ปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเภทข้อมูลย้อนกลับเชิงโต้ตอบด้วยคอมพิวเตอร์กับระดับความสามารถทางฟิสิกส์ ที่มีต่อพัฒนาการความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาทางฟิสิกส์ของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4, ธันยบูรณ์ ธัญลักษณ์มะระ, กมลวรรณ ตังธนกานนท์

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1)ศึกษาปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเภทข้อมูลย้อนกลับเชิงโต้ตอบด้วยคอมพิวเตอร์ (ลดความคล้าย เพิ่มความคล้าย ความคล้ายคงที่ และบอกคำตอบที่ถูกต้อง) กับระดับความสามารถทางฟิสิกส์ (สูง ปานกลาง และต่ำ) ที่มีต่อพัฒนาการความสามารถของนักเรียน และ 2) เปรียบเทียบพัฒนาการความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาทางฟิสิกส์ของนักเรียนในแต่ละระดับความสามารถทางฟิสิกส์ที่ได้รับข้อมูลย้อนกลับเชิงโต้ตอบด้วยคอมพิวเตอร์ ตัวอย่างวิจัย คือ นักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 จำนวน 73 คน เครื่องมือวิจัย คือ แบบฝึกหัดการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาทางฟิสิกส์ด้วยคอมพิวเตอร์ และแบบสอบวัดความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาทางฟิสิกส์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณใช้สถิติเชิงบรรยาย คะแนนพัฒนาการสัมพัทธ์ การวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนแบบวัดซ้ำ และการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนสองทาง ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1) มีปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเภทข้อมูลย้อนกลับเชิงโต้ตอบกับระดับความสามารถทางฟิสิกส์ต่อพัฒนาการความสามารถอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และ 2) นักเรียนที่มีความสามารถระดับสูงที่ได้รับข้อมูลย้อนกลับต่างประเภทกันมีพัฒนาการความสามารถไม่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ส่วนนักเรียนที่มีความสามารถระดับปานกลางที่ได้รับข้อมูลย้อนกลับแบบลดความคล้ายและแบบความคล้ายคงที่ รวมถึงนักเรียนที่มีความสามารถระดับต่ำที่ได้รับข้อมูลย้อนกลับแบบความคล้ายคงที่มีพัฒนาการความสามารถสูงกว่าแบบบอกคำตอบที่ถูกต้องอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

การวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการในชั้นเรียนนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาความสามารถในการรู้เรื่องการอ่านของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนการสอนแบบสืบสอบ และ 2) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการรู้เรื่องการอ่านระหว่างนักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนการสอนแบบสืบสอบกับนักเรียนที่ได้รับการเรียนการสอนแบบปกติ กลุ่มเป้าหมายคือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 โรงเรียนสังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน ปีการศึกษา 2563 จำนวน 80 คน ได้มาโดยวิธีการคัดเลือกแบบเจาะจง แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มทดลอง จำนวน 40 คน และกลุ่มควบคุม จำนวน 40 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบทดสอบการรู้เรื่องการอ่าน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการหาค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบค่าที ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1) นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ที่ได้รับการสอนโดยใช้การจัดการเรียนการสอนแบบสืบสอบ มีความสามารถในการรู้เรื่องการอ่านหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 2) นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่3 ที่ได้รับการสอนโดยใช้การจัดการเรียนการสอนแบบสืบสอบ มีความสามารถในการรู้เรื่องการอ่านสูงกว่ากลุ่มที่ได้รับการสอนด้วยวิธีปกติอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

กรอบแนวคิดการจัดการความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมในโรงเรียนขนาดใหญ่พิเศษ, ครรชิต พิมใจ, ดาวรุวรรณ ถวิลการ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาและประเมินกรอบแนวคิดของการจัดการความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมในโรงเรียนขนาดใหญ่พิเศษ เป็นการวิจัยผสานวิธี ดำเนินการ 2 ขั้นตอน คือ 1) ศึกษาเอกสารเกี่ยวกับการจัดการความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรม จำนวน 15 แหล่ง เพื่อสังเคราะห์กรอบแนวคิดของการจัดการความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมที่ประกอบด้วยองค์ประกอบและตัวบ่งชี้จากแนวคิดและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง และ 2) ประเมินกรอบแนวคิดการจัดการความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมตามกรอบที่ได้สังเคราะห์จากเอกสารโดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจำนวน 5 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบประเมินเป็นแบบตรวจสอบรายการและแบบปลายเปิดเพื่อเสนอแนะ โดยวิเคราะห์หาค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้อง (Index of Item Objective Congruence: IOC) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) กรอบแนวคิดของการจัดการความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมในโรงเรียนขนาดใหญ่พิเศษ มี 5 องค์ประกอบหลัก ได้แก่ (1) การฝึกอบรมทางวัฒนธรรม มี 3 ตัวบ่งชี้ (2) การจัดระบบพี่เลี้ยงและให้คำปรึกษา มี 3 ตัวบ่งชี้ (3) ภาวะผู้นำเชิงวัฒนธรรม มี 3 ตัวบ่งชี้ (4) การสื่อสารระหว่างวัฒนธรรม มี 4 ตัวบ่งชี้ และ (5) การจัดวางบุคลากรที่หลากหลาย มี 3 ตัวบ่งชี้ และ 2) ผลการประเมินกรอบแนวคิดของการจัดการความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมในโรงเรียนขนาดใหญ่พิเศษมีค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้อง (IOC) อยู่ระหว่าง 0.80 – 1.00 ซึ่งผ่านเกณฑ์ทุกองค์ประกอบและตัวบ่งชี้

การพัฒนาชุดการเรียนรู้ตามรูปแบบการเรียนการสอนแบบตกผลึกเพื่อส่งเสริมความสามารถในการวิจารณ์วรรณกรรมของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี, ขวัญชนก นัยจรัญ

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) พัฒนาชุดการเรียนรู้ตามรูปแบบการเรียนการสอนแบบตกผลึก 2) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการวิจารณ์วรรณกรรมของนักศึกษาก่อนและหลังการทดลอง และ 3) ศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษาที่มีต่อชุดการเรียนรู้ การดำเนินการวิจัยแบ่งเป็น 4 ระยะ ได้แก่ ระยะที่ 1 การศึกษาสภาพปัญหาในการเรียนการสอนรายวิชาวรรณกรรมวิจารณ์ ระยะที่ 2 พัฒนาชุดการเรียนรู้ตามรูปแบบการเรียนการสอนแบบตกผลึก ระยะที่ 3 ทดลองใช้ และระยะที่ 4 ประเมินผลความสามารถในการวิจารณ์วรรณกรรมและความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษาที่มีต่อชุดการเรียนรู้ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ คือ นักศึกษาสาขาวิชาภาษาไทย มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏ จำนวน 55 คน ระยะเวลาในการทดลอง 6 สัปดาห์ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการทดลองเป็นชุดการเรียนรู้ตามรูปแบบการเรียนการสอนแบบตกผลึก และเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บข้อมูล ได้แก่ แบบวัดความสามารถในการวิจารณ์วรรณกรรม และแบบวัดความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษาที่มีต่อชุดการเรียนรู้ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการหาค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และทดสอบค่าที ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ชุดการเรียนรู้มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์ 80/80 2) ความสามารถในการวิจารณ์วรรณกรรมของนักศึกษาหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และ 3) นักศึกษามีความพึงพอใจต่อชุดการเรียนรู้ระดับมากที่สุด

