Libraries are charged with being inclusive spaces for all patrons. Library (library and information science [LIS]) preparation programs, by extension, must prepare the next generation of librarians to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse population. Comparing The "Value Of Information Services" For Providers And Vulnerable Patrons: A Mixed-Methods Study With Academic Libraries And Students With Disabilities, Devendra Potnis, Kevin J. Mallary

Introduction. This multi-year, mixed-methods study compares (a) the reasons administrators and librarians of academic libraries invest in assistive technology for delivering information services to students with disabilities, with (b) the benefits that influence these students’ intention to use AT.

Method. In the first phase, 50 library administrators and 22 librarians from 186 public universities across the US shared their top-three reasons for investing in assistive technology through a qualitative survey. In the second phase, 322 students with disabilities from the same institutions completed a quantitative survey, in which respondents shared individual-level benefits that influence their intention to use assistive technology. …

Are Library And Information Science Educators Teaching Accessibility? Content Analysis Of Syllabi, Kevin J. Mallary, Rea N. Simons, Clayton A. Copeland, Jackie Nikiema, Evan J. Dorman

Library and information science (LIS) graduates are expected to serve patrons from diverse backgrounds, including disabled patrons. While serving patrons with disabilities is a core value of librarianship, graduates often feel unprepared to serve disabled patrons, suggesting that programs inadequately train students to design accessible services. This study’s authors analyzed hundreds of course descriptions and 73 syllabi from 20 North American LIS programs to determine how often accessibility and disability topics are covered and how educators teach accessibility. Findings indicate that accessibility and disability topics are mostly covered in electives, meaning students may never develop accessibility competencies during their programs. …

Supervising Professor: Rachel Casey Informed by the researcher’s work with women struggling through separation and child custody legal proceedings with their abusive male co-parents, the study seeks to understand if and how Maine’s court system considers intimate partner violence (IPV) in family matters cases. The research aims to gain specific insight into family lawyers’ understanding and consideration of coercive control—a term encompassing gender-based, psychologically abusive and controlling behaviors—when representing clients in divorce and parental rights and responsibilities cases. As it wreaked tragedy on the world, the outbreak of COVID-19 helped expose a pandemic of a different kind, one steeped in distrust and contrarianism. This movement, termed science denialism, has been lurking and undermining public health efforts for decades. Specifically, it is “the employment of rhetorical arguments to give the appearance of legitimate debate where there is none, an approach that has the ultimate goal of rejecting a proposition on which a scientific consensus exists.” Unlike skepticism, which is “doubt as to the truth of something” and works to progress both science and society, denialism is characterized by individuals’ …

Article 281 states that workers must be put on a probationary period for 6 months of employment before receiving benefits. ENDO-contracting is the situation where corporations hire workers on 5 to 6-month contracts to avoid paying their workers benefits. This research will be conducted using qualitative data from past research publications, court cases, and interviewing anti-ENDO advocates. The historical summary will explain the origins of this law and how it has progressed into common labor practice. ปัจจุบัน การย้ายถิ่นของกลุ่มแรงงานนักฟุตบอลได้รับความสนใจจากกลุ่มนักวิชาการที่ศึกษาการย้ายถิ่นมากขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง อย่างไรก็ดี การศึกษามักมุ่งเน้นการทำความเข้าใจการย้ายถิ่นฐานของนักฟุตบอลจากภูมิภาคผู้ส่งออกนักฟุตบอล โดยเฉพาะแอฟริกาสู่ภูมิภาคยุโรป ซึ่งเป็นอดีตเจ้าอาณานิคม ขณะที่ในความเป็นจริง มีนักฟุตบอลจากภูมิภาคแอฟริกาหลั่งไหลเข้ามายังภูมิภาคอื่น ๆ ทั่วโลกอย่างต่อเนื่อง สำหรับประเทศไทย มีนักฟุตบอลชาวแอฟริกาที่ย้ายถิ่นเข้ามายังประเทศไทยจำนวนมาก และหลายคนได้สร้างคุณูปการแก่วงการฟุตบอลไทย จึงนำมาสู่คำถามที่ว่า ปัจจัยใดส่งผลให้แรงงานนักฟุตบอลจากทวีปแอฟริกาย้ายถิ่นเข้ามาค้าแข้งในประเทศไทย การศึกษาพบว่า พลวัตของโลกาภิวัตน์ รวมถึงการแปลงฟุตบอลเป็นสินค้า กอปรกับการที่ฟุตบอลกลายเป็นอาชีพที่ประชาชนจำนวนหนึ่งมองว่านำมาซึ่งรายได้จำนวนมาก ก็นำมาซึ่งการย้ายถิ่นฐานของนักฟุตบอล สำหรับทวีปแอฟริกาซึ่งประสบปัญหาความยากจน อาชีพนักฟุตบอลกลายเป็นความใฝ่ฝันของเยาวชนชายจำนวนมากที่ต้องการแสวงหาชีวิตที่ดีกว่าเพื่อตนเองและครอบครัว อย่างไรก็ดี ข้อจำกัดด้านการพัฒนาฟุตบอลในทวีปแอฟริกา ทำให้นักฟุตบอลชาวแอฟริกันต้องการไปค้าแข้งนอกทวีป โดยเฉพาะทวีปยุโรปที่ให้รายได้สูงสุด อีกทั้งยังมีอิทธิพลเหนือสื่อที่เผยแพร่ฟุตบอลในทวีปแอฟริกา แม้ประเทศไทยที่จะมีลีกฟุตบอลที่ดี แต่ถือเป็นเพียงทางผ่านที่ช่วยสนับสนุนให้ผู้คนได้เห็นนักฟุตบอลกลุ่มดังกล่าวมากขึ้นเท่านั้น อย่างไรก็ดี มิใช่นักฟุตบอลทุกคนจะประสบความสำเร็จในการยกระดับตนเองไปค้าแข้งในยุโรป ขณะที่จำนวนหนึ่งตระหนักว่าประเทศไทยมีความเหมาะสมและเลือกที่จะค้าแข้งในประเทศไทยระยะยาว

