This report outlines the background and initial development stage of The Wellbeing Program Guide (wellbeingguide.acer.org), a comprehensive national resource aimed at supporting schools in selecting and implementing wellbeing programs that meet diverse contexts and student needs. Wellbeing is considered in its broadest sense, to include evidence-based mental health, alcohol and other drug, and suicide prevention programs, along with social and emotional learning. Developed collaboratively by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) and Department of Health Tasmania, with advice from education and industry stakeholders, the Guide prioritised the needs of school communities in Tasmania, but also includes programs serving other …

Over the past several years, there has been a significant increase in the number of states allowing concealed weapons carry without a permit (constitutional carry), and an increase in the number of states that have enacted stand-your-ground laws. The purpose of the present study is to determine if the enactment of constitutional carry and stand-your-ground laws have had any statistically significant effects on incidents of defensive firearm use. Surface runoff significantly contributes to environmental hazards such as floods in Indonesia, including in Borobudur District. Based on watershed delineation, the administrative area of Borobudur District is predominantly located within the Sileng Subwatershed. The rehabilitation zones managed by PT Adaro Indonesia are located in several specific areas within this subwatershed. This study utilizes the SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) model integrated with GIS (Geographic Information System) to simulate surface runoff quantitaively in the Sileng subwatershed, part of the Progo watershed in Central Java Province. Widespread implementation of energy efficiency is a key greenhouse gas emissions mitigation measure, but rebound can ‘‘take back’’ energy savings. However, the absence of solid analytical foundations hinders empirical determination of rebound magnitudes. In Part I, we developed foundations of a rigorous, analytical, consumer-sided rebound framework that is approachable for both energy analysts and economists. In this paper (Part II), we develop energy, expenditure, and consumption planes, a novel, mutually consistent, and numerically precise way to visualize and illustrate rebound. Indigenous patients come from different belief backgrounds that shape their understanding of death and health practices. In the political landscape of modern America, few would disagree that people on either end of the political spectrum exhibit differences in priorities and values. Since the 1970s, polarization between left and right-leaning individuals and decision-makers regarding environmental matters has grown significantly.¹ For example, a 2023 Gallup Poll found that 78% of liberals favored prioritizing the environment over economic concerns, compared to just 20% of conservatives - representing the largest partisan gap since Gallup began including the question in their poll in 1984.²

Autistic people—particularly adults—experience high rates of co-occurring mental health problems and often report unmet service needs. Although several barriers to accessing quality care are well-documented, the broader landscape of autism-specific services across the lifespan remains under-researched. This two-part thesis aimed to address this gap by examining the availability of autism-specific services, as well as patterns in service utilization and associated costs, among autistic children and adults. The first study employed a systematic web-scraping protocol and data extraction procedure to identify and characterize autism specialty services offered by U.S. academic medical centers. This thesis advocates the establishment of an official US government diplomatic policy, and recommends specific means for its implementation. By combining a written narrative with a unique and highly detailed Geographic Information System (GIS,) this thesis argues that securing the Philippines archipelago from further Chinese annexations is a US strategic imperative. To that end, US military forces and capabilities- particularly those of the US Marine Corps (USMC)- would be integrated into the revamped defense of the Philippines.

Estimating How Much Children Work: Questionnaires Versus Time Use Diaries, Juana Lamote De Grignon Pérez, Wenbin Wang, Tanay Kasyap, Matthew Henglong Luo, Jialu Tang

Current estimates of child labour often rely on questions such as, “How many hours did you work last week?” While biases in adult self-reports are well-documented in high-income countries, there is limited evidence on the accuracy of children’s responses in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Using data from nine LMICs, including China and India, this paper shows that time diaries report more than twice as many work hours as standard questionnaires. This discrepancy suggests that current estimates may significantly understate child labour. Moreover, certain forms of work—such as collecting water or firewood—appear to contribute to these measurement gaps.

[Purpose/significance] This study addresses the issue of inadequate perception of entity boundaries in traditional character-level modeling-based named entity recognition models by integrating syntax information containing entity boundary features into the task using a multi-head graph attention network with dense connections. This integration enhances the effectiveness of named entity recognition.

