This form of art is interesting because it demonstrates that change or development of an art does not only arise from the artist’s own creative processes, but it may also occur due to external factors. This article aims to discuss the development of ancient Muslim settlements on the west coast of Aceh based on the findings of Islamic gravestones at the Binanga site in Subulussalam City, Aceh. This site is very unique, it is located inland and right on the banks of the Singkel River, which is connected to the highlands of Sumatra. There are 131 Islamic gravestones, and their shapes vary greatly. Big pharma is increasingly using acquisitions to fill their R&D pipelines and the proliferation of the biotechnology industry has created a thick market of innovative target startups. This dissertation analyzes the dynamic equilibrium effects of biotech startup acquisitions by big pharma on drug innovation and entry. Using a novel dataset on 175 acquired startups from 2000 - 2018, I document several new facts regarding the R&D outcomes of acquired drug projects and entry behavior of startups in markets where acquisitions occur. The importance of disclosing a patient safety incident to the patient involved is recognized. In Qatar, there is no legal requirement for disclosure. The primary health care system in Qatar includes 30 health centers located around the country, managed by the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC). Over 63 nationalities of staff deliver care in the health centers, many coming from countries where a disclosure policy is not implemented, and staff would be reluctant to disclose an incident to a patient for fear of reprimand. The purpose of this study is to understand COVID-19 vaccine perception and hesitancy among uninsured free clinic patients using the theory of planned behavior. The study aimed to understand the lived experience of cancer patients who abandon treatment. Four semi-structured interviews were conducted, and the data was examined using interpretative phenomenological analysis. It resulted in four superordinate themes: (i) ‘Lack of knowledge about cancer’ dealt with patients’ knowledge and perceptions about their cancer. (ii) ‘Hopelessness with oneself and God.’ (iii) ‘Distress caused by numerous cancer-related issues’ captured the challenges faced by cancer patients. This analysis demonstrates that there are significant regional disparities in housing affordability among US Census-designated regions, with the Northeast and West consistently bearing the highest costs. Over time, the burdens incurred by both owners and tenants have lessened, but renters' burdens have grown considerably. Furthermore, significant regional differences in severely cost-burdened households are highlighted. The Northeast has more severely cost-burdened households than the Midwest, South, or West. There are also significant ethnic differences: Asian Americans experience a slightly lower housing cost burden, while African Americans and Native Americans bear the greatest burden, followed by Hispanics. Based on thirty-seven interviews with musicians and performers in Mongolia and Hawaiʻi, this ethnography explores the complex relationships between nationalism, cultural imperialism, hybridity, and conceptions of authenticity in the colonial context through the lens of folk music. Engaging with theories of practice and postcolonialism, I argue that within contemporary contexts of globalization and cultural imperialism, musicians and performers have formed a sense of musical and cultural identity dependent on nationalist conceptions of tradition, yet the notion of cultural authenticity no longer depends on the absence of Western influence, but on the cultural sovereignty of the artist and the agency of …
