Catalonia has formally acknowledged cultural diversity in its cultural and linguistic policies since the 1990s. The parliament has enacted laws protecting the Aranese language in the Val d’Aran, and the Generalitat has integrated immigrants thanks to interdepartmental programmes. Around 2010, Catalonia and Spain entered a political crisis, which was intensified by the central government’s recentralization, notably in cultural and linguistic policies. Studies show that individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity also experience trauma and mental illnesses. Despite this evidence, many resources provided through state welfare services seldom allocate sufficient funds and personnel to help address mental health. This study investigates the relationship between housing insecurity and trauma for adult women who have tried to access assistance throughout Southern California. To do this, I conducted in-depth interviews and DSM-5 questionnaires with twenty-six women during the summer of 2023 and 2024 via Zoom. With the HIV/AIDS epidemic gripping the world in the 1990s and the resurgence of the antitrafficking discourse in the 2000s, the sex work/abolitionist debate took center stage. Proponents of sex work uphold the labor and livelihood paradigm based on consent; the abolitionists, on the other hand, dismiss sex work as work to posit prostitution as the paradigmatic example of patriarchal violence toward women. Finding affordable childcare can be a struggle. Childcare subsidy programs help reduce barriers to stable childcare options and support parents’ employment, but due to administrative hurdles, such as recertification periods and income reporting requirements, many eligible parents are not using these programs. Using quarterly employment and earnings data from 2016-2019 Virginia administrative data, this brief describes associations between childcare subsidy program participation and household employment and earnings outcomes among low-income families in Virginia. Results show that, following initial childcare subsidy receipt, working parents increased their labor force participation, earned more money, and experienced more economic and employment stability compared to …

Indonesia has initiated trade liberalization to boost the coffee export performance in the international market through trade agreements (FTA). However, Indonesian coffee export performance tends to decline. This study aims to analyze the effect of Indonesia’s FTA with its trading partners and other determinants of Indonesian coffee exports. This research employs a modified export approach gravity model with PPML estimation. The result shows that the FTA implementation generally can promote Indonesian coffee export, implying the export creation effect. Therefore, inward and outward-looking strategies are necessary to further boost the export creation effect on Indonesian coffee.

Indonesia has an economic transformation. However, it tends to experience deindustrialization and development inclusivity challenges. This research examines the influence of industrialization and inclusivity to improve welfare in the short and long term. The analytical method is Autoregressive Distributed Lag, using province-level panel data from 2012–2021. Based on results, industrialization has not significantly affected welfare improvement in the short term. Inclusivity has no significant impact in the short term, but it has a negative direction. However, in the long term, industrialization and inclusivity positively and significantly increase welfare. This confirms that industrialization and inclusivity require time to create welfare.

In this new era of globalisation, all countries including Indonesia are targeting poverty alleviation to help people achieve welfare. Furthermore, this study empirically examines the impact of government spending, FDI, economic growth, and industrial growth on poverty. This research uses the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method. The data used is time series data from 1972 to 2021 obtained from the World Development Indicator website. The findings of the ARDL estimation show that government spending and industrial growth increase household income, both in the long-run and the short-run. Private digital currency is no longer limited to shadow banking issues but has also entered shadow central banking, putting Bank Indonesia to adopt the CBDC. This study aims to determine the effect of macroeconomic, accessibility, and demographic aspects on CBDC implementation, as well as the impact of publicity on changes in the behavior of economic actors in using CBDC in Indonesia. The results of the study show that GRDP, gini ratio, ICT, and bank accounts have an effect on CBDC. Publicity affects changes in the behavior of economic actors in increasing the conversion of fiat money to CBDC.

This study explored the vulnerability of fifty-two small-scale fisherfolks selected from six barangays near Laguna's Northern West Bay, Philippines.