[Method/process] This study proposes a Syntax-enhanced Boundary-aware Named Entity Recognition Model (SynBNER), which utilizes BERT for text semantic representation and integrates syntax information using a dense-connected graph attention network. This integration incorporates implicit entity boundary information from syntax information into word representations, thereby enhancing the model's entity boundary perception capability.

This dissertation theorizes and quantifies judicial ambition. Article III judges in the United States judiciary are nominated by a president, confirmed by the Senate, and may hold their seat for the remainder of their lifetime. This is a distinct process from other political actors, like congresspeople, presidents, elected judges, and local officials, who are beholden to voters. This dissertation posits that individuals who are high in judicial ambition should consciously choose career paths and interact in networks which will enable them to achieve their goal. The Tur Nout Effect: Challenging The Median Voter Theorem, George Thomas Rogers

The classical Median Voter Theorem (MVT) predicts that, in a two-party system with majority rule, candidates will converge toward the ideological center to capture the median voter. This logic, grounded in spatial models of political competition, assumes full voter participation and fails to account for the growing ideological polarization in modern democracies. This thesis reevaluates the MVT by incorporating probabilistic turnout into a utility-based model of voter behavior. It theorizes that turnout is shaped not only by ideological proximity but also by expressive motivations, including both strong affinity and strong aversion to candidates. 江門市是廣東省老齡化程度較高的城市。江門市政府於2015年通過購買服務，啟動江門市養老助殘平安通項目，該項目運用資訊科技，為有困難的長者群體提供各類服務，以幫助他們居家安老。本次研究旨在瞭解該項目的成效，和探索服務使用長者的感受。

本研究利用深度訪談 (indepth-interview) 的方法，於2024年1月訪問了40名年齡60歲以上的平安通服務使用者，瞭解他們使用平安通服務的原因、情況、感受和建議。

研究發現，長者申請平安通的原因主要是親人和社區人士介紹、求安心、煤氣優惠和覺得平安通服務有用。長者使用的服務種類主要包括：訂購煤氣、維修家電設備、天氣提醒、電話問候、聘請保姆、打掃清潔、預約叫車、預防緊急事故、緊急需要和落樓服務。

研究發現一些長者對平安通設備的使用不熟悉，認為設備不方便攜帶，以及使用有困難。亦有長者表示智慧AI監測裝置作用不大。在平安通服務評價方面，一些長者認為平安通提供的居家安老服務有助於長者居家養老，但另一些則認為提供的服務存在問題，例如轉介服務質量參差不齊，服務缺乏個性化設計。一些長者較少使用平安通服務，主要原因是不想麻煩他人、身體狀況較好而不需要和不瞭解平安通新增服務。長者希望從幾方面改進平安通，包括降低收費、完善資源轉介服務、優化和增加日常協助及居家養老服務，以及改善居家養老環境。

本研究提出幾方面點建議以改善和完善平安通項目：（1）優化平安通設備及手錶服務、（2）宣傳平安通的使用方法及服務、（3）完善長者資訊並定製服務、（4）增加服務站點和擴大服務覆蓋面、（5）降低轉介服務收費並提高質量、（6）改善居家養老環境及建設長者活動場所。

