Financing Of Small And Medium Scale Enterprises And Its Growth Impact In Nigeria., Charles Onyeiwu Ph.D, Obumneke Bob Muoneke, Udo Nkoyo

The Journal of Entrepreneurial Finance

Abstract: We examined the extent to which SMEs financing influenced economic growth in Nigeria through the use of time-series data from 1999-2018. After a literature search, other factors possessing the potential to influence the dependent variable ASGDP was added to the research model. Relying on Ordinary Least Squares estimation using E-views 10.0, findings shows that lending rate reduces ASGDP by 7% and gross capital formation reduces ASGDP by 5%. On the other hand, surprisingly, credit to SMEs did not retain the massive effect on growth as seen in previous studies. We can attribute this to our choice of adopting SME …

Enhancing External Participation Of Philippine Msmes Towards Entrepreneurial Venture Growth, John Paolo R. Rivera

Angelo King Institute for Economic and Business Studies (AKI)

Alongside profit maximization and value creation, enterprises are in the pursuit of entrepreneurial venture growth. The need to pursue entrepreneurial venture growth given the risks brought about by a volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous, and disruptive (VUCAD) world (Rafael et al., 2020) is vital to sustain entrepreneurs’ income, to continue generating employment, and to continue providing value-adding products and services for society. However, entrepreneurial venture growth requires the capacity to produce products that are acceptable to the market; and the level of support given to enterprises to help them produce, innovate, and gain market access. Various functional areas of the business …

Determinants Of Entrepreneurial Venture Growth In The Philippines Using The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, Brian C. Gozun, John Paolo R. Rivera

Angelo King Institute for Economic and Business Studies (AKI)

Entrepreneurial venture growth requires the capacity to produce products that are acceptable to the market, and the level of support given to enterprises helps them produce, innovate, and gain market access. However, entrepreneurs are faced with challenges related to physical and social infrastructure, local and global business environment, a level playing field, access to financing, and access to skill development and knowledge. If these remain unmitigated, they have the potential to hamper entrepreneurial growth. Hence, we inquire on the critical drivers of venture growth that will allow entrepreneurs to stimulate their enterprises using founder characteristics, firm attributes, and entrepreneurial strategies. …

Singapore is no exception. Hence, the well-being of the SME sector in Singapore bears huge importance in the growth and development of its economy. In practice, financing of private companies, particularly small companies, is a challenge. In general, their small size makes private firms more susceptible to exogenous shocks. …

I employ a qualitative approach, comprising seven focus group meetings in seven communities in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality in the Western North Region of Ghana. The findings show that the rotated susu concept emanates from the nnoboa concept and the two systems are underpinned by the following values: trust, synergy, flexibility and empathy, commitment, tolerance and punctuality and promptness. Another finding of the study is that the nnoboa and rotated susu systems offer participants a lot of mileage: …

Will Seasonality Patterns For Beef Export Sales And Commitments Hold In 2021?, Elliott James Dennis

Extension Farm and Ranch Management News

First two paragraphs:

Trade occurs when price differences between the two locations are large enough after accounting for transportation cost, exchange rates, tariffs, etc. Exports vary throughout the year since prices reflect current and future supply and demand situations. Seasonality in cattle production, meat demand, and market disruptions are some examples of why wholesale beef prices increase and decrease within a year.

The inability to market cattle in the second quarter of 2020 and increased demand for retail beef products due to government gathering restrictions in restaurants caused wholesale beef prices to rise to historical levels. Beef wholesalers can choose …

Solución Para El Control Interno En Microempresas Por Medio Del Modelo Adaptado De Control Interno Para Microempresas Colombianas Basado En El Modelo Coco, Luisa María Delgado Caita, Ginary Lorena Chacón Cruz

Weathering A Crisis: A Multi-Level Analysis Of Resilience In Young Ventures, Ali Anwar, Nicole Coviello, Maria Rouziou

Business Faculty Publications

In the context of the external disruption presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, we investigate (1) how individual-level resilience and inter-functional coordination relate to organizational resilience and (2) the link between organizational resilience and firm performance. We view organizational resilience as a resource-based capability and draw on insights regarding psychological capital and relational resources to inform our hypotheses. Our hypotheses are tested with a time-lagged, multi-level study of young technology ventures. The results show that when such firms are resilient, they tend to perform significantly better in a crisis. Further, organizational resilience is positively influenced by the individual resilience of top …
