In this paper we study the neoclassical growth model with idiosyncratic income risk and aggregate risk in which risk sharing is endogenously constrained by one sided limited commitment. Households can trade a full set of contingent claims that pay off depending on both idiosyncratic and aggregate risk, but limited commitment rules out that households sell these assets short. The model results, under suitable restrictions of the parameters of the model, in partial consumption insurance in equilibrium. With log-utility and idiosyncratic income shocks taking two values one of which is zero (e.g., employment and unemployment) we show that the equilibrium can …

How much do contracting frictions between global firms and their suppliers impact country welfare and trade? We answer this by developing a model of global sourcing under partial contractibility, where firm-supplier relationships are exposed to a bilateral holdup problem. Sourcing decisions aggregate into a gravity equation for trade flows by organizational mode (intrafirm vs. arm’s length), which we take to structural estimation. We can then evaluate welfare changes with an extended Arkolakis, Costinot and Rodriguez-Clare (2012) formula that incorporates these contracting frictions. Our counterfactual analysis reveals a sizeable average country welfare gain of 9.2% from eliminating contracting frictions in global …

In this comparative and situational analysis, we examine how nation-states use skilling as a technique of preparedness during crisis moments. By analysing two strategically selected country cases, Singapore and Sweden, during a critical phase of a global pandemic, we identify three techniques: stockpiling, forecasting, and protecting skills, and how these were enacted as a means to perform preparedness. Stockpiling skills was observed to take place as a rapid response; forecasting skills was a technique enacted with a view on the longer-term horizon and protecting skills was mobilised as a short-term future technique, where boundaries were assembled around skilling. Reservoirs are developed to store water in reserve for future use. But once built, reservoir sites inevitably hold more than just water, often serving as a key habitat for a range of species. This paper examines how one such animal has transformed water storage facilities and nearby landscapes into contested ground in urbanising areas of Texas, USA. Living around the reservoirs, feral hogs complicate the process of urbanisation by degrading the stockpiled water and infrastructure at the storage sites themselves and by damaging private property throughout the surrounding landscape. Diaspora By Another Name: The Making Of Refugees In Cold War China, Jiaqi M. Liu, Clare Xiaoqian Wan

By examining China’s refugee policies from 1949 to 1982, this article demonstrates how the Chinese state redefined “return” and “refugee” to serve shifting political objectives. While China is often perceived as a source, rather than a host, of asylum seekers, it hosted over 320,000 displaced migrants—primarily ethnic Chinese from Southeast Asia—during the Cold War. Through a systematic discourse analysis of 382 People’s Daily articles, we identify four state narratives—diaspora, diplomatic tool, ideological sanctuary, and legal duty—that structured how China labeled displaced migrants, interpreted their sentiments, and determined their settlement. By placing the gaze upon National Service in the Singapore Armed Forces as a rite of passage into manhood, this work uses representations of the military in popular culture and souvenirs/ephemera to elucidate how structures of feeling are calibrated as masculinity the state wants its citizenry to internalize. การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประสิทธิภาพในการดูดซับตะกั่วและแคดเมียมจากน้ำเสีย โดยใช้กากสาคูเป็นวัสดุดูดซับ โดยศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการดูดซับโลหะหนักได้แก่ ขนาดอนุภาคของวัสดุดูดซับระดับพีเอชของน้ำเสีย ระยะเวลาที่การดูดซับเข้าสู่สมดุล และอุณหภูมิของน้ำเสีย ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ความสามารถในการดูดซับโลหะหนักเพิ่มขึ้นเมื่อขนาดอนุภาคของวัสดุดูดซับลดลง ระดับพีเอชของน้ำเสีย ระยะเวลาที่การดูดซับเข้าสู่สมดุล และอุณหภูมิของน้ำเสียที่เหมาะสมต่อการดูดซับตะกั่วด้วยกากสาคูคือ 4.0 (พีเอช) 24 (ชั่วโมง) และอุณหภูมิห้อง (องศาเซลเชียส) ตามลำดับสำหรับแคดเมียมคือ 6.0 (พีเอช) 12 (ชั่วโมง) และอุณหภูมิห้อง (องศาเซลเชียส) ตามลำดับ เมื่อนำสภาวะที่เหมาะสมจากการวิจัยมาหาค่าความสามารถสูงสุดในการดูดขับตะกั่ว และแคดเมียมด้วยวิธีแบบถังแช่และแบบต่อเนื่องโดยใช้สมการ ไอโซเทอร์มของฟรุนดลิช พบว่ากากสาคูดูดซับตะกั่วและแคดเมียมได้สูงสุดเท่ากับ 0.95, 1.36, 1.92 และ 6.98 มิลลิกรัมต่อกรัม ตามลำดับ

โครงการสำรวจความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพของสังคมพืช บริเวณสถานีวิจัยสิงแวดล้อมสะแกราช จังหวัดนครราชสีมา ได้ทำการศึกษารายละเอียดของความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพของสังคมพืชในปาดิบแล้ง และปาเต็งรัง ด้วยข้อมูลทุติยภูมิ เช่น รายงานการวิจัยอื่น ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง และการสำรวจ การรวบรวม และ เก็บข้อมูลภาคสนาม เพื่อนำมาซึ่งการวิเคราะห์ดรรชนีความหลากหลายทางสถิติด้วยระบบคอมพิวเตอร์และ เปรียบเทียบข้อมูลกับพื้นที่ศึกษาอื่นที่มีความสำคัญและ/หรือพื้นที่คุ้มครองอื่น ๆ การศึกษาครั้งนี้พบว่า สถานี วิจัยสิ่งแวดล้อมสะแกราช หรือแหล่งสงวนชีวมณฑล ประกอบด้วยความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพมากมาย ควรที่จะได้รับการอนุรักษ์พื้นที่ศึกษาตั้งอยู่ในเขตอำเภอวังนำเขียว จังหวัดนครราชสีมา มีเนื้อที่ประมาณ 80 ตารางกิโลเมตร โดยมีสภาพป่าธรรมชาติที่มีลักษณะเด่นคงอยู่ในสภาพดีและสมบูรณ์ ซึ่งผลการศึกษาพบว่า พื้นที่ป่าดิบแล้งมีความหนาแน่นเท่ากับ 744 ต้นต่อเฮกแตร์ มีชนิดพันธุ์ไม้ 136 ชนิด (สำหรับไม้ที่มีขนาด เส้นผ่าศูนย์กลางระดับเพียงอกตั้งแต่ 10 เซนติเมตรขึ้นไป) โดยพบตะเคียนหินมีความหนาแน่นมากที่สุด และ พบกระเบากลักมีความถี่สูงหรือมีการกระจายตัวโดยทั่วพื้นที่ และไทรมีความเด่นสูงสุด และหากพิจารณาค่าดรรชนีความสำคัญของไม้ในป่าดิบแล้งพบว่า กระเบากลัก กัดลิ้น และตะเคียนหินเป็นพันธุ์ไม้ที่มีความ สำคัญที่สุดที่จะทำให้ระบบนิเวศของป่าดิบแล้งดีขึ้นหรือกล่าวไล้ว่าเป็นพันธุ์ไม้ที่เด่น และมีความสำคัญมาก สำหรับพื้นที่ป่าเต็งรังพบว่า มีความหนาแน่น 563 ต้นต่อเฮกแตร์มีจำนวนชนิดพันธุ์ไม้ 83 ชนิด (สำหรับไม้ ที่มีขนาดเส้นผ่าศูนย์กลางระดับเพียงอกตั้งแต่ 10 เซนติเมตรขึ้นไป) โดยพบว่า ต้นเต็งและรังมีความหนาแน่นสูงสุด ส่วนประดู่มีการกระจายตัวโดยทั่วพื้นที่ และต้นสองสลึงมีความเด่นในพื้นที่ป่าเต็งรัง ซึ่งแสดงให้เห็นว่าพันธุ์ไม้ ที่มีความเด่น และสำคัญในพื้นที่ปาเต็งรัง ได้แก่ ล้นเต็ง รัง และประดู่ สำหรับความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ พิจารณาค่าดรรชนีโดย Shonnon-Weaver index (H) พบว่า ป่าดิบแล้งมีค่าเท่ากับ 5.322 ป่าเต็งรังมีค่า เท่ากับ 4.321 ซึ่งการศึกษาครั้งนี้สำรวจพบชนิดพันธุ์ไม้ในป่าดิบแล้งและป่าเต็งรัง รวมทั้งสิ้น 357 ชนิด (สำหรับไม้ทุกขนาด) โดยจำแนกเป็นพันธุ์ไม้ในป่าดิบแล้ง 66 วงศ์ 233 ชนิด ป่าเต็งรัง 53 วงศ์ 124 ชนิดเป็น ชนิดพันธุ์ไม้หวงห้ามธรรมดา 97 ชนิด และชนิดพันธุ์ไม้หวงห้ามพิเศษ …

บทความนี้ชี้ให้เห็นถึงการมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมในโครงการพัฒนาว่า ปัจจุบัน แม้ประเทศไทยมีกฎหมายที่ให้สิทธิประชาชนเข้าถึงข้อมูลได้ แต่ก็ยังมีอุปสรรคที่ทำให้ประชาชนไม่สามารถ เข้าถึงข้อมูลได้ รวมถึงข้อจำกัดทางด้านกฎหมายจึงทำให้ประชาชนมีส่วนร่วมได้ในโครงการศึกษาผลกระทบสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยร่วมรับรู้ข้อมูล ร่วมให้ข้อคิดเห็น หรือร่วมให้คำปรึกษาเท่านั้น ส่วนการตรวจสอบข้อมูล เพื่อนำไปสู่กระบวนการตัดสินใจร่วมกันนั้นจำเป็นต้องปรับปรุงกลไกที่มีอยู่เพื่อเสริมสร้างกระบวนการมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนให้เกิดขึ้นอย่างแท้จริง