การศึกษาการใช้ปุ๋ยและสารเคมีกำจัดศัตรูพืชของสนามกอล์ฟโดยการสัมภาษณ์ผู้ดูแลสนามพบว่า สนามกอล์ฟในส่วนงานราชการ มีการใช้ปุ๋ยอินทรีย์เพื่อลดค่าใช้จ่ายในการดูแลสนาม ส่วนใน สนามกอล์ฟของเอกชนที่ต้องการเน้นให้เห็นความสวยงามของสนามหญ้าส่วนมากมีการนำปุ๋ยเคมีซึ่งมีราคาแพงมาใช้ โดยเน้นการใช้ที่กรีนเป็นหลักเนื่องจากเป็นจุดสำคัญที่สุดของสนามกอล์ฟ การเลือกประเภทของปุ๋ยเคมีมีความแตกต่างกันไปตามพื้นที่ของสนาม ฤดูกาล และประเภทของหญ้า ส่วนวิธีการกำจัดศัตรูพืชที่สนามกอล์ฟส่วนใหญ่นำมาใช้ คือ การใช้สารเคมี ซึ่งจะใช้เฉพาะจุดที่มีความสำคัญ เช่น กรีน ส่วนในบริเวณอื่นๆจะให้ความสำคัญน้อยลงเช่น แฟร์เวย์ ราฟ การใช้สารเคมีกำจัดศัตรูพืชในสนามกอล์ฟ มีแนวการใช้แยกเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ เพื่อป้องกันศัตรูพืช และเพื่อกำจัดศัตรูพืชเมื่อเกิดการระบาดขึ้นแล้ว นอกจากนี้ยังได้มีการนำวิธีทางชีวภาพเช้ามาใช้สำหรับกำจัดแมลงในสนามหญ้า แนวทางการจัดการการใช้ ปุ๋ยและสารกำจัดศัตรูพืชของสนามกอล์ฟ ได้แก่ การใช้ปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ทั้งนี้เพื่อทำให้ดินอยู่ในสภาพดีเหมาะกับการเจริญของจุลินทรีย์ สัตว์ในดิน พร้อมทั้งการทำเกษตรกรรม ซึ่งจะช่วยปรับระบบนิเวศภายในสนามทำให้ศัตรูพืชลดลง การใช้หญ้าพันธุ์พื้นเมือง การใช้สารเคมีเฉพาะพื้นที่ประกอบกับความเชี่ยวชาญของผู้ดูแลสนามจะทำให้ปริมาณสารเคมีที่ใช้ลดลง การกำจัดศัตรูพืชแบบธรรมชาติกิเป็นอิกวิธีหนึ่งซึ่งจะช่วยลด การใช้สารเคมีและค่าใช้จ่ายการดูแลสนามให้ลดลง

การสร้างคู่มือ เรื่อง การมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชน สำหรับนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น (The Development Of Soild Waste Management Participation Manual For Lower Secondary Education Students), ระเบียบ ภูผา

การศึกษาครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างคู่มือ เรื่อง การมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชน สำหรับนักเรียน ระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น และศึกษาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ความตระหนัก พฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชน และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความรู้ที่ได้รับกับพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชนของนักเรียน วิธีการดำเนินการวิจัยมี 3 ขั้นตอน คือ ขั้นตอนที่ 1 การสร้างคู่มีอ เรื่อง การมีส่วนร่วมจัดการ ขยะชุมชน ประกอบด้วยความคิดรวบยอด จุดประสงค์การเรียนรู้ การกำหนดรูปเล่ม และนำไปให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญตรวจสอบและประเมิน พร้อมทั้งปรับปรุงแก้ไข ขั้นตอนที่ 2 การพัฒนาคุณภาพของคู่มือโดยทดลอง 2 ครั้ง ครั้งที่ 1 จำนวน 3 คน และ 30 คน ตามลำดับ ขั้นตอนที่ 3 การนำคู่มือไปใช้จริงกับกลุ่มตัวอย่าง การสุ่มตัวอย่างใช้วิธีการสุ่มหลายขั้นตอน คือ เลือกโรงเรียนแบบเจาะจง (Purposive Sampling) โรงเรียน วัดเขมาภิรตาราม แล้วสุ่มห้องเรียนจากชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 จำนวน 7 ห้องเรียน จำนวน 50 คน ทำการทดลองวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน และประเมินค่าความตระหนักและพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชนก่อนและหลังการทดลอง (The Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design) และ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ ค่าสถิติร้อยละ มัชฌิมเลขคณิต เบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สถิติ t-test และสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า เมื่อเปรียบเทียบคะแนนเฉลี่ยผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ค่าความตระหนัก และ พฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชนของนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้นหลังการอ่านคู่มือ มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ค่าความตระหนัก และพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมสูงกว่า ก่อนการอ่าน คู่มืออย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ และพบว่าความรู้และพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชนของนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้นไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ
