This academic article aims to present an integrated model for assessing creative problem-solving skills among higher education students, particularly in the contexts of general education courses and large classes. Creative problem-solving is a soft skill characterized by a process-oriented and multidimensional structure, involving understanding problems, generating ideas, making decisions, and developing solutions for action. Therefore, it cannot be comprehensively assessed through a single instrument or solely through end-point outcomes. Literacy And Competency In Thai Education : A Crosswalk Framework For Curriculum Design And Assessment, Wichai Sawekngam

This article aims to analyze and position the relationship between literacy and competency in the context of Thai education. It employs conceptual analysis and purposive document synthesis based on relevant international and Thai frameworks, including PIAAC, PISA/OECD, UNESCO, ACRL, the Council of the European Union, DigComp, UNESCO-UNEVOC, PISA Thailand, and CBE Thailand materials on core competencies and learning assessment. The analysis indicates that literacy and competency are related but cannot be used interchangeably. Literacy emphasizes domain-specific abilities to understand, evaluate, use, create, or communicate texts, data, media, symbols, or information in meaningful contexts. The results of the PISA 2022 reading literacy assessment indicate a critical crisis in the reading abilities of Thai students. Only 35% of lower secondary school students were able to read at the baseline level, while the remaining 65% performed below it. This situation underscores the urgent need for effective instructional approaches to improve students’ reading abilities at both policy and practical levels. This article proposes the concept of disciplinary literacy to accomplish this. This research aims to explore the expectations and analyze the expectation management strategies of Chinese master's degree students at a Thai university. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with seven key informants, selected through purposive sampling combined with snowball sampling. The informants were Chinese master's degree students aged between 23–28 years, representing diverse genders, fields of study, and regions in China. Critical education research in Thailand has accumulated substantial knowledge about ideological reproduction mechanisms, yet a theoretical gap remains in explaining the dynamics of teacher and student agency and everyday negotiation. This article pursues two objectives: first, to critically examine liberal-progressive education discourse and structuralist critical education frameworks shaping Thai education reform, highlighting limitations of approaches that view schooling merely as ideological reproduction and educational culture as rigidly authoritarian; second, to reconstruct new possibilities for critical education in Thailand through alternative theoretical frameworks that recognize teacher and student agency. Previous instructional approaches have effectively developed the claim and evidence components of students’ ability to construct scientific explanations. However, the reasoning component remains unclear. This convergent parallel mixed-methods research aimed 1) to study seventh-grade students’ level of ability to construct scientific explanations during learning using the diagram-based scientific explanation learning model with scaffolding techniques, and 2) to study seventh-grade students’ level of ability to construct scientific explanations after learning. This study aimed to 1) identify latent research topics in educational measurement and evaluation from academic databases covering the years 2008–2025 using Structural Topic Modeling (STM), 2) analyze topic prevalence trends and forecast their growth trajectories for 2027 using Bayesian Multilevel Piecewise Regression (BMPR), and 3) synthesize strategic research themes from the topic classification and forecasting results. The dataset consisted of 1,695 research articles from the proceedings of three international conferences. Holding The Line: Teacher Resilience And Engagement In Myanmar’S Conflict-Affected, Non-State Schools, Lugyi No, Hilary Lustick

This qualitative study explores teacher resilience, professional engagement, and informal leadership in community-led schools located in conflict-affected areas of Myanmar. The study draws on two online focus group discussions with 14 high school teachers selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a semi-structured focus group discussion protocol. The discussions were conducted in the Myanmar language, and the data were analyzed using inductive thematic analysis. The findings indicate that teachers sustain resilience through moral purpose, professional commitment, and strong relational ties with students, peers, and local communities. This pre-experimental research aimed to compare the students’ learning Inspiration before, and after using AFTER model assembly with Goodness Based Learning (GBL) on the Strategic Life Planning lesson plans to enhance student’s learning inspiration, A one-group pretest-posttest design was conducted on 40 lower secondary students using a lesson plan with IOC = 0.80-1.00, high-level quality was implemented 1 period a week for 15 weeks. The purpose of this research was to develop and validate a social media political engagement scale for Thai youth. The sample consists of 934 grade 10-12 students in the academic year 2025, from schools administered under the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), Ministry of Education. Recruiting by using a muti-stage random sampling. The research instrument was a social media political engagement scale, a 5-point Likert scale, consisting of 73 items. This pre-experimental research aimed to 1) examine the effects of phonics-based instruction combined with reading skill exercises on Thai reading skills of third-grade students, and 2) investigate the learning process and factors contributing to the success of this instructional approach. A one-group pretest-posttest was employed. Thailand’s time-based education system still faces limitations in developing 21st Century skills and misalignment with labor market demands. This article analyzes the development of a competency-based curriculum (CBC) through case studies of Thailand, Singapore, Germany, and South Korea, aiming to propose guidelines for enhancing high-skilled labor that corresponds to the needs of the industrial sectors. The study reveals that Thailand has CBC pilot projects such as Work-integrated Learning (WiL), Skill-Mapping, and Higher Education Sandbox. This action research aims to examine a contemplative facilitation process that fosters self-awareness among the elderly. The participants were 10 elderly people from a Social Welfare Development Center for Older Persons in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Qualitative data were collected through participant observation and in-depth interviews, and data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results revealed that the developed contemplative facilitation process, grounded in mindfulness cultivation, observation of the body, emotions, and thoughts, and deep listening, comprised eight activity sessions incorporating art-based activities and nature-connected practices. This research aimed to 1) examine and classify types of sentence errors in business email writing produced by students, and 2) analyze the frequency, ranking, and percentage distribution of sentence errors identified in business email writing of students. The COVID-19 pandemic led to lockdown measures worldwide, including in Thailand. As a result, the traditional approach to chamber music instruction at Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music had to be adapted into an online format during the 2021 and 2022 academic years. This unprecedented situation prompted a reassessment of conventional chamber music teaching strategies and the development of an entirely new instructional plan to address the unique challenges of online delivery.