This dissertation explores China's strategic engagement through the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC), focusing on the construction and effectiveness of the LMC's Third Pillar, Social, Cultural, and People-to-People Exchanges, in fostering an LMC identity. In short, this China-led institutional arrangement aims to build regionalism and regionalization among the riparian countries. This dissertation uses a constructivist framing theory and qualitative research methods to conduct the research. This research discusses the design and implementation of the third-pillar construction. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจหนังสือหายากในคอลเล็กชันหนังสือส่วนตัวของพระยาอนุมานราชธนภายในหอสมุดแห่งชาติด้านจำนวนตัวเล่ม ข้อมูลทางบรรณานุกรม ลักษณะทางกายภาพ และประวัติการครอบครอง รวมทั้งลักษณะสภาพการชำรุดวิธีการวิจัยเป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ ใช้วิธีวิจัย 2 วิธีในการเก็บข้อมูล ได้แก่ การสัมภาษณ์เบื้องต้น (Preliminary interview) เพื่อให้ทราบข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวข้องกับห้องสมุดอนุมานราชธนในช่วงเวลาที่ผ่านมา จากนั้นจึงดำเนินการสำรวจ ซึ่งผู้วิจัยแบ่งขั้นตอนการสำรวจออกเป็น 2 ครั้ง ได้แก่ การสำรวจเบื้องต้น (Pilot survey) และการสำรวจแบบเต็มรูปแบบ (Full survey) โดยใช้แบบฟอร์มการบันทึกข้อมูลเป็นเครื่องมือวิจัยในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับคอลเล็กชันหนังสือส่วนตัวของพระยาอนุมานราชธนผลการวิจัยพบว่า จำนวนตัวเล่มของหนังสือหายากในคอลเล็กชันหนังสือส่วนตัวของพระยาอนุมานราชธนมีจำนวน 1,226 เล่ม โดยมีจำนวนหนังสือที่ไม่เคยลงรายการบรรณานุกรมในฐานข้อมูลห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ Aleph จำนวน 215 เล่ม มีลักษณะทางกายภาพส่วนมากไม่มีภาพประกอบหน้าปก และภาพประกอบในเล่มเป็นภาพชีวประวัติบุคคล จำนวนหน้าที่พบโดยส่วนมากคือ 100 หน้าขึ้นไป และขนาดหนังสือเมื่อวัดตามความยาวที่พบมากที่สุด คือ 23 เซนติเมตร ส่วนขนาดที่เหมาะสมของกระดาษไร้กรดต่อขนาดหนังสือ คือ A4 (23*29.2) ส่วนประวัติการครอบครองที่พบสามารถแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ การแสดงความครอบครองโดยบุคคล และการแสดงความเป็นเจ้าของหรือกรรมสิทธิ์โดยห้องสมุด โดยลักษณะการแสดงความครอบครองโดยบุคคลที่พบมากที่สุดคือ หนังสือฉบับที่ผู้แต่งหรือเจ้าของเดิมลงชื่อกำกับไว้ และลักษณะการแสดงความเป็นเจ้าของหรือกรรมสิทธิ์โดยห้องสมุดที่พบมากที่สุด คือ การประทับตราที่หน้าหลังปกใน และเป็นลักษณะตราประทับแบบที่ต้องกรอกข้อความ สำหรับลักษณะการชำรุดที่พบมากที่สุดของคอลเล็กชันนี้ คือ มีร่องรอยการกัดกินของสัตว์และแมลง

