A composite system (CS) is an organic whole composed of multiple subsystems. It has the property of operating in a coordinated manner through the interconnection and interaction between its subsystems, which could be evaluated by the indicator of coordination degree of composite systems (CDoCS). However, there is currently a lack of quantitative methods for CDoCS and the CDoCS-based technology for composite system optimization. New power systems are at a critical stage of transition from theory to implementation. Against the backdrop of accelerating global energy transformation and technological revolution, shifting the energy system from “scale-oriented” to “quality-driven” is both an urgent need and a key focus for advancing the high-quality development of China’s new power systems. This study employs a four-dimensional analytical framework integrating “technology-elements-industry-green transition” to identify the main challenges existing in the new power systems currently, including constraints in key technologies, imbalances in factor allocation, difficulties in industrial coordination, and instability in power supply structure. In light of the rapid advancement of biomedical technologies and intensifying geopolitical competition over technological dominance, international cooperation in this field has garnered significant attention among scholars, policymakers, and industry leaders. This study employs comprehensive patent data spanning from 2002 to 2023 across the global biomedical landscape to systematically investigate the characteristics and evolution patterns of both global and Chinese biomedical inventions. Employing econometric analysis of patents and social network analysis, the research examines three key dimensions: patent output, technological pathways, and collaboration networks. The current literature on resilience shows a trend toward a dynamic process conceptualization, moving away from the previous trait-approach. However, the term “dynamic” is increasingly treated as a buzzword and is thereby oversimplified in the literature. The aim of this article is to develop a unified language pertaining to resilience as a dynamic process, so as to ensure progress in this field. First, we briefly introduce the traditional trait approach alongside the implicit assumption on which it is built. This dissertation formalizes and refines a new theory of ensemble coding: the Non-Selective Transfer Model. Within this theory, ensemble codes and subsequent summary judgments are the result of representations constructed over a subset of information that is encoded into working memory. The work begins with a brief review of current ideas present within the ensemble coding literature, followed by a set of formalized descriptions of ensemble coding theories that have been proposed. Seeing a need for more structured mentorship in library professional development, an internship supervisor created a reading guide for her interns at a mid-sized public university. The librarian and the first four interns who used the guide as part of their internship describe their experiences with this new reading program. Besides enabling the discovery of interesting articles and videos, we hope that the focus on professional development will encourage internship supervisors to include explicit mentorship in professional development and encourage interns to ask for more support in developing this crucial practice.

The act of coloring pages, is recognized for its therapeutic value and this research shows how amplifying the artistry of a practitioner with Alzheimer’s disease enhances understanding about the disease, improves relationships and adds value to an underrated art practice. My collaboration with a neighbor experiencing Alzheimer’s disease involved presenting her coloring pages as fine art in a gallery, increasing recognition of the practice as valuable for maintaining normalcy and serving as a model for other people with dementia (PWD) and their caregivers.
