Very few studies have explored this area, and a mediation model may aid in that research. For this study, a sample size of 364 adolescents ages 14-18 were surveyed (M = 15.64). Task refusal might hinder academic performance (e.g., grades, test scores, etc.); however,one model that has been proven to help decrease problem behaviors is the Prevent-TeachReinforce (PTR) model. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of the PTR model on the assessment and treatment of problem behavior for one high school student’s task refusal. Results demonstrated the PTR model helped identify plausible functions of task refusal; furthermore, the PTR model led to the development of an effective intervention that was feasible, function-based, and resulted in decreasing task refusal. Based on ethnographic fieldwork conducted at 12Stone Church in Atlanta, Georgia, this report explores the strategies that 12Stone (like other evangelical megachurches) implements in order to grow and strengthen a church membership that consists of tens of thousands of members. The most prevalent of these strategies is the demographic-based rhetoric that 12Stone uses to draw in its main demographic, which is politically right-wing, white, Christian men. Throughout typical development, children prioritize different perceptual, social, and linguistic cues to learn words. The earliest acquired words are often those that are perceptually salient and highly imageable. Imageability, the ease in which a word evokes a mental image, is a strong predictor for word age of acquisition in typically developing (TD) children, independent of other lexicosemantic features such as word frequency. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif (quasi kualitatif). Adapun metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, dokumentasi, dan penyebaran angket, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan MDAP (Manual Data Analysis Procedure). Penentuan informan dilakukan secara purposive sampling yaitu KPU Purwakarta dan pemilih pemula. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa partisipasi politik latent pemilih pemula di Kabupaten Purwakarta masih terbatas pada beberapa kegiatan saja sehingga menyebabkan literasi politik pemilih pemula masih tergolong rendah.
