He congratulated the graduates on their achievements and reflected on the importance of self-awareness, social responsibility, and the pursuit of a meaningful life. The address emphasized IVS’s enduring vision of nurturing good human beings and creative leaders dedicated to positive social change.

Pakistan’s growth experience over the past sixty years is both impressive and disappointing. It is impressive because rapid growth rate has resulted in a quadrupling of per capita incomes and reduction in poverty levels by one half despite fairly high population growth. Structural changes have transformed a predominantly agrarian economy to a more diversified production structure. Manufactures account for 80 percent of the country’s exports. But there is a sense of disappointment too. Social indicators are among the worst in developing countries. Pakistan ranks 134th among 177 countries in Human Development Index. Intimate partner violence (IPV) is an ongoing social problem across nationalities, cultures, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, and genders. Historically, research into IPV has focused on the heterosexual female victim and male perpetrator paradigm, including identifying the root causes of this phenomenon and appropriate treatment models. There is a distinct gap in the current literature addressing how therapists in the psychological community approach working with heterosexual male and same-sex victims of IPV, beginning with case conceptualization. Land use and land cover (LULC) changes significantly shape urban environments and directly impact ecological and socioeconomic systems. This study aims to explore these interconnections by employing the Cellular Automata–Markov (CA–Markov) model to assess and predict LULC dynamics in Arkansas. Historical LULC datasets from 2001 to 2021, obtained from the National Land Cover Database, were simplified from 11 into 5 classes to facilitate analysis and effectively map transitions. The model was validated by predicting LULC for 2016 and 2021 and comparing the predictions with the real maps, achieving an overall accuracy of approximately 91.9%, using model validation metrics, including precision, …

The current study was administered in order to examine Oklahoman social workers’ perception of collaborating with police officers to foster community trust. The goal was to determine whether the collaboration amongst social and police officer fostered trust when collaborating during services calls. The theory of planned behavior and policing (TPBP) studied by Ishoy and giving credit to Ajzen’s were the foundational theory used to support this study. Collaboration among social workers and police officers can foster community trust and benefit both parties. Such collaboration could also lead to joint training and education, as well as alleviating public fears and misconceptions. …

This Doctor of Nursing Practice staff education project aimed to improve staff knowledge and enhance the consistency in administering and interpreting the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) within a mental health clinical setting. The practice problem was significant because variability in PHQ-9 use resulted in unreliable depression screening data, potentially leading to missed detection of depression or suicidal ideation, which undermines patient safety and quality of care. The guiding practice-focused question was: Among healthcare staff administering the PHQ-9, what effect does an educational program have on their knowledge related to the administration, documentation, and interpretation of depression screening? The Employment Situation Of Veterans: September 2025, Institute For Veterans And Military Families At Syracuse University

The September 2025 employment report shows veteran unemployment falling from 3.1% to 2.6%, with Post‑9/11 veterans declining from 3.0% to 2.4%. Veteran unemployment remained lower than nonveterans across most age groups, especially among young veterans ages 18–24, whose rate dropped sharply to 1.1%. Male veteran unemployment decreased, while female veteran unemployment rose slightly to 4.6%. Trends varied by race and ethnicity, with Hispanic veterans experiencing a notable increase. Nationally, employment rose modestly, with gains in health care, food services, and social assistance, while transportation, warehousing, and federal government roles saw job losses.

Asteroid mining, a sci-fi concept that is rapidly emerging as a potential cornerstone for humanity's expansion into space. This paper explores the economic, technological, and legal challenges of asteroid mining, by examining its feasibility, potential benefits, and other challenges that could hinder its development. Some argue that mining asteroids could provide essential resources and reduce dependency on Earth leading to sustainable space colonization, but critical challenges still remain.