การพัฒนาผู้เรียนให้ประสบความสำเร็จและปรับตัวเข้ากับสังคมแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21 โดยใช้การเรียนรู้วิชาสังคมศึกษานั้น ครูสังคมศึกษาจำเป็นต้องวางแผนและออกแบบกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ที่ช่วยเสริมสร้างและพัฒนาศักยภาพของผู้เรียนให้มีทักษะการคิดเชิงมโนทัศน์ เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนสามารถนำความรู้ไปประยุกต์ใช้แก้ไขปัญหา แสวงหาคำตอบ และวินิจฉัยเรื่องราวที่ต้องเผชิญในสังคมโลกยุคปัจจุบันได้อย่างถูกต้องและเหมาะสมต่อไป บทความนี้นำเสนอความรู้เกี่ยวกับความหมายและความสำคัญของมโนทัศน์ มโนทัศน์กับการทำงานของสมอง ความสำคัญของการคิดเชิงมโนทัศน์ มโนทัศน์ของวิชาสังคมศึกษาการพัฒนาทักษะการคิดเชิงมโนทัศน์ในวิชาสังคมศึกษา และคุณค่าของการคิดเชิงมโนทัศน์ ในวิชาสังคมศึกษาเพื่อผู้เรียนแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21

การศึกษาสภาพ ปัญหา และความต้องการในการปรับตัว การอยู่ร่วมกัน และการเรียนรู้เพื่อการยอมรับความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมของแรงงานภาคอุตสาหกรรม, ณัฐวีณ์ ยิ้มเศรษฐี, อาชัญญา รัตนอุบล, ปาน กิมปี

วัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัยในครั้งนี้ คือ เพื่อศึกษาสภาพพื้นฐาน ลักษณะการดำรงชีวิต ปัญหาและความต้องการใน การปรับตัวเพื่อให้เข้ากับความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมของแรงงานภาคอุตสาหกรรม เก็บข้อมูลจากผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับแรงงานภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทย 30 คน และแรงงานต่างด้าวพม่า ลาว กัมพูชา 400 คน ในภาคเหนือ ภาคกลาง ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ และภาคใต้ของไทย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบสอบถาม ผลการวิจัย พบว่า แรงงานส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง มีรายได้แบบรายวันตามอัตราค่าแรงขั้นต่ำ สาเหตุการย้ายงานคือ ไม่ชอบงาน กิจกรรมยามว่าง ชอบเล่นกีฬา ดูหนัง ท่องเที่ยว สิ่งที่ทำให้อึดอัดใจในครั้งแรกที่เข้ามาทำงานในประเทศไทยคือ ภาษา อาหาร และเพื่อนต่างถิ่น สิ่งที่ทำให้ปรับตัวได้ คือ การเปิดใจยอมรับ การสร้างสัมพันธภาพ ความต้องการด้านการปรับตัว คือ 1) การปรับตัวเข้ากับเพื่อนต่างชาติ 2) การสื่อสารกับผู้ร่วมงาน 3) การแต่งกายให้ถูกต้องเหมาะสม 4) ความมั่นใจในการแสดงความเป็นเพื่อนกับต่างชาติ 5) การเป็นมิตรกับเพื่อนต่างชาติโดยไม่รู้สึกแตกต่าง ปัญหาด้านการอยู่ร่วมกัน คือ 1) การพึ่งพาอาศัยกัน 2) การทำงานร่วมกับเพื่อนชาติ 3) การช่วยเหลือเพื่อนต่างชาติ 4) ระเบียบวินัยในการอยู่ร่วมกัน 5) การแต่งกายให้ถูกต้องเหมาะสม ส่วนปัญหาด้านการเรียนรู้ คือ 1) ความเข้าใจนิสัยเพื่อนต่างชาติ 2) ความรู้ด้านอาหารของเพื่อนต่างชาติ

ปัญหาการเรียนรู้ของครอบครัวแหว่งกลางเพื่อการส่งเสริมความอยู่ดีมีสุขของเด็กตามความคิดครอบครัวนิเวศ, พัฒนาพร ไทยพิบูลย์, จรูญศรี มาดิลกโกวิท

