Opportunities for humanizing teaching and learning in poly-synchronous and hybrid instruction settings are undeniable blessings of having to adapt to COVID-19 predictable unpredictability. The ACRL Information Literacy Framework is one such instrument that ideally adapts to this purpose. Intentional collaborative efforts between instruction librarians and faculty could allow for information literacy praxis to be incorporated into differentiated instruction. Under the canopy of Inclusive Pedagogy this admixture could be engagingly contextualized and actively executed in desired learning spaces during times like these. This study is evaluating how much a Major League Baseball player should earn in salary based on their WAR (Wins Above Replacement) metric while controlling for a player’s veteran status and their current team’s market size. All data analyzed in this study was collected from the 2021 baseball season. The population of this study consisted of 213 MLB players that played in at least eighty games throughout the 2021 season. We hypothesized that if a player has veteran status, their team has a large market size, and they produce a high WAR metric that it will result in the player …

The purpose of this research is to explain the value of turnovers lost, turnovers gained, total yards, points, and first downs when it comes to winning games. Using cross-sectional data analysis, this study analyzed all of the stats from the 2021 season. Then picked three random teams in the AFC and three teams from the NFC. Results of the study showed that both turnovers gained and lost had the largest impact.

Our study looks at different species of fish and uses their cross-length and volume to find correlations in weight among the different fish. The different type of fish that we compare include perch, pike, parkki, whitefish, bream, roach, and smelt. The dependent variable that we are using is weight. Once we predict the weight of the individual fish, we will also compare that weight to other fish species. The result of the data are that there is linearity, where the adjusted R squared is between 0.94 and 0.97, depending on our model. Therefore, 94 to 97 percent of the variability …

Navigating The Public Funding Landscape: Lessons From One Small, Isolated, Rural, Arts Organization, Elise L. Kieffer

This study follows the experience of one arts organization in an isolated, rural, Appalachian community of Kentucky, to explore the relationship between the NEA and the state arts agencies with which they partner. Using the case study of Burkesville Academy of Fine Arts as an inspiration, this question is explored: If BAFA had received necessary technical support from the KAC, is it likely that it might have been awarded funding by the NEA? The study compares BAFA to organizations in comparable communities who received NEA funding. Following findings, suggestions for policy and practice are provided.

Extremist ideas espousing violent means to gain recognition and legitimacy are more common in mainstream culture. This is the United States now, but it is also Italy sixty years prior. This project uses various archival materials to explore the two decades from 1960 to 1980 defined by cycles of widespread extremism, social fracturing, and domestic terror known in Italian history as The Years of Lead. This study uses responses from a focus group to examine how college students participate in cognitive offloading, and looks at whether doing so with analog or digital methods effects their memory differently. The results from these focus groups are used to conduct an n-gram analysis.

Differences in self perception (specifically aggression) was discovered in participants with siblings, and no difference of intelligence, outgoing personalities, creativity, competitiveness and family orientation (Van Volkom, Guerguis, & Kramer, 2017). Sisters were found to have more empathy than the brothers along with higher intimacy, knowledge, and emotional support (Walęcka-Matyja, 2017). There is a gap in my research between sibling jealousy and depression, sibling negativity, and intimacy in young adulthood (Hamwey & Whiteman, 2020). My study examines the similarity of personality to siblings. Some personality traits may include jealousy, outgoingness, competitiveness, and creativity.

Previous studies show that paternal involvement directly correlates to a decrease in the child’s probability of developing a mental illness (O’Gara, et.al. 2019). Research shows, the more supportive and the more affection a parent gives, the less likely a child is to develop depressive tendencies (Del Barrio, et. al. 2016) There is a gap in investigating whether or not having a loving father postpones the age at which someone is diagnosed with depression. This study provides insight into paternal closeness and the age at which someone is diagnosed with depression.

Research has suggested that premarital cohabitation is linked to a heightened risk of divorce and dissatisfaction if it occurs with someone other than the marriage partner (Teachman, 2004). The number of partners is linked to marital dissatisfaction for both men and women (Legkauskas & Stankevičienė, 2008). Involvement in church groups is linked to a 5x increase in likelihood of abstinence (Paul et al, 2000). Previous studies have used small sample sizes with little diversity and few men. However, my research will use a large, diverse sample size with both men and women.

Research has found that the age and strength of religion directly correlate to the level of alcohol consumption(Mason & Windle, 2002). Previous studies show that adult women with stronger religious beliefs consume less alcohol compared to those with weaker religious beliefs (Mattila & et al., 2001). There is a gap in investigating the relationship between religiosity and alcohol use in adolescents. This study provides insight into the relationship between religiosity and alcohol consumption with adolescents.

Studies have also shown that people who reported adverse relationships as children, tend to have more violence-related outcomes (Duke, 2010). There is currently a gap in explaining the association between maternal closeness and violent tendencies.
