Background: Disasters disrupt daily human activities, arising from natural or artificial triggers, with varying impacts based on community vulnerability and resource capacity. Effective disaster management involves a cycle of mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. One of the mitigation measures is to establish school disaster preparedness that integrate education and capacity building.

Objective: The aim of this research is to conduct a bibliometric analysis based on Scopus publications regarding school disaster preparedness.

Twenty-first-century veterinary practice demands graduates who combine clinical expertise with professional competencies including communication, financial literacy, evidence-based practice, and One Health awareness. Whether Thai Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) curricula systematically develop these competencies has not been evaluated across the full national cohort. This study assessed the 21st-century readiness of all 11 accredited Thai DVM programs using the Competency-Based Veterinary Education 2.0 (CBVE 2.0) framework (AAVMC Council, 2024). Objective(s): This review explores the evolving landscape of biomedical education and career pathways, driven by technological advancements, interdisciplinary integration, and global health demands.

Methods: We examine the distinctions between biomedical science, biomedicine, and biomedical engineering, highlighting their historical origins and contemporary roles. The education and career trajectories of biomedical laboratory scientists (BLS) are analysed, emphasising diverse competencies, core curricula, and the impact of regional policies on professional qualifications. Medical professionalism development is a significant challenge of medical education, even though it is essential for medical practitioners. The Dynamics and ambiguity of medical professionalism cause difficulty in setting specific learning objectives, creating validated assessment methods, and designing effective teaching methodologies. Meanwhile, emotional intelligence is a growing area of study in medical education. There is a significant connection between medical professionalism and emotional intelligence. Certain attributes of emotional intelligence contribute to developing professionalism. Numerous pieces of literature illustrated emotional intelligence development and assessment in health professions education. Emotional intelligence is potentially the path to developing medical professionalism.

Thailand’s time-based education system still faces limitations in developing 21st Century skills and misalignment with labor market demands. This article analyzes the development of a competency-based curriculum (CBC) through case studies of Thailand, Singapore, Germany, and South Korea, aiming to propose guidelines for enhancing high-skilled labor that corresponds to the needs of the industrial sectors. The study reveals that Thailand has CBC pilot projects such as Work-integrated Learning (WiL), Skill-Mapping, and Higher Education Sandbox. This action research aims to examine a contemplative facilitation process that fosters self-awareness among the elderly. The participants were 10 elderly people from a Social Welfare Development Center for Older Persons in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Qualitative data were collected through participant observation and in-depth interviews, and data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results revealed that the developed contemplative facilitation process, grounded in mindfulness cultivation, observation of the body, emotions, and thoughts, and deep listening, comprised eight activity sessions incorporating art-based activities and nature-connected practices. This study aimed to examine the validity and reliability of the Bebras test, which was cross-culturally adapted and adjusted to fit the Thai context. Both Classical Test Theory (CTT) and Modern Test Theory (MTT) were employed to analyze the data. The sample comprised of 115 grade 9 students. The research instrument was the Bebras test, a standardized assessment developed by Vilnius University in Lithuania. Data analysis employed CTT, yielding an average difficulty index of 0.57 and an average discrimination index of 0.42. This study examined the impact of blended learning on the self-directed learning and academic achievement of the first-year nursing students studying metabolic biochemistry. This quasi-experiment research recruited 150 first-year nursing students at one of the nursing college. A blended learning intervention, combining face-to-face instruction and various online activities, was implemented. Data were collected using a self-directed learning scale, pretest and posttest, and a final exam.