บทความวิจัย เรื่อง “ปัญหาการเรียนรู้ของครอบครัวแหว่งกลางเพื่อการส่งเสริมความอยู่ดีมีสุขของเด็กตามความคิดครอบครัวนิเวศ” ผู้วิจัยใช้ความคิด “ระบบครอบครัวนิเวศ” เป็นกรอบแนวคิดในการวิจัย โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบผสมผสานระหว่างวิธีวิจัยเชิงปริมาณและวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพในการศึกษาครอบครัวแหว่งกลางในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือและภาคกลางจำนวน 109 ครอบครัว ด้วยวิธีการสัมภาษณ์เชิงโครงสร้างและการสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก วัตถุประสงค์ในการวิจัยเพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัญหา และความต้องการการเรียนรู้ของครอบครัวแหว่งกลางตามความคิดครอบครัวนิเวศเพื่อการส่งเสริมความอยู่ดีมีสุขของเด็กในครอบครัวแหว่งกลาง ผลการศึกษาพบว่าปัญหาการเรียนรู้ของครอบครัวแหว่งกลางที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการส่งเสริมความอยู่ดีมีสุขของเด็กจำแนกได้เป็น 6 มิติ คือ 1) สุขภาพของปู่ ย่า ตา ยายในครอบครัวแหว่งกลาง 2) เศรษฐกิจของครอบครัวแหว่งกลาง 3) คุณลักษณะของครอบครัวแหว่งกลาง 4) ความสัมพันธ์ในระบบครอบครัวนิเวศของครอบครัวแหว่งกลาง 5) สังคมวัฒนธรรม และ 6) หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับครอบครัวแหว่งกลาง

รูปแบบการบริหารโรงเรียนเพื่อเสริมสร้างชุมชนแห่งการเรียนรู้ทางวิชาชีพด้านการวิจัยปฏิบัติการในชั้นเรียน, ฐาปณัฐ อุดมศรี, ชญาพิมพ์ อุสาโห, พฤทธิ์ ศิริบรรณพิทักษ์

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบการบริหารโรงเรียนเพื่อเสริมสร้างชุมชนแห่งการเรียนรู้ทางวิชาชีพด้านการวิจัยปฏิบัติการในชั้นเรียน ด้วยระเบียบวิธีการวิจัยแบบผสม ตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ โรงเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษา จำนวน 480 โรงเรียน เครื่องมือวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบประเมินกรอบแนวคิดในการวิจัย แบบสอบถามสภาพปัจจุบันและสภาพที่พึงประสงค์ และแบบประเมินความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้ของรูปแบบการบริหาร วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา การวิเคราะห์ค่าสถิติพื้นฐาน คือค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการวิเคราะห์ความต้องการจำเป็น โดยใช้การวิเคราะห์ Modified Priority Needs Index (PNIModified) ผลการวิจัย พบว่า รูปแบบการบริหารโรงเรียนแบบยืดหยุ่นที่สอดคล้องกับวัฒนธรรมเพื่อเสริมสร้างชุมชนแห่งการเรียนรู้ทางวิชาชีพด้านการวิจัยปฏิบัติการในชั้นเรียนเป็นการบูรณาการรูปแบบการบริหารแบบกำกวมและแบบวัฒนธรรมซึ่งมีส่วนประกอบที่สำคัญ 7 ส่วน ได้แก่ 1) ชื่อรูปแบบ 2) หลักการและความสำคัญ 3) วัตถุประสงค์ของรูปแบบการบริหารโรงเรียนแบบยืดหยุ่นที่สอดคล้องกับวัฒนธรรมเพื่อเสริมสร้างชุมชนแห่งการเรียนรู้ทางวิชาชีพด้านการวิจัยปฏิบัติการในชั้นเรียน 4) องค์ประกอบของรูปแบบ 8 องค์ประกอบ ได้แก่ การกำหนดเป้าประสงค์ การแลกเปลี่ยนวิสัยทัศน์ พันธกิจ และเป้าหมาย การแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้วิธีการปฏิบัติ การสนับสนุนปัจจัยแวดล้อม โครงสร้างการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ การเชื่อมโยงกับสภาพแวดล้อม แบบของผู้นำ และแบบของภาวะผู้นำที่เกี่ยวข้อง 5) แผนภาพของรูปแบบและการนำไปใช้ 6) ปัจจัยความสำเร็จ และ 7) ประโยชน์ที่ได้รับ