อิทธิพลของการเจ็บป่วยด้วยโรคไม่ติดต่อเรื้อรังที่มีต่อภาวะซึมเศร้าในประชากรไทยวัยกลางคนและวัยสูงอายุ, ปิยาภรณ์ นฤภัย

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาภาวะซึมเศร้าที่เกิดขึ้นในประชากรไทยวัยกลางคนและวัยสูงอายุ และอิทธิพลของการเจ็บป่วยด้วยโรคไม่ติดต่อเรื้อรัง รวมถึงปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการมีภาวะซึมเศร้าของประชากรไทยวัยกลางคนและวัยสูงอายุ โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างในการศึกษาคือประชากรที่มีอายุ 35 ปีบริบูรณ์ขึ้นไป ที่ตอบแบบสัมภาษณ์ด้วยตนเองจากโครงการสำรวจอนามัยและสวัสดิการ พ.ศ. 2564 และ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยการถดถอยโลจิสติกทวิภาค (Binary logistic regression analysis)ผลการศึกษาพบว่า สัดส่วนของประชากรไทยวัยกลางคนที่มีภาวะซึมเศร้าน้อยกว่าวัยสูงอายุ และการเจ็บป่วยด้วยโรคไม่ติดต่อเรื้อรังมีความสัมพันธ์กับการมีภาวะซึมเศร้าของประชากรไทยทั้ง 2 ช่วงวัยอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 โดยประชากรวัยกลางคนที่ป่วยเป็นโรคไม่ติดต่อเรื้อรังมีโอกาสที่จะมีภาวะซึมเศร้าสูงกว่าผู้ป่วยวัยสูงอายุ และปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการมีภาวะซึมเศร้าของผู้ป่วยโรคไม่ติดต่อเรื้อรังทั้งในวัยกลางคนและวัยสูงอายุ ได้แก่ สถานภาพการทำงาน จำนวนของโรคเรื้อรังที่เป็น การหยุดกิจวัตรประจำวันเนื่องจากการเจ็บป่วย วิธีการรักษาพยาบาล และค่ารักษาพยาบาล ในขณะที่ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับการมีภาวะซึมเศร้าที่พบเฉพาะในผู้ป่วยวัยกลางคน ประกอบด้วย ศาสนา ระดับการศึกษา เขตที่อยู่อาศัย และค่าพาหนะไป-กลับเพื่อเดินทางไปรักษาพยาบาล และประเภทโรค นอกจากนี้ผลการศึกษาพบว่าปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อการมีภาวะซึมเศร้าที่พบเฉพาะผู้ป่วยวัยสูงอายุ ประกอบด้วย เพศ สวัสดิการค่ารักษาพยาบาล และจำนวนสมาชิกในครัวเรือน ดังนั้น การให้ความสำคัญกับจำนวนโรคไม่ติดต่อเรื้อรัง ประเภทโรคและการดูแลผู้ป่วยในแต่ละกลุ่มวัยให้เข้าถึงการรักษาและได้รับการรักษาอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ และคำนึงถึงลักษณะทางประชากร เศรษฐกิจและสังคมที่แตกต่างกัน จึงเป็นมาตรการที่สำคัญที่จะช่วยป้องกันและลดปัญหาภาวะซึมเศร้าของประชากรไทยวัยกลางคนและวัยสูงอายุ

การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพในครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพแนวปรากฏการณ์วิทยาเชิงตีความ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประสบการณ์ทางจิตใจของวัยรุ่นหญิงท่ี่เคยถูกกระทำความรุนแรงจากคู่รัก ซึ่งมีการเก็บข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกแบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง ผู้ให้ข้อมูลคือวัยรุ่นเพศหญิงที่เคยถูกกระทำความรุนแรงจากคู่รักเพศชาย และปัจจุบันได้มีการยุติความสัมพันธ์แล้ว จำนวน 6 คน โดยมีช่วงอายุ 20 - 24 ปี ผลการวิจัยสามารถแบ่งได้เป็น 4 ประเด็นหลักคือ 1) ประสบการณ์ความรุนแรงที่เผชิญในความสัมพันธ์ ประกอบด้วย ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลให้เกิดความรุนแรง และรูปแบบของความรุนแรง 2) การตัดสินใจเมื่อเจอความรุนแรงในความสัมพันธ์ ประกอบด้วย ตัดสินใจอยู่ต่อในความสัมพันธ์ และตัดสินใจยุติความสัมพันธ์ 3) ผลกระทบจากการได้รับความรุนแรงในความสัมพันธ์ ประกอบด้วย ผลกระทบขณะอยู่ในความสัมพันธ์ และผลกระทบหลังจากยุติความสัมพันธ์ และ 4) สิ่งที่ได้เรียนรู้หลังจากยุติความสัมพันธ์ ประกอบด้วย แนวทางการข้ามผ่านประสบการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น และการป้องกันตัวเองจากความสัมพันธ์ที่มีการใช้ความรุนแรง โดยการวิจัยนี้ช่วยให้เกิดความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับประสบการณ์ทางจิตใจของวัยรุ่นหญิงที่เคยถูกกระทำความรุนแรงจากคู่รัก ทั้งระหว่างที่อยู่ในความสัมพันธ์ ขณะยุติความสัมพันธ์ และหลังจากยุติความสัมพันธ์แล้ว โดยสามารถนำผลการวิจัยไปพัฒนาการสนับสนุนและช่วยเหลือทางจิตใจให้แก่วัยรุ่นในกลุ่มนี้ เพื่อให้เกิดการช่วยเหลืออย่างเหมาะสมและมีประสิทธิภาพ

ปัจจุบันโรคซึมเศร้ากลายเป็นที่สนใจของคนในสังคมและถูกกล่าวถึงเป็นวงกว้าง คนในสังคมมีการยอมรับเข้าใจ และให้โอกาสผู้ป่วยซึมเศร้ามากขึ้นเมื่อเทียบจากอดีต ส่งผลให้ผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้าสามารถใช้ชีวิตและทำงานกับคนอื่นได้ปกติ แต่ในขณะเดียวกันก็ยังมีบางคนในสังคมที่ยังคงมีมุมมองด้านลบหรือมีเจตคติที่ไม่ดีกับผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้าอยู่ ทำให้เกิดความรู้สึกกลัว ไม่ต้อนรับ ไม่ยอมรับ ไม่เป็นมิตร ไม่จ้างงาน ไม่ให้ความช่วยเหลือและไม่พูดคุยด้วย ส่งผลกระทบทางลบต่อผู้ป่วยโดยตรง ผู้วิจัยจึงออกแบบการทดลองเพื่อศึกษาการลดเจตคติรังเกียจกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้าผ่านการจินตนาการถึงการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้า คนไทยที่มีงานประจำและไม่มีประวัติเป็นโรคซึมเศร้าจำนวน 141 คนเข้าร่วมการทดลองออนไลน์ โดยถูกสุ่มแบ่งเป็น 2 กลุ่ม คือ เงื่อนไขควบคุม (n = 68) ซึ่งถูกกระตุ้นให้จินตนาการว่าได้ร่วมงานกับผู้ที่ไม่ใช่ผู้ป่วยซึมเศร้า และเงื่อนไขทดลอง (n = 73) ซึ่งถูกกระตุ้นให้จินตนาการว่าได้ร่วมงานกับผู้ป่วยซึมเศร้า จากนั้นตอบมาตรวัดผลการจัดกระทำ มาตรความวิตกกังวลในการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับกลุ่มผู้ป่วยซึมเศร้า มาตรวัดเจตคติรังเกียจกลุ่มผู้ป่วยซึมเศร้า ความถี่ของการปฏิสัมพันธ์กับกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้า คุณภาพของการปฏิสัมพันธ์กับกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้าในชีวิตจริงและความรู้เกี่ยวกับโรคซึมเศร้า ผลการศึกษาสนับสนุนและไม่สนับสนุนสมมติฐานที่ตั้งไว้ คือพบความแตกต่างของความวิตกกังวลในการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้าระหว่างเงื่อนไข ไม่พบความแตกต่างของเจตคติรังเกียจกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้าระหว่างเงื่อนไข พบอิทธิพลของการจินตนาการถึงการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้าในการลดความวิตกกังวลในการปฏิสัมพันธ์กับกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้าและเจตคติรังเกียจกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้า และไม่พบว่าความวิตกกังวลในการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้ามีอิทธิพลส่งผ่านต่อเจตคติรังเกียจกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้า การวิเคราะห์เพิ่มเติมพบว่าปัจจัยทีมีอิทธิพลในการลดความวิตกกังวลในการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้า คือคุณภาพของปฏิสัมพันธ์กับกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้าในชีวิตจริง งานวิจัยนี้จึงให้ข้อค้นพบเชิงประยุกต์ คือ สามารถนำการจินตนาการถึงการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ทางบวกไปประยุกต์ใช้ในบริบทต่างๆและผู้เกี่ยวข้องควรส่งเสริมการปฏิสัมพันธ์ทางบวกระหว่างผู้ที่ไม่ใช่ผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้า กับผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้าที่เป็นธรรมชาติ งานวิจัยนี้ยังมีประโยชน์ทางวิชาการคือเป็นงานวิจัยแรกที่ทดลองใช้ทฤษฎีทางจิตวิทยาสังคมในการลดอคติที่คนในสังคมไทยมีตอ่ผู้ป่วยจิตเวช

