The Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP), the first modern private school choice program in the United States, has grown from 341 students attending 7 private schools in 1990 to 27,857 students attending 126 private schools today. The MPCP has been subject to extensive study that has focused largely on student performance on standardized tests, which have found few differences in performance between MPCP students and similar students in the Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS). This study presents new data on the college enrollment, persistence, and graduation of MPCP and MPS students who were tracked over 11 years beginning in 2006. MPCP …

The Avian influenza virus (AIV) H5N1 has been responsible for the culling and deaths of millions of birds since 2022 with concern for wildlife, livestock, and human infections occurring as well. With eggs flying off the shelves in grocery stores, even individuals not involved in the agricultural industry have seen the drastic effects of this disease first-hand. For chickens, this virus works quickly and overpowers the innate immune system before the adaptive immune system has time to properly respond. The literature review provides an overview of peer-reviewed sources from various educational journals, as well as online publications. Most students lack awareness regarding the labor market outcomes for their chosen college majors. This study aims to answer what factors affect the career expectations of graduating students at Quezon City University and how these expectations align with the prevailing labor market situation. It employed descriptive, causal, and explanatory research using a sample of 108 respondents from fourth-year information technology students for the school year 2021 to 2022. Eight of the nine null hypotheses were rejected by employing multinomial logistic and linear regression. Purpose: This paper examines how pandemic-era leadership lessons inform the current implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in schools, focusing on adaptive strategies, distributed leadership, and equity-focused decision-making among US school principals during crisis-driven technological change.

Design/methodology/approach: A qualitative approach was employed, drawing on semi-structured interviews with fifty public school principals conducted between 2020 and 2022. Data were coded and analyzed iteratively using distributed leadership theory to identify key themes related to technology integration, professional development and leadership practices in rapidly changing environments.

Research infrastructure plays a central role in shaping the quality and innovative capacity of scientific research. This study evaluates how the availability of research equipment influences scientific rigor, reproducibility, and innovation across STEM disciplines. Drawing on literature from science-to-science research, policy studies, and discipline-specific analyses, this project synthesizes existing scholarship to explore the relationship between access to infrastructure and key research outcomes. Findings across the literature indicate that access to advanced and well-maintained equipment can strengthen scientific rigor by enabling more precise measurements, improved experimental control, and the implementation of standardized research protocols. This scoping review explores how anticipatory models of governance are conceptualised and operationalised globally within higher education settings in the context of AI-related transformations. Using a scoping review design, academic and grey literature published between 2020 and 2025 was searched across Scopus, EBSCOhost, ERIC, Google Scholar, and ProQuest. Teachers’ attitudes towards inclusive education are widely recognised as a key indicator of the inclusiveness of classroom environments. However, existing instruments inadequately capture teachers’ mindsets in relation to inclusive education for all learners. This study addresses this gap by developing and validating a new cross-cultural measurement instrument: the Attitudes Towards Inclusion for All scale (ATIFA), in both English (ATIFA-EN) and German (ATIFA-DE). Data were collected from pre-service and in-service teachers in Australia (n = 146) and Germany (n = 238). Exploratory factor analysis and Rasch modelling identified four robust subscales—Philosophy, Practice, Social Inclusion, and Support—with strong psychometric properties. Evidence of …

Background Gender imbalance in STEM, characterized by a significant underrepresentation of women, remains a significant challenge. Although gender bias is a well-known contributor to women’s attrition from STEM, the psychological mechanisms linking gender bias to departure are less well understood. Our research investigates early antecedents of attrition and the psychological processes that precede leaving the STEM pathway in tertiary education. Ensuring the quality of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) remains a complex challenge in higher education, as traditional post-hoc psychometric analyses often identify flaws only after students have been negatively impacted. While Large Language Models (LLMs) offer potential for simulating student performance to validate items before delivery, they are frequently hindered by a “high-accuracy bias” that prevents larger models from realistically mimicking student errors. Students in higher education are often uncertain about which uses of generative AI are acceptable, and that uncertainty causes stress and inadvertent breaches. Permission scales describe intended use but are hard to enforce in unsupervised work: compliance rests on honest disclosure, and enforcement rests on detection, which is unreliable. This paper proposes a structural alternative organised around one question: was AI present when the assessed work was produced? Presence is defined by opportunity, which design controls. Research assessment is often viewed as a technical process for evaluating research performance. However, assessment systems also function as institutional mechanisms that shape incentives, influence researcher behaviour and help determine which activities are recognized and rewarded within the research ecosystem. This opinion piece argues that research assessment should be understood as an institutional lever for sustainable development. 労力の強度や効率性とその時間を１０倍にするのは無理です。ストレスが１０倍になったら危険です。楽しく、最初は小さなことをコツコツと、そしてユーピの第４原則を使って、サイクルを上手に作り、絶えず目標とやり方を工夫しながら進化させます。そして、何よりも何かを向上させるプロジェクトについては、天父にシニアパートナーになっていただき、細かいことについても相談し、指示を仰ぐのです。天と調和するとき、自分の力をはるかに超えることができるのは当然ですよね。

次に、「影響力」とはどういう風に働かせるのか。自分一人ですべてのことをやろうとしたら限りがあります。でも、誰かほかの人に働きかけて一緒にやれば、自分の影響力を、1.2倍とかにするのは控え目に見積もってもできるでしょう。その輪を広げていくと、３倍とか５倍とかにまでできますよね。さらに、相手の人やグループの人に働きかけて、その人やグループが、関係ある人たちに自分が与えようとしている影響力を、その人たちの方法で周りに発散するように丁寧に訓練していくなら、時間はかかるかもしれませんが、結果的には、自分の力の及ぶ人たちの全体として、自分の１０倍以上の影響力を周りの人たちに対して与えることになります。

以上のように考えると、１０倍の影響力を社会に対して与えるというのは、あながち不可能ではないと、意外と、根気よくやればできることだと思えてきませんか？
