Pigeons pecking a key on a fixed-ratio schedule pause after receiving a reinforcer. This interruption in operant responding is defined solely by the absence of the responding. The purpose of the present study was to find out what a pigeon does during the pause in key pecking, and whether non-pecking behavior is different across transitions between the rich and lean components of a multiple schedule. Using videos of four pigeons, the duration of several non-pecking behaviors was recorded during the pauses that occurred after the end of a reinforcer and the start of responding in the next component. Intolerance of uncertainty (IU), the intense discomfort or inability to handle uncertain situations, is a transdiagnostic factor across multiple forms of psychopathology. Heightened levels of IU have been found in individuals with obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD) and have been found to significantly predict OCPD traits, such as emotional difficulties. However, no study to date has looked at the relationship between IU and experienced emotions in OCPD. The proposed study assessed at what level specific emotions occurred in an unselected OCPD sample and if intolerance of uncertainty predicted emotion beyond OCPD. This paper summarizes work with two Evenki reindeer herding collectives in the Severo-Baikal’skoe nagor’e in July, 2010. Ethnographic work with reindeer herder groups Oron and Uluki, both established in the early 1990s in the Kholodnoe community, highlighted two variations on the traditional Evenki approach to reindeer herding evincing numerous commonalities. Both groups relied on natural and human-made features of the landscape to habituate reindeer to areas where reindeer herding had been abandoned for close to 20 years. Reindeer herders and reindeer mutually determine seasonal and daily mobility patterns, and reindeer herding activities are leveraged to conduct big-game hunting and furbearer …

From agenda planning to reform implementation, a political leader can impact the federal employees’ job role. The federal government, however, does not administer alone, top-down mandates are managed by tiers of management, with the front-line supervisors acting as the liaison to federal employees. While each state has varying substance abuse laws and resources for those seeking treatment, many states have regulations that criminally charge expectant mothers seeking substance abuse treatment. Restrictive policies like these encourage these women to conceal their addiction to avoid criminal retaliation and stigmatization. These effects reverberate through communities plagued with poverty, forcing these women to choose between being clean and sober or protecting their children and freedom. งานวิจัยเรื่อง แนวทางการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์ ด้านแรงงานทักษะฝีมือสูง ตามแผนยุทธศาสตร์ชาติ 20 ปี เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพด้านการลงทุนในเขตเศรษฐกิจพิเศษภาคตะวันออก มีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ 1) เพื่อศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ความท้าทายด้านการพัฒนาแรงงานทักษะฝีมือสูงในเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก 2) เพื่อหาแนวทางในการกำหนดกลยุทธ์ในการพัฒนาแรงงานทักษะฝีมือสูงให้มีความรวดเร็วและได้จำนวนเพียงพอต่อความต้องการ การศึกษาเป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์ด้านแรงงานฝีมือทักษะสูงโดยตรง จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 17 คน แบ่งเป็น ผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการจ้าง/ใช้แรงงานฝีมือทักษะสูง (4 คน) กลุ่มผู้พัฒนาแรงงานฝีมือทักษะสูง (7 คน) กลุ่มผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพที่ได้รับการพัฒนาทักษะฝีมือ (6 คน) ผลการศึกษาพบว่า 1) เขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก ต้องการแรงงานฝีมือทักษะสูงด้านการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลขนาดใหญ่เพื่อแก้ปัญหาที่มีความซับซ้อน การออกแบบสร้างสรรค์และปรับปรุงกระบวนการทำงาน และทักษะเกี่ยวกับระบบอัตโนมัติสมัยใหม่ ซึ่งแรงงานในส่วนนี้ยังไม่ได้รับตอบสนองด้านการพัฒนาทักษะฝีมือได้อย่างรวดเร็วทันท่วงทีตามความต้องการของเขตเศรษฐกิจพิเศษภาคตะวันออก 2) การพัฒนาแรงงานฝีมือทักษะสูงยังคงมีความท้าทายในหลายด้าน ซึ่งส่งผลต่อจำนวน คุณภาพ และความรวดเร็วในการพัฒนาที่ส่งผลต่อความสามารถด้านการแข่งขันขององค์กร โดยมีอุปสรรคจากการจัดสรรงบประมาณและการสนับสนุนที่ไม่ทั่วถึง ทำให้ระยะเวลาและจำนวนแรงงานที่ได้รับการพัฒนาทักษะขั้นสูงไม่ตรงตามจำนวนความต้องการของเขตเศรษฐกิจพิเศษภาคตะวันออก

งานวิจัยฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ความเหมาะสมแนวทางการส่งเสริมมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ไทยและปัจจัยอื่นๆ ที่มีผลต่อการสมัครเข้าร่วมการตรวจประเมินมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ไทย เพื่อเสนอแนวทางพัฒนากระบวนการส่งเสริมมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ไทยให้มีประสิทธิภาพ และเพื่อส่งเสริมและพัฒนามาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ไทยให้ตอบสนองการท่องเที่ยวในยุควิถีใหม่ พื้นที่ศึกษาของงานวิจัยนี้คือจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ และเป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยรวบรวมข้อมูลจากการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก จากหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องในการส่งเสริมมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ไทย ผู้บริหารและเจ้าหน้าที่จากกรมการท่องเที่ยว ผู้บริหารจากการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย สำนักงานเชียงใหม่ เจ้าหน้าที่จากสำนักงานการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ สมาชิกกลุ่มโฮมสเตย์ที่ได้รับการรับรองมาตรฐาน สมาชิกโฮมสเตย์ที่ยังไม่ได้รับการรับรองมาตรฐาน รวมถึงนักท่องเที่ยวที่เคยเข้าพักโฮมสเตย์ที่ได้รับการรับรองและนักท่องเที่ยวที่ได้เข้าพักโฮมสเตย์ที่ยังไม่ได้รับการรับรองมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ไทย ผลการศึกษาพบว่า กระบวนการส่งเสริมมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์มีผลต่อการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชน เนื่องจากการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชนมีส่วนทำให้เกิดมาตรฐานในการดำเนินการ และเมื่อโฮมสเตย์เข้าสู่มาตรฐานเป็นการยกระดับโฮมสเตย์ให้มีคุณภาพในการให้บริการ ในขณะเดียวกันมีการดำเนินการการมีส่วนร่วม ในการดำเนินการท่องเที่ยวในรูปแบบโฮมสเตย์ของชุมชนอยู่แล้ว และภาครัฐได้เข้าไปช่วยสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมศักยภาพ สร้างทักษะให้กับชุมชนในการให้บริการหรือสร้างจุดขายของโฮมสเตย์ ซึ่งพบว่ามีแนวทางที่เหมาะสม แต่ยังต้องมีการประชาสัมพันธ์เพื่อ สร้างการรับรู้ถึงมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ และเผยแพร่สร้างความเข้าใจให้แก่นักท่องเที่ยวและโฮมสเตย์เพิ่มมากขึ้น รวมถึงพัฒนาด้านองค์ความรู้ของบุคลากรในการเผยแพร่ความรู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ไทย เพื่อสร้างแรงจูงใจให้ทั้งโฮมสเตย์ในการเข้าสู่มาตรฐานและนักท่องเที่ยวในการเลือกเดินทางท่องเที่ยวในโฮมสเตย์ที่ได้รับมาตรฐานซึ่งจะเป็นสิ่งการันตีถึงการท่องเที่ยวอย่างปลอดภัยและถูกสุขอนามัย ในยุคการท่องเที่ยววิถีใหม่ (New Normal)

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการดำเนินการและความร่วมมือในการจัดการปัญหาโจรสลัดและการปล้นเรือของสิงคโปร์ร่วมกับรัฐชายฝั่งในช่องแคบมะละกา จากการศึกษาด้วยการวิเคราะห์เอกสารและใช้กรอบแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับระบอบระหว่างประเทศในฐานะที่เป็นจุดประสานความร่วมมือเพื่อบรรลุเป้าหมาย ถึงผลประโยชน์ร่วมกันของรัฐ และงานวิจัยได้ข้อค้นพบดังนี้ ประการที่หนึ่ง ปัญหาโจรสลัดเป็นปัญหาที่ประเทศใดประเทศหนึ่งไม่อาจแก้ไขให้สำเร็จได้ถ้าหากไม่ได้รับความร่วมมือจากประเทศอื่น ๆ เพราะโจรสลัดและการปล้นเรือใช้ทะเลที่เป็นน่านน้ำระหว่างประเทศเป็นเส้นทางปฏิบัติการต่อเป้าหมาย ระบอบระหว่างประเทศที่เรียกว่า อนุสัญญาระหว่างประเทศว่าด้วยการปราบปรามการกระทำที่ผิดกฎหมายต่อความปลอดภัยของการเดินเรือ ค.ศ. 1988 (SUA Convention) จึงได้จัดตั้งขึ้นมาเพื่อวางกรอบประสานความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศสำหรับแก้ไขปัญหาดังกล่าว และประการที่สอง ประเทศที่ตั้งอยู่ในช่องแคบมะละกา มีเพียงสิงคโปร์ที่เป็นภาคีอนุสัญญาฯ ในขณะที่อินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย และไทย มิได้เข้าร่วมเป็นสมาชิกของระบอบระหว่างประเทศดังกล่าว เพราะกังวลว่าอาจกระทบต่ออธิปไตยและอัตตาณัติในการดำเนินนโยบายของตน แต่สิงคโปร์สามารถประสานความร่วมมือกับรัฐชายฝั่งเหล่านี้ได้ ในรูปแบบข้อตกลงระดับทวิภาคี และระหว่างหน่วยงานฝ่ายปฏิบัติของสิงคโปร์กับของรัฐชายฝั่งแต่ละประเทศ ประการที่สาม แม้ระบอบระหว่างประเทศจะไม่ได้มีผลบังคับต่อประเทศที่มิได้เป็นสมาชิก แต่ประเทศที่เป็นสมาชิกสามารถปรับหลักการ บรรทัดฐาน และมาตรการดำเนินการหลายอย่างที่ระบอบระหว่างประเทศวางไว้เป็นกรอบอันเป็นที่ยอมรับในระดับนานาชาติ มาเป็นแนวทางประสานความร่วมมือกับประเทศที่มิได้เป็นสมาชิก ดังเช่นที่สิงคโปร์สามารถประสานความร่วมมือเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาดังกล่าว

This increase has been attributed to the changes in the reporting practices within the 5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual. To address this increase, many treatments have emerged, including video self-modeling (VSM). VSM has demonstrated efficacy as an intervention in treating a variety of ASD symptoms, ranging from communication deficits to maladaptive behaviors. This article introduced the quantity controlled spectral indices working at mineral contents higher than 5 wt.% for detection of sericite, chlorite, and pyrophyllite, which are the representative alteration minerals of phyllic, propylitic, and advanced argillic hydrothermal alterations. The X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the samples are mostly pure with minor content of quartz. The absorption features of target minerals showed systematic decrease in absorption depth with decrease in the mineral content, and the changes varied by mineral types. AbstractMental illness is considered a silent killer in East Africa as it affects 1 in 4 people. Differences exist in how individuals from Western countries perceive mental illness compared to East Africans’ perceptions. The purpose of this qualitative study was to understand the lived experiences of East African immigrants to the United States and the impact of these experiences on their perceptions of mental illness.
