proficiency, we find offensively oriented teams generate the same amount of revenue as do defensively oriented teams, other things equal. Our results suggest that both profit-maximizing and win-maximizing teams should value offensively and defensively players equivalently (per unit). Thus, in an efficient free agent market, we would expect equilibrium player salaries for offensive …

Navigating romantic transgressions in older adulthood is imperative for both relationship quality and longevity, making forgiveness a critical process. The current study examined marital transgressions and forgiveness among 64 older (age range = 56–89), higher-functioning, primarily White, married couples studied at two time points spaced 16.4 months apart. More than half the spouses did not report a transgression in the past year, and not doing so was associated with better marital functioning at both time points. Of the transgressions reported, thematic analyses revealed they fell into six categories (e.g., spouse behaving badly, financial issues), but were overall relatively minor in …

Gene editing technology has been one of the breakthrough technologies for life science research. With the application in biomedical research, healthcare, food and agriculture field, related ethical issues are also concerned. This study summarized the research and application progress of gene editing technology involving ethical issues in recent years. Based on sorting out the international discussions, attitudes, and explorations about gene editing ethics issues, after analyzing the current status, discussions, and measures of applications of gene editing technology on human beings in China, we propose five suggestions about the ethical governance system construction of gene editing technology for China.
