A critical element for aligning assessments to the UIS eligibility criteria is mapunderstanding minimum proficiency levels (MPLs) in reading and mathematics. The Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Centre, in collaboration with the UIS, has defined clear MPL benchmarks and developed a blueprint for assessment for the 3 educational stages under SDG 4.1.1. This presentation shared the definition and blueprint with key stakeholders at the 11th meeting of the Global Alliance to Monitor Learning in Paris from 25-26 February 2025, to ensure a shared understanding of the criteria needed for meaningful global reporting.

The Impact Of Using Poe Chatgpt-Based Tpack Model On English As A Foreign Language Teachers’ Performance And Their Students’ Vocabulary Learning, Faten Zahran

Objectives: The study aims to investigate the efficacy of the Poe ChatGPT-based TPACK model on EFL teachers’ performance and their students’ vocabulary learning.

Methods: I designed four instruments to gather the research data: a survey of EFL teaching skills, a teaching knowledge test, an observation checklist for assessing teacher performance, and a vocabulary knowledge test.

Results: The statistical analysis of the research data proved that EFL teachers developed their teaching performance. The statistical analysis of preparatory students’ vocabulary tests proved no differences between the experimental and control groups.

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

This study aimed to examine how perceived parental mental and physical health status was associated with child physical activity, screen time, and sleep. Participants were 6- to 17-year-old minors (N = 20,156; 47.9% female) from the 2022 US National Survey of Children’s Health. Dependent variables were children’s physical activity frequency, screen time, and sleep. Independent variables were parents’ physical and mental health status. Using the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model, two adjusted path models were constructed. One for parent mental health associating with parental physical health, another for parent physical health associating with parental mental health–both further associating with child movement behaviors. …

This project explores the implementation of a training curriculum for emergency response team (ERT) members in schools. Using a pre-and post-test questionnaire to assess knowledge aims to increase the understanding of identifying emergencies and responding to school personnel. Emergencies can happen at any time or place. School districts need to ensure they are prepared to respond appropriately to help during these situations. Integrative field mapping combined with published and unpublished seismic profiles, support an inferred, easternmost limit of Sevier thrusting during Late Cretaceous foreland deformation in east-central Utah. East-verging thrust faults, drag folds, and chatter marks within Jurassic and Late-Cretaceous exposures at Ketobe Knob along the western margin of Cedar Mountain in the northwestern and central parts of the San Rafael Swell and within the western zone of the Colorado Plateau provide evidence for a more easterly expression of the Sevier Thrust Front. Offset is accomplished by bedding-parallel slippage along less competent shales and siltstones and by oblique ramping across more competent …

Laser scanning of transportation aggregate materials provided a means to identify aggregate types, sources, and quality in near-real time. A multi-state project led by the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) and facilitated by Chesner Engineering (Coeymans, New York) used laser ablation breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) to determine whether the technique could be used to predict durability (D)-cracking aggregate susceptibility and whether LIBS could be evaluated to ensure that the source materials were all derived from approved materials. Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives assume many forms in higher education (Morgan et al., 2021). Yet, research shows that institutions struggle with developing and implementing DEI initiatives (Leon, 2014; Scott, 2020). The unique structure, goals, and governance of colleges create complex conditions for DEI initiatives (Berry et al., 2018). A prominent model that monitors the development and implementation of DEI is reflected in strategic planning processes (Birdsall, 2018). This study examines the ethical implications of AI in role-playing games (RPGs), focusing on meta-participation, transparency, and algorithmic influence. By exploring AI’s role in shaping narratives and player agency, we analyze ethical concerns such as informed consent, algorithmic control, and cultural inclusivity. Through a systematic literature review and real-world case studies, the research proposes principles for integrating AI ethically into RPGs while preserving their immersive and collaborative essence. This work challenges existing paradigms and invites critical discourse on AI's evolving role in game design.

This paper incorporates an interview between a curriculum specialist and a court judge that examines the value and influence of integrating esthetic education, specifically through object-based inquiry (OBI), into judiciary education. Esthetic experiences, when combined with reflective and thoughtful discussions, enhance legal professionals’ imaginative capacities, promoting fair, ethical decision-making. This interview addresses how OBI has great potential to inspire legal professionals to enrich their perspectives on structural inequities. Through engagement with art and artifacts, legal professionals have been exposed to a deeper understanding of implicit biases and have learned to rethink the myth of objectivity in their judgments and practices. …