การค้าขยะระหว่างประเทศ เป็นวิธีการที่ทุกประเทศทั่วโลกใช้ในการกำจัดขยะ โดยเฉพาะประเทศที่พัฒนาแล้วซึ่งมีการสร้างขยะจำนวนมหาศาล ผ่านการให้ความหมายใหม่จากขยะที่หมายถึงของเสีย กลายเป็นวัตถุดิบชั้นรองที่สามารถนำไปสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มผ่านการรีไซเคิลได้ โดยอาศัยวาทกรรมการพัฒนาที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นมาเพื่อให้การส่งออกขยะไปยังประเทศที่มีการพัฒนาน้อยกว่าเป็นไปอย่างชอบธรรม ทำให้ประเทศปลายทางได้รับผลกระทบจากการกำจัดขยะแทนประเทศต้นทาง การค้าขยะระหว่างประเทศจึงเป็นการล่าอาณานิคมในรูปแบบใหม่ที่เรียกว่า "Waste Colonialism" ดังกรณีศึกษาประเทศไทย ที่รัฐบาลทหารขาดธรรมาภิบาล เป็นผู้อำนวยความสะดวกให้แก่นายทุนต่างชาติ นำเข้าขยะมารีไซเคิลโดยมองข้ามผลกระทบต่อธรรมชาติและความเป็นอยู่ของประชาชน ทำให้ประเทศไทยตกอยู่ภายใต้อาณานิคมขยะของประเทศที่พัฒนาแล้ว

การปรับโครงสร้างกำลังพลถือเป็นองค์ประกอบสำคัญของการปฏิรูปกองทัพจีนในปี 2015 ภายใต้การนำของ สีจิ้นผิง ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของยุทธศาสตร์การฟื้นฟูความยิ่งใหญ่ของประเทศหรือ “ความฝันจีน” โดยมุ่งสร้างกองทัพที่ทันสมัย เข้มแข็ง และมีประสิทธิภาพสูง เพื่อเป็นหลักประกันความมั่นคงและผลักดันการยกระดับสถานะของจีนบนเวทีโลก การปรับโครงสร้างกำลังพลของกองทัพจีนประกอบด้วย การปรับลดกำลังพลลง 300,000 นาย และการปรับสัดส่วนกำลังพลระหว่างเหล่าทัพ ผลการศึกษาพบว่าการปรับโครงสร้างดังกล่าวช่วยให้กองทัพจีนสามารถจัดสรรงบประมาณได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น โดยเฉพาะการลงทุนในเทคโนโลยีและอาวุธยุทโธปกรณ์ที่ทันสมัย เพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการฝึกอบรมกำลังพล การวิจัยและพัฒนาด้านการทหาร และการบูรณาการการปฏิบัติการระหว่างเหล่าทัพ นอกจากนี้ การปรับโครงสร้างยังส่งผลให้กองทัพจีนมีขีดความสามารถในการปฏิบัติภารกิจที่หลากหลายมากขึ้น ทั้งในระดับภูมิภาคและระดับโลก โดยเฉพาะการพัฒนาขีดความสามารถในการปฏิบัติการทางทะเลในพื้นที่ยุทธศาสตร์สำคัญอย่างทะเลจีนใต้ รวมถึงการส่งเสริมการขยายอิทธิพลทางทหารในระดับโลกผ่านการจัดตั้งฐานทัพในต่างประเทศและการสร้างความร่วมมือด้านความมั่นคงกับประเทศพันธมิตร การปฏิรูปครั้งนี้จึงถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการวางรากฐานสำหรับการพัฒนาประเทศในระยะยาวและการเสริมสร้างอำนาจของจีนในเวทีโลก อันจะนำไปสู่การบรรลุเป้าหมายการเป็นมหาอำนาจชั้นนำของโลกภายในปี 2049 ตามวิสัยทัศน์ “ความฝันของจีน”

