Purpose – The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the progress and development of the global literature on public health and review several components of scientometric study including the patterns of growth of literature, authorship, author collaboration, and productivity.

Design/methodology/approach – The current study is exploratory research in nature reviewing secondary literature extracted from a Scopus database and analytical with the application of suitable statistical and scientometric tools to strengthen the empirical validity. Public health literature was assessed quantitatively using scientometric indicators from 2000 to 2015.

This study uses a step-wise regression model to identify the socioeconomic variables most significant in explaining COVID-19 death rates on a state-level basis. The regression tests cover the 1/1/2020 to 12/1/2020 period as well as the first and second halves of 2020. This study also uses the Oxford stringency index to measure more precisely the efficacy of governmental mandates at the state level. The results in this study rigorously showed that while the density variables were the most significant explanatory variables during the first half of the year, their significance fell during the second half. Base on the view of material monism, this paper explains how quantum mechanics describes the objectivity of the microscopic world. It points out that the challenge posed by the Copenhagen interpretation to the fundamental problem of philosophy is not essential, due to its adoption of the wave-packet collapse hypothesis which is non-unique to implement repeatable measurement. Designed to provide basic motivational interviewing (MI) knowledge and skills to certified personal fitness trainers, the study looked to improve coaching skills to aid in client’s ability to adapt to healthier behaviors. As outlined in a study by Kelley et al., (2016), MI is used as a client-centered approach that includes several core principles to express empathy, support the client’s self-efficacy, roll with resistance, and develop discrepancy.

In this article, we adopt a psychobiographical perspective to analyze the character and life of one of Israel’s greatest heroes, Yonathan (“Yoni”) Netanyahu. Yoni was an illustrious military leader, as well as an outstanding intellectual and adored persona. He served as the commander of the special operation forces spearheading the famous Entebbe Operation during which Israeli commando forces rescued hostages taken captive in Uganda. Aim: Teaching 10 ages children to run medium distances, improving general physical fitness, improving the body in all aspects, and mastering running exercise techniques while increasing the level of special physical fitness.

Methods and Results: The results of the 10 ages children running 600 meters in the first year of the primary training group were 2: 06.0 ± 0.21 in the experimental group and 2: 08.0 ± 0.30 in the control group. The statistical difference between them did not differ on the Student- t criterion t = 0.44.

The purpose of this exploratory study was to garner a better understanding of the following research question: What factors may contribute to women’s retention in aviation occupations in the United States? The Aviation Occupation Survey was developed drawing from the published literature in organizational retention and diversity in aviation to explore this research question. The survey consisted of 50 Likert-scale items on nine subjects related to career retention. A total of 188 participants (women = 70, men = 118) completed the survey. The impact of women on the history of literature can be difficult to track, but they made important contributions to writing, publishing, and collecting. This short talk focuses on works in the Rare and Fine Book Collection in the Milner Library Special Collections department, with a particular emphasis on the writer Lady Mary Wroth and the collector Frances Wolfreston. Wroth was the first Englishwoman to publish a complete sonnet sequence and an original work of prose fiction and Wolfreston is considered one of the first notable women book collectors.

Community-based organizations (CBOs) (i.e., self-governing and/or not-for profit) have been identified as significant providers of behavioral health services. However, there are gaps in the literature surrounding CBO implementation capacity, meaning their ability to adopt, implement, and sustain EBPs. Case Study 1: Sedentary lifestyles are part of an increasing problem of social significance in the United States. Behavioral interventions can be used to effect change in this area and the target behavior of increase can be physical activity. Multiple behavioral change techniques used within an umbrella of a self-management intervention package were utilized to increase physical activity, more specifically walking behavior, for one participant. The study results showed that the self-management intervention package was effective in increasing walking behavior for the participant, and future research is discussed.

This report describes two case studies that used behavior analytic interventions to promote skill acquisition during structured instructional activities for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The first study examined the effects of presession pairing (PSP) implemented by a teacher in the natural classroom setting for a 6-year-old with ASD whose problem behavior was associated with gaining access to attention and escaping from task demands. Results showed PSP augmented with a visual cue resulted in increased on-task behavior and decreased disruptive behavior. The second study examined the use of discrete trial training (DTT) for a 16-year-old female adolescent with ASD …

Previous studies have assessed the use of video interventions to enhance athletic performance. However, few studies have evaluated the use of video interventions to improve form in weightlifting. The present study evaluated the effects of video feedback (VF) with and without video modeling (VM) to enhance barbell squat form with novice and typically developing adults. The results showed that VF increased performance to near 100% for one participant. For the other VF increased performance to moderate levels and the addition of VF only slightly increased performance

This dissertation explores the narrative experiences of fathers raising children born with Down syndrome. The study joins a recent stratum of research on parents of children with Down syndrome which is grounded in critical disability theory, adheres to a social model of disabilities, and adopts narrative methodology, but which thus far has not investigated fathers’ experiences. 22 fathers, recruited by means of snowball sampling, participated in a two-question, semi-structured interview with a follow-up conversation. Findings from question one indicated that, in the initial moment of diagnosis, fathers experienced adverse encounters with medical personnel, intense negative emotions about the diagnosis, distressing …

Ending all violence against children by 2030 is a core part of Sustainable Development Goals 5 and 16. A number of promising violence reduction strategies have been identified in research studies. Since the 2010 Census, Oregon’s Asian American population has grown by 42.3% and its Pacific Islander population has grown by 57.3%, making these groups the fastest growing in the state (US Census Bureau, 2019; US Census Bureau, 2020a). In the Portland metropolitan area, these populations experienced a growth of 42.1% and 64.7%, respectively (US Census Bureau, 2019; US Census Bureau, 2020a). Weight stigma exists in many ways within our society, though how exactly it manifests in a religious context has not been well-researched. This study investigates the relationship between female body size and perceived morality among college-age Latter-day Saints. 260 Latter-day Saint BYU students between the ages of 18 and 30 were randomly assigned one of two surveys: one featuring the image of a larger-bodied woman and the other featuring the image of a smaller-bodied woman—both being similar in complexion and dress.
