Vision Zero (VZ) is a transportation policy adopted by major cities like Philadelphia that aims to reduce or eliminate traffic violence, primarily through improvements in the transportation infrastructure. VZ prioritizes engineering (over enforcement), community engagement, and perhaps most importantly, equity. In the battle for superiority among users of land-based travel modes in America, automobile drivers have benefited from arterial highways that speed traffic flows around and through urban enclaves to reach center city business districts and from a car culture that encourages dominant behavior behind the wheel. This thesis aims to explore how racial health disparities, underrepresentation in gynecology, and socioeconomic barriers contribute to adverse pregnancy outcomes among women of color in New York City. The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) has published the ASCA National Model as the theoretical framework for data-driven, comprehensive school counseling. School counselors are tasked to develop and implement a K-12 counseling program that supports students’ academic, social/emotional, and career development. Many states across the country have passed legislation that requires school districts to align themselves to the ASCA National Model, including Washington State where the Washington Legislature passed Substitute Senate Bill (SSB) 5030 on July 25, 2021. An Analysis Of Possession Outcomes Following Turnovers And Throw-Ups In Sub-Elite Gaelic Football, Kate Emma Timmons, Kieran Collins, Shane Mangan

This study investigated possessions following turnovers and throw-ups in sub-elite Gaelic football, an area only explored at elite level. A total of 1,735 possessions from 48 championship matches involving 67 teams from the 2023 and 2024 seasons were analysed. Binary logistic regression was employed to model the key predictors of successful possessions following turnovers. Turnovers won in contact significantly increased the likelihood of a score (p=.012), while possession duration between 31–90 seconds was associated with higher scoring rates (p < . 001). Although descriptive statistics indicated that more passes led to more scores, the regression analysis revealed possession sequences of 1-10 passes were more likely to lead to successful possessions (p = .004). The first action following a turnover significantly predicted possession success. Periods of 1-90 seconds ball out of play increased scoring odds (p < .001). The findings of the current study provide novel insights into transition play and possession effectiveness in sub-elite Gaelic football, with practical implications for coaching and analysis.

This essay discusses the welcome banquet held in February 1945 in honour of the newly appointed French diplomatic envoy to Ireland, Jean Rivière, hosted by Éamon de Valera at Iveagh House, the headquarters of the Irish Department of External Affairs. The banquet took place at a moment when ‘an intriguing but ambiguous privilege’ had been granted by Charles de Gaulle’s Provisional Government to Ireland as the only country permitted to retain its diplomatic representative to France in the post-liberation period. Linguistic research on how transgender speakers use speech traits commonly associated with gender, such as f0 and /s/, is still limited in scope. Past research has focused primarily on singular gender groups within the transgender community, particularly transmasculine speakers, leaving gaps in how speech differs among transgender speakers. Additionally, there has been little research on how transgender identity influences perception of gender in speech. Here, I use data from reading passages by fifteen university-age transgender speakers in New England to analyze variation in /s/ and f0 among transmasculine, transfeminine, nonbinary, and multigender speakers. Methods: This quality improved project was conducted at Littleton Regional Hospital, a level Ⅲ trauma center and critical access hospital. The PDSA cycle started on March 1 and ended May 10. This study explores the impact of sensory elements – specifically ambient scent and music – in theatrical lobbies on audience satisfaction and likelihood of returning. Two general surveys were distributed to gauge what audiences expect from lobby spaces, and what they describe as memorable experiences. Then, two experiments were conducted using a test/control group design during live performances in New Hampshire. Participants completed surveys assessing their perception of the lobby environment, satisfaction with the performance, and likelihood to return to or recommend the venue. This study examines the influence that fan commentary has on media framing in sports journalism, especially in times of intense rivalry. The rivalry chosen for this specific study was Marc Marquez-Valentino Rossi as seen in the MotoGP championship. This research discusses the cyclical nature between the interaction of fan and media while shaping popular narratives in sport. This project report has been completed to fulfill requirements of the Master of Applied Science of Cultural and Environmental Resource Management (MAS-CERM) at Central Washington University. The project models the cultural landscapes of the southern Salish Sea. These landscapes include anthropogenic prairies, travel routes (trails and roads), salmon runs, and archaeological sites. This study maps the historic boundaries of prairies and recent data sets for key plant species. The locations of prairies and indicator species are overlaid with ethnohistoric settlements, archaeological site locations, and trail systems. The relationship between religion, society, and individual behaviour has been a subject of extensive inquiry, drawing upon a rich collection of historical and contemporary perspectives. The scientific study of religion at the social level has often found its roots in the foundational work of Durkheim (Durkheim, 1912), who posited that religion serves as a catalyst for social order and the promotion of prosocial behaviour.
