University faculty have work responsibilities and duties that encompass teaching, research (scholarship), and service and experience pressure from administrators, students, institutions, and disciplines. They also have expectations placed on them outside of their institutions by their families, peers, and communities. A gap exists in the literature regarding the workplace and personal stressors that university faculty experience including the coping strategies they employ to manage stress. This qualitative study utilized a general strain theory framework for guidance and modified informal conversational interviews with University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock) faculty. My research project, “Fashion, Identity and the Muslim- American Narrative” builds off of well-established prior models and responds to this moment. This article traces the impact of 9/11 on my teaching style as an art historian. That trauma has left its marks on all of us, and yet life goes on. This is a story of composing and being composed by “Aesthetics and curriculum”, a course I taught for 28 years at the University of Illinois. The course aimed at living with questions, as Rilke famously suggested, rather than seeking ultimate answers; heightened experience, wonder and exploration rather than mastery; creating openings rather than pre-destined knowledge. Professor Danny Mydlack recounts the mysterious arc of his student’s creative unfolding. Amelia, a middle-aged single mom, drops out of the personal videography production class before the end and yet her final assignment is delivered, posthumously, by her adult daughters. Schools are the third largest employer of occupational therapists (OTs) in the United States (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2021). Safe patient handling and mobility is an ergonomic approach consisting of policies, programs, and equipment to reduce WMSD and facilitate a culture of safety among patients and healthcare practitioners. Due to occupational therapy’s established role in ergonomics, practitioners are skilled to utilize SPHM to provide evaluative, consultative, preventative, and therapeutic services to patients while preventing WMSDs to healthcare practitioners. Despite OT’s contributions to SPHM, occupational therapy practitioners are not recognized as leaders in SPHM. The Engine control room in a vessel is covered with a soundproof wall. Therefore, crews can not communicate with each other with normal voices. Therefore, crews in the engine room communicated with colleagues by hand signals instead of loud voices in the noisy space when there was no control room yet in a vessel. An example of a hand signal that Japanese crews used to use in the past was putting your right hand into your left armpit, which means “measure”. JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Dec. 10, 2021) – Upgrades to the Reece Museum’s main entrance, galleries, foyer and multipurpose room aimed at creating better experiences for the East Tennessee State University community and public are happening this winter. 

The main entrance is being renovated to repair infrastructure and make the museum more accessible to visitors. The galleries, foyer and multipurpose room will also see major changes as new displays and three new exhibitions are set to open in January 2022.
