A Comprehensive Parcel-Level Dataset On Farmland Assessment: Addressing Grid-Cell Data Bias Estimation, Wai Yan Siu, Man Li, Arthur J. Caplan

Grid-cell data are increasingly used in research due to the growing availability and accessibility of remote sensing products. However, grid-cell data often fails to represent the actual decision-making unit, leading to biased estimates in socio-economic analysis. To this end, this paper presents a comprehensive parcel-level dataset for Salt Lake County, Utah, spanning from 2008 to 2018. This dataset combines detailed spatial and temporal data on land ownership, land use, and preferential farmland tax assessments under the Greenbelt program. BACKGROUND: The increasing prevalence of obesity has raised concerns about its impact on surgical outcomes and healthcare costs. This study evaluates the influence of Body Mass Index (BMI) on intraoperative costs and operative times during open Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion (TLIF) procedures using a Time-Driven Activity-Based Costing (TDABC) approach.

METHODS: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 279 patients who underwent TLIF between 2019 and 2022. Patients were categorized into 5 BMI cohorts: healthy weight (BMI 18.5-24.99), overweight (BMI 25.0-29.99), Class I obese (BMI 30.0-34.99), Class II obese (BMI 35.0-39.99), and Class III obese (BMI >40). In FY2024, the Commonwealth allocated $3,213,465 to the CMC Grant Program, supplemented by $149,674 carried over from FY2023, for a total of $3,363,139. Of the total funding, $2,542,100 (76%) was awarded to Centers in grants and technical assistance, with Centers leveraging these funds to secure an additional $2,199,813 from private foundations and other state, local, and federal sponsors. These grants supported Centers’ participation in CMC Grant Program related statewide programs, including the Housing Mediation Program (HMP), Reentry Mediation Program (ReMAp), Youth Conflict Resolution and Restorative Practices Program (Youth Program), and DEI organizational capacity-building initiatives. Current literature shows that gifted students' experiences often differ from nongifted peers. Similarly, research shows that rural students’ experiences are unique compared to nonrural peers. This study hopes to address the gap in literature on experiences of students at the intersection of giftedness and rurality with the question: How do rural, gifted students in Appalachian Kentucky experience and perceive K-12 schooling? Rural, gifted students exist in the overlap between two unique groups. This study examines the politics of representation of the “Rumah Aspirasi Rakyat Aam Amarulloh” in representing the people’s aspirations in Cilegon City. This Aspiration House is an intermediary space between constituents and legislators, facilitating communication and conveying public aspiration. The research method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and direct observation of activities at the Aspiration House. The research results show that around 80% of the aspirations collected have been responsively followed by the relevant legislator, Aam Amarulloh. On November 8, 1994 Oregon became the first state in the nation to pass legislation allowing terminally ill patients to end their own lives with the assistance of a physician. Ballot Measure 16, the Death with Dignity Act, removes criminal penalties for assisting a terminally ill suicide, but does not allow lethal injection. In August 1995, U.S. District Judge Michael Hogan ruled the Death with Dignity Act violates the equal protection clause ofthe 14th Amendment. The ruling is being appealed. The Hatchie River in western Tennessee is one of the few remaining free-flowing streams in the Gulf Coastal Plain. Although there have been no major modifications of the main channel, many of its tributaries have been channelized during the past few decades. Channelization has significantly reduced flooding in the upper sections of the watershed. The straightened and hydrologically more efficient channels, however, speed the flow of water that scours the channel bed. Proponents conclude it may produce serious worldwide problems in the near future, such as rising sea levels, geographic shifts in farming and forest regions, and changes in agricultural yields, water resources, and wetlands. Conversely, skeptics imply that any warming due to proposed increases in greenhouse gases is undetectable and unpredictable among the natural variations in long-term atmospheric temperatures.

By contrasting Lévy flight and random walk strategies in simulated agents, we discern the effect of movement behavior on the total duration of social interactions. Our agent-based simulation results approximate empirically observed Dunbar social circle formation using simple behavioral rules of interaction and compatibility to mimic exogenous attribute-based friendship formation. We simulate the complexities of social interactions among agents with unique attributes and a time budget for social engagement over a one-year period. The study explored the inter-connected relationship among stakeholders within the humanitarian eco-system and its effects on protection measures and durable solutions for the conflict-induced displacement crisis.