การศึกษาการใช้ปุ๋ยและสารเคมีกำจัดศัตรูพืชของสนามกอล์ฟโดยการสัมภาษณ์ผู้ดูแลสนามพบว่า สนามกอล์ฟในส่วนงานราชการ มีการใช้ปุ๋ยอินทรีย์เพื่อลดค่าใช้จ่ายในการดูแลสนาม ส่วนใน สนามกอล์ฟของเอกชนที่ต้องการเน้นให้เห็นความสวยงามของสนามหญ้าส่วนมากมีการนำปุ๋ยเคมีซึ่งมีราคาแพงมาใช้ โดยเน้นการใช้ที่กรีนเป็นหลักเนื่องจากเป็นจุดสำคัญที่สุดของสนามกอล์ฟ การเลือกประเภทของปุ๋ยเคมีมีความแตกต่างกันไปตามพื้นที่ของสนาม ฤดูกาล และประเภทของหญ้า ส่วนวิธีการกำจัดศัตรูพืชที่สนามกอล์ฟส่วนใหญ่นำมาใช้ คือ การใช้สารเคมี ซึ่งจะใช้เฉพาะจุดที่มีความสำคัญ เช่น กรีน ส่วนในบริเวณอื่นๆจะให้ความสำคัญน้อยลงเช่น แฟร์เวย์ ราฟ การใช้สารเคมีกำจัดศัตรูพืชในสนามกอล์ฟ มีแนวการใช้แยกเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ เพื่อป้องกันศัตรูพืช และเพื่อกำจัดศัตรูพืชเมื่อเกิดการระบาดขึ้นแล้ว นอกจากนี้ยังได้มีการนำวิธีทางชีวภาพเช้ามาใช้สำหรับกำจัดแมลงในสนามหญ้า แนวทางการจัดการการใช้ ปุ๋ยและสารกำจัดศัตรูพืชของสนามกอล์ฟ ได้แก่ การใช้ปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ทั้งนี้เพื่อทำให้ดินอยู่ในสภาพดีเหมาะกับการเจริญของจุลินทรีย์ สัตว์ในดิน พร้อมทั้งการทำเกษตรกรรม ซึ่งจะช่วยปรับระบบนิเวศภายในสนามทำให้ศัตรูพืชลดลง การใช้หญ้าพันธุ์พื้นเมือง การใช้สารเคมีเฉพาะพื้นที่ประกอบกับความเชี่ยวชาญของผู้ดูแลสนามจะทำให้ปริมาณสารเคมีที่ใช้ลดลง การกำจัดศัตรูพืชแบบธรรมชาติกิเป็นอิกวิธีหนึ่งซึ่งจะช่วยลด การใช้สารเคมีและค่าใช้จ่ายการดูแลสนามให้ลดลง

การสร้างคู่มือ เรื่อง การมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชน สำหรับนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น (The Development Of Soild Waste Management Participation Manual For Lower Secondary Education Students), ระเบียบ ภูผา

การศึกษาครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างคู่มือ เรื่อง การมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชน สำหรับนักเรียน ระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น และศึกษาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ความตระหนัก พฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชน และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความรู้ที่ได้รับกับพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชนของนักเรียน วิธีการดำเนินการวิจัยมี 3 ขั้นตอน คือ ขั้นตอนที่ 1 การสร้างคู่มีอ เรื่อง การมีส่วนร่วมจัดการ ขยะชุมชน ประกอบด้วยความคิดรวบยอด จุดประสงค์การเรียนรู้ การกำหนดรูปเล่ม และนำไปให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญตรวจสอบและประเมิน พร้อมทั้งปรับปรุงแก้ไข ขั้นตอนที่ 2 การพัฒนาคุณภาพของคู่มือโดยทดลอง 2 ครั้ง ครั้งที่ 1 จำนวน 3 คน และ 30 คน ตามลำดับ ขั้นตอนที่ 3 การนำคู่มือไปใช้จริงกับกลุ่มตัวอย่าง การสุ่มตัวอย่างใช้วิธีการสุ่มหลายขั้นตอน คือ เลือกโรงเรียนแบบเจาะจง (Purposive Sampling) โรงเรียน วัดเขมาภิรตาราม แล้วสุ่มห้องเรียนจากชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 จำนวน 7 ห้องเรียน จำนวน 50 คน ทำการทดลองวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน และประเมินค่าความตระหนักและพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชนก่อนและหลังการทดลอง (The Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design) และ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ ค่าสถิติร้อยละ มัชฌิมเลขคณิต เบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สถิติ t-test และสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า เมื่อเปรียบเทียบคะแนนเฉลี่ยผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ค่าความตระหนัก และ พฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชนของนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้นหลังการอ่านคู่มือ มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ค่าความตระหนัก และพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมสูงกว่า ก่อนการอ่าน คู่มืออย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ และพบว่าความรู้และพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชนของนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้นไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ

Abstract. The Draa Oasis in southeastern Morocco is experiencing severe water scarcity, driven by climate change and intensified by the expansion of watermelon agribusiness and desert tourism. This article explores how external investors, empowered by national agricultural policies, have disrupted traditional water governance systems rooted in collective management.
