Aeroponically grown potatoes offer higher yields and year-round production but often face delayed market entry due to high setup costs, technical barriers, and logistical challenges. A delay-based mathematical model has been newly proposed in this study to analyze the dynamics of demand, supply, and pricing for aeroponically grown products. The model’s existence, stability, and sensitivity have been investigated analytically, and numerical simulations have been carried out using the Runge-Kutta 4th order method with the dde23 solver. This paper examines existing global frameworks, such as the Environmental Performance Index (EPI), Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and emerging tools like PRISM and JUSTICE Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs). Short electoral cycles discourage long-term investments in mitigation, while institutional inertia and political polarization stall responsive policymaking. Interest group influence further weakens reform efforts. Real-world recognition requires our memory system to accommodate perceptual changes that occur after encoding; for example, eyewitnesses must recognize perpetrators across changes in appearance. However, it is not clear how this flexible recognition ability can be improved: Standard encoding strategies not only tend to be ineffective,but can in fact be detrimental for recognizing people across appearance changes. Given the effectiveness of visual imagery in creating and modifying memory representations, we examined whether counterfactual visual imagery could be used to manipulate flexible recognition by simulating an increase in encoding-retrieval similarity. This study investigates the relationship between market-economic decentralization and governance within the Hargeisa Local Government in Somaliland. Market-economic decentralization, influenced by neoliberal principles, involves transferring decision-making authority to local levels to stimulate private sector engagement and economic efficiency. Despite comprehensive decentralization reforms initiated in 2001, Hargeisa continues to confront significant governance challenges, including institutional weaknesses, fiscal mismanagement, and corruption. Employing a mixed-methods approach, this research integrates quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with 269 local officials to assess the impact of decentralization on key governance indicators: accountability, transparency, and e-governance. Development planning ideally requires accurate information to translate distant solutions, where actions and impacts are separated by significant delays. However, the attention theory suggests that the attention of planners is constrained by familiarity bias, shaped by organizational procedures and communication channels. This study argues that planners are less likely to prioritize distant solutions due to a stronger sense of perceived self-efficacy. Even when presented with favorable information, decision-makers tend to rely on heuristics that filter out unfamiliar information. Exploring The Relationship Between Quality Audits Performance Metrics And Compliance Within Healthcare Quality Management Systems, Abdulrahman Abdullah Alrahmani

This research examines the complex interconnections for quality audits, performance measurements, and compliance rates inside a healthcare quality management system by analyzing data coming from 500 patients across several departments within a single hospital. The study adopts a quantitative methodology, including diverse healthcare quality metrics such as patient satisfaction, infection rates, readmission rates, and medical mistakes. Statistical analysis indicated a robust positive connection (r = 0.808, p < 0.05) between quality audit scores, and performance measures, indicating, that elevated audit scores strongly predicted superior hospital performance. The association between compliance rates, and performance measurements used to be poor (r = 0.004, p > 0.05), indicating a more intricate interaction within the quality management system analysis for departments including Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, and General Medicine revealed comparable trends, alongside correlation values between 0.77, and 0.83. The Protected Areas (PAs) in Ghana play a critical role in preserving the abundant biodiversity of the West Africa Green Belt. But recent changes in policies and regulations have facilitated logging and mining activities, which have accelerated forest disturbances. While there is a consensus that PAs are undergoing destructive change, the extent, rate, and locations of forest disturbances are undocumented. In this study, we applied the fusion near real-time (FNRT) algorithm that utilizes Landsat, Sentinel-1, and Sentinel-2 data and sampling to monitor forests in the PAs of Ghana. Climate disasters pose fiscal challenges for local governments by increasing recovery costs and demand for property tax relief. Homeowners with or without property damage face tax burdens that may not match changes to their property value. This study examines the impact of Hurricane Sandy on property values and tax assessments in New York City. Using a difference-in-differences approach and comprehensive property-level data, we find that (1) inundated properties faced greater tax burdens due to limited declines in taxable value; (2) unaffected properties in flood zones saw tax burden increases due to declining market values and unchanged taxable values; and (3) …

This paper examines how different generations in Indonesia perceive and respond to government data breaches, a recurring phenomenon that undermines trust in state-led digital governance. Using a mixed-methods design, it draws on interviews with civil society organisations, focus groups, and a survey of 1,081 respondents across Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z. Findings show that distrust in the government’s ability to protect personal data is widespread, but generationally stratified. Baby Boomers and Generation X largely treat breaches as bureaucratic inevitabilities, exhibiting high resignation and minimal engagement.