งานวิจัยเชิงสร้างสรรค์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อสร้างสรรค์เรียงความภาพถ่ายเพื่อสื่อสารเรื่องชีวิตและความตายจากวรรณกรรมเรื่องทิวส์เดส์วิทมอร์รี 2) เพื่อสำรวจทัศนคติของผู้ชมที่มีต่อเรียงความภาพถ่ายจากวรรณกรรมเรื่องทิวส์เดส์วิทมอร์รี มีเครื่องมือในการวิจัยดังต่อไปนี้ 1) วรรณกรรมทิวส์เดส์วิทมอร์รีฉบับภาษาอังกฤษและฉบับแปลไทย 2) บันทึกการสร้างสรรค์ 3) การทดสอบความเที่ยงของเครื่องมือจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญ 4) การสนทนากลุ่ม 5) แบบสอบถาม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ขั้นตอนก่อนการสร้างสรรค์ ต้องศึกษาและวิเคราะห์โครงสร้างการเล่าเรื่องของวรรณกรรมฯ เพื่อทำความเข้าใจและศึกษาเรื่องชีวิตและความตาย และงานดัดแปลงที่ผ่านมา 2) ขั้นตอนการสร้างสรรค์ ได้แก่ 1) การคัดเลือกและสังเคราะห์วรรณกรรมฯ บทที่แสดงถึงเรื่องชีวิตและความตายเพื่อสร้างสรรค์บทกลอนและตัวละคร 2) การสร้างฉาก 3) การถ่ายและตกแต่งภาพ 4) การจัดทำรูปเล่ม 5) การตรวจสอบโดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญ 3) ​ขั้นตอนหลังการสร้างสรรค์ การเผยแพร่ผลงานและสำรวจทัศคติผู้ชม 2 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ 1) กลุ่มการสนทนากลุ่ม 2) กลุ่มการตอบแบบสอบถาม แบ่งออกเป็นกลุ่มผู้ที่เคยและไม่เคยอ่านวรรณกรรมฯ ผลการสำรวจผู้ที่เคยอ่านวรรณกรรมฯ สามารถเข้าใจเนื้อหาและแนวคิดเรื่องชีวิตและความตายได้ราบรื่นกว่าอีกกลุ่ม ทั้ง 2 กลุ่มนั้นชื่นชอบองค์ประกอบด้านภาพถ่ายมากที่สุด ส่วนใหญ่มีความเห็นว่าภาพถ่ายและกลอนนั้นส่งเสริมกัน การประเมินด้านการรับรู้เรื่องชีวิตและความตายมีเกณฑ์ในแต่ละองค์ประกอบส่วนใหญ่คือ มาก

การศึกษาวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษาเพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการพัฒนานักกีฬากอล์ฟอาชีพในประเทศไทยให้มีความเป็นเลิศในการแข่งขันระดับทวีป งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้เก็บข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพจากผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ จำนวน 7 คน ประกอบไปด้วย ผู้ที่ปฏิบัติงานหรือมีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับสมาคมกีฬากอล์ฟ (อาทิ สมาคมกีฬากอล์ฟอาชีพแห่งประเทศไทย และสมาคมกีฬากอล์ฟอาชีพสตรี) จำนวน 5 คน และนักกีฬากอล์ฟอาชีพ จำนวน 2 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่าปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการพัฒนาความเป็นเลิศของนักกีฬากอล์ฟอาชีพไทยนั้น มีอยู่ด้วยกัน 3 ปัจจัยหลัก ได้แก่ 1) ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลด้านวินัยส่วนบุคคล แรงจูงใจในการเป็นนักกีฬากอล์ฟอาชีพ และการเพิ่มพูนความรู้เทคนิคการเล่น 2) ปัจจัยด้านผู้ฝึกสอนนักกีฬากอล์ฟในประเด็นมาตรฐานการสอบใบรับรอง และหลักสูตรการสร้างผู้ฝึกสอนนักกีฬากอล์ฟอาชีพ และ 3) ปัจจัยด้านการสนับสนุนจากผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียที่เกี่ยวข้อง อันได้แก่ สมาคมกีฬากอล์ฟ ภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน รวมไปถึงการบูรณาการร่วมกับองค์กรอื่นและปัจจัยด้านการสนับสนุนอื่น ๆ ปัจจัยทั้งสามล้วนมีความเชื่อมโยงกับอุปสรรคของนักกอล์ฟอาชีพที่สำคัญด้านหลักสูตรและการรับรองนักกอล์ฟอาชีพที่มีมาตรฐาน ค่าใช้จ่ายในการเพิ่มพูนทักษะ การซ้อม การเดินทางไปแข่งขันที่สูง และปัญหาการเข้าถึงเครื่องมือและเทคโนโลยีทางวิทยาศาสตร์การกีฬาได้ยาก ทั้งนี้ผู้วิจัยได้อภิปรายผลและเสนอแนะแนวทางในการปิดช่องว่างปัจจัยที่ส่งผลให้นักกีฬากอล์ฟอาชีพไทยมีความเป็นเลิศในระดับทวีปได้ไว้ข้างท้ายของงานวิจัยชิ้นนี้ด้วย

