This research is discussed using theories of strategy and defense strategies, a research methodology with a qualitative approach, and a collection of research and literature studies. Students' creative thinking can be improved through engaging teaching materials. PBL-based e-modules, which are interactive and student-centered, can address this need. However, teachers at Giovanni Kupang Catholic High School lack such resources. This study developed a PBL-based biology e-module using the Lee and Owens model to enhance creative thinking in Class XI students. Implemented in the 2022/2023 semester, the e-module showed significant improvement (N-gain score of 0.70) with the strongest impact on divergent thinking (0.82). These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of PBL-based e-modules in fostering creative thinking skills in biology education.

We present and evaluate the Merrimack College Mobile Lightboard, which we built in 2017 and which is still in use in 2025. Our design was closely based on that of the groundbreaking 2014 Duke University Lightboard but with a smaller glass pane, 5 feet wide instead of 6 feet wide. The resulting scaled-down board is small enough to move in and out of individual faculty offices, but large enough to make detailed videos. An updated construction cost estimate is provided, and recent upgrades are briefly discussed. Heutagogy (pronounced hyoo-tuh-goh-jee), derived from the Greek word "heureske," meaning "to discover," is closely related to heuristic learning. Coined by Hase and Kenyon in 2000, heutagogy refers to self-determined learning that operates independently of traditional teaching structures. Unlike pedagogy and andragogy, which emphasize teacher-directed instruction, heutagogy shifts the focus to learner autonomy, allowing students to choose what and how they learn.

Heutagogy represents a shift from teacher-centered to learner-centered education, grounded in two key philosophical approaches: humanism and constructivism. This study argues that war poetry, when critically read in military education, enables cadets to engage with the ethical, psychological, and human dimensions of war. Rather than serving as propaganda or glorification of battle, war poetry voices the unspoken suffering of soldiers and civilians and preserves the memory of trauma. Drawing on Nil Santiáñez’s recent work on the symbiosis between war and language, this article situates war writing as a space where questions of knowledge, ethics, and survival are inevitably confronted. This qualitative study explored elementary school educators’ experiences with ableism and bias in their daily professional lives. While federal policy affirms the rights of students with disabilities, inequities persist in how these protections are implemented in schools (Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act, 2004). Using semi–structured interviews with 11 elementary educators, including general education teachers, special education teachers, counselors, and administrators, this study examined how ableism is perceived, experienced and addressed in elementary settings. Thematic analysis identified themes of deficit–based thinking, lowered expectations, lack of early intervention, resistance to inclusion, and the impact of labels and language on shaping opportunities …