ผลของโปรแกรมการเต้น ซี แอนด์ ซี ต่อการเสริมสร้างความสามารถทางปัญญาในการจัดการพฤติกรรมของเด็กวัยอนุบาล, อริสรา แก้วม่วง

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาโปรแกรมการเต้น ซี แอนด์ ซี ที่มีต่อการเสริมสร้างความสามารถทางปัญญาในการจัดการพฤติกรรม (EF) ของเด็กวัยอนุบาล กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นเด็ก ชั้นอนุบาล 2 ทั้งหมด 60 คน สุ่มกลุ่มตัวอย่างเข้ากลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุมด้วยวิธีการจับคู่เด็ก ที่มีคะแนนความสามารถทางปัญญาในการจัดการพฤติกรรม (EF) โดยรวม จากการประเมิน หัว-เท้า-เข่า-ไหล่ ในช่วงก่อนการเข้าร่วมโปรแกรมใกล้เคียงกัน เข้ากลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุม ทีละคู่ โดยให้เด็กกลุ่มทดลองเข้าร่วมโปรแกรมการเต้น ซี แอนด์ ซี รวมทั้งสิ้น 24 ครั้ง ในขณะที่เด็กกลุ่มควบคุมทำกิจกรรมตามปกติในชั้นเรียน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติความแปรปรวนสองทางแบบผสม ผลการทดลองพบว่า โปรแกรมการเต้น ซี แอนด์ ซี ส่งผลต่อคะแนนความสามารถ ทางปัญญาในการจัดการพฤติกรรม (EF) โดยรวม จากการประเมิน หัว-เท้า-ไหล่-เข่า ของเด็กกลุ่มทดลอง สูงขึ้นกว่าก่อนเข้าร่วมโปรแกรม และสูงกว่ากลุ่มควบคุมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ ทางสถิติที่ .05 แต่ไม่ส่งต่อคะแนนความสามารถทางปัญญาในการจัดการพฤติกรรม (EF) แยกองค์ประกอบ การยับยั้งพฤติกรรม ความจำเพื่อใช้งาน และการยืดหยุ่นทางความคิด จากการประเมิน Early Years Toolbox (EYT)

การศึกษาปัญหา อุปสรรค และแนวทางการพัฒนาประสิทธิภาพการปฏิบัติงานในการคัดกรองและตรวจสอบผู้โดยสารของตำรวจคนเข้าเมืองท่าอากาศยานดอนเมืองนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา 1) เพื่อศึกษาปัญหาและอุปสรรคของตำรวจตรวจคนเข้าเมืองในการป้องกันอาชญากรรมในการคัดกรอง และตรวจสอบผู้โดยสารที่เดินทางเข้าประเทศไทยผ่านท่าอากาศยานดอนเมือง 2)เพื่อเสนอแนะแนวทางการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการคัดกรอง และตรวจสอบผู้โดยสารที่เดินทางเข้าประเทศไทยผ่านท่าอากาศยานดอนเมืองใช้วิธีการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-depth interview) โดยใช้แบบสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง (semi-structured selection interview) สัมภาษณ์ผู้ปฏิบัติงานระดับผู้บริหาร ผู้ควบคุมการปฏิบัติ และผู้ปฏิบัติงานในการคัดกรองและตรวจสอบผู้โดยสาร ณ ท่าอากาศยานดอนเมืองที่เป็นผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ จำนวน 12 คน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ปริมาณผู้โดยสารที่เดินทางเข้ามาในช่วงเวลาชั่วโมงหนาแน่น ทำให้ระบายผู้โดยสารได้ช้า หรือบุคลากรที่มีในหน่วยงานไม่เพียงพอ ระบบเทคโนโลยีไม่เสถียร ทำให้ไม่สามารถเก็บข้อมูลได้ครบถ้วน เป็นต้น แนวทางพัฒนาประสิทธิภาพการปฏิบัติงานควรมีการเชื่อมโยงฐานข้อมูลของหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องไว้ด้วยกัน เช่น ข้อมูลหมายจับ ข้อมูลประวัติบุคคลพ้นโทษ และมีการอัพเดทข้อมูลต่าง ๆ อย่างสม่ำเสมอเพื่อให้การตรวจสอบของเจ้าหน้าที่ตรวจคนเข้าเมืองเป็นไปได้อย่างถูกต้องและรวดเร็ว เนื่องจากเจ้าหน้าที่ตรวจคนเข้าเมือง ที่ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ในสนามบินและในหลายพื้นที่ต้องปฏิบัติ หน้าที่ตลอด 24 ชั่วโมง ซึ่งมีความจำเป็นต้องประสานตรวจสอบข้อมูลกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องอยู่เสมอ จึงควรมีช่องทางกลางในการประสานงานร่วมระหว่างหน่วยงานที่มีความเกี่ยวข้องใกล้ชิด และสามารถติดต่อสอบถามได้ตลอด 24 ชั่วโมง

สารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้เป็นการศึกษาหาเหตุปัจจัยที่ทำให้บริษัทไทยยังคงรักษาฐานการลงทุนในเมียนมาภายหลังการเกิดรัฐประหาร 2021 ซึ่งได้ศึกษาวิจัยผ่านกรอบทฤษฎีเสรีนิยมใหม่ (Neoliberalism) ของ Friedrich Hayek เพื่อนำไปสู่คำตอบของคำถามวิจัย โดยส่วนแรกของสารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้จะกล่าวถึงเหตุการณ์การรัฐประหารเมียนมา 2021 ความรุนแรงและการตอบโต้ของประชาชนที่เกิดขึ้น รวมไปถึงการคว่ำบาตรจากชาติตะวันตกทั้งจากสหรัฐอเมริกาและสหภาพยุโรป ส่วนถัดไปผู้วิจัยได้กล่าวถึงนโยบายทางเศรษฐกิจของไทยที่มีต่อเมียนมาและการวิเคราะห์หาสาเหตุโดยนำกรอบเสรีนิยมใหม่ (Neoliberalism) ของ Friedrich Hayek มาเป็นเครื่องมือสำคัญ นอกจากนี้ผู้วิจัยยังได้ยกตัวอย่างบริษัทเอกชนรายใหญ่ของไทยที่ยังคงรักษาฐานการลงทุนในเมียนมาเพื่อเป็นตัวอย่างประกอบทำให้เห็นภาพได้ชัดเจนมากยิ่งขึ้น และส่วนสุดท้ายคือบทสรุปที่ผู้วิจัยได้วิเคราะห์และสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงปัจจัยสำคัญที่ทำให้บริษัทไทยดำเนินการลงทุนในเมียนมาท่ามกลางสถานการณ์ความไม่สงบทางการเมืองภายหลังเกิดรัฐประหารขึ้นในปี 2021 ผ่านกรอบทฤษฎีเสรีนิยมใหม่ (Neoliberalism)

Postmaterialism And Corporate Tax Avoidance, Yujia Cui, Jiwei Wang, Kangtao Ye

Using a proprietary dataset of China tax audits, we found that firms owned by investors from countries with higher postmaterialism values were less likely to engage in tax-avoidance behavior in China. In addition, we found some evidence that the negative association between postmaterialism and tax avoidance is more pronounced when tax enforcement is stronger, indicating that national culture and formal institutions act as complements. To check the external validity of our main results, we further used a cross-country sample from 21 countries over 22 years. The Working Group II contribution to the IPCC’s Sixth Assessment Report states that effective adaptation to the changing climate will require transformational changes in how people live. This article explores the potential for climate services to catalyze and foster transformational adaptation. I argue that weather and climate information are not, in and of themselves, tools for transformation. Consider two politicians who decide whether to follow what they believe the electorate wants or choose the option that secures their private gain. Policies are implemented when the politicians reach a unanimous decision. The electorate only rewards a politician when a policy is implemented or when the politician is the only one whose action coincides with the popular decision. The results show that if politicians have good decision-making abilities, sufficiently high payoffs in policy implementation—given moderate private agenda payoffs—push them to implement the popular policy.