การศึกษาสภาพการบริหารโรงเรียนอาชีวศึกษาตามแนวคิดการเสริมสร้างค่านิยมในการทำงาน, เกริกก้อง มังคละพฤกษ์, พฤทธิ์ ศิริบรรณพิทักษ์, สืบสกุล นรินทรางกูร ณ อยุธยา

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบันและสภาพที่พึงประสงค์ของการบริหารโรงเรียนอาชีวศึกษาตามแนวคิดการเสริมสร้างค่านิยมในการทำงาน ตัวอย่าง คือ โรงเรียนอาชีวศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการอาชีวศึกษา (สอศ.) ที่เปิดสอนระดับ ปวช. และ/หรือ ปวส. จำนวน 269 แห่ง ผู้ให้ข้อมูลในแต่ละโรง คือ ผู้บริหารโรงเรียน จำนวน 1 คน ครู จำนวน 1 คน และนักเรียน จำนวน 1 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ คือ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัย พบว่า สภาพปัจจุบันของการบริหารโรงเรียนอาชีวศึกษาตามแนวคิดการเสริมสร้างค่านิยมในการทำงาน ในภาพรวมและรายด้านอยู่ในระดับมาก โดยการบริหารกิจการนักเรียนนักศึกษามีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงที่สุด (M = 3.77) รองลงมาคือ การบริหารวิชาการ (M = 3.73) ส่วนสภาพที่พึงประสงค์ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (M = 4.42) โดยการบริหารวิชาการมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงที่สุด (M = 4.42) รองลงมาคือ การบริหารกิจการนักเรียนนักศึกษา (M = 4.41)

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบันและสภาพปัญหาของการจัดการเรียนการสอนที่บูรณาการทางการเรียนรู้กับการทำงานของผู้เรียนและบัณฑิตที่ศึกษา สาขาวิชาสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ ของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาไทย เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในประเทศ จำนวน 33 แห่ง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบสัมภาษณ์ แบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการหาความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัย พบว่า การจัดการเรียนการสอนเป็นการบูรณาการการเรียนรู้กับการทำงาน โดยมีองค์ประกอบ ได้แก่ สถาบันอุดมศึกษา สถานประกอบการ และองค์กรวิชาชีพ ปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการจัดการเรียนการสอนที่บูรณาการทางการเรียนรู้กับการทำงาน แบ่งออกเป็น 5 ด้าน ได้แก่ 1) ด้านหลักสูตรที่จัดการเรียนการสอนสาขาวิชาสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ 2) ด้านผู้เรียน / นิสิต / นักศึกษาและบัณฑิตที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสาขาวิชาสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ 3) ด้านผู้สอน / คณาจารย์ /อาจารย์ที่ปรึกษา / อาจารย์นิเทศงานสาขาวิชาสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ 4) ด้านสถานประกอบการ / ผู้บริหารสถานประกอบการ / พนักงานที่ปรึกษา /พนักงานที่เป็นผู้ดูแลนักศึกษาช่วงระหว่างปฏิบัติงานสาขาวิชาสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ และ 5) ด้านการเงิน

Every Student Success Act (ESSA) provides explicit College Career and Military Readiness (CCMR) standards requiring state and local district's responsiveness to ensuring all students meet given expectations. ESSA does not exempt at-risk students from meeting expectations; however, at-risk students such as English Learners (ELs) are under-represented in this area. The five Latino parents in the three ethnographic case studies presented in this document were experienced with stepping into third space zones of discomfort as undocumented immigrants unwelcome to the United States. They could have chosen to remain silent and invisible. Instead, they entered third space visibility that amplified their presence and voice as immigration reform activists. They recognized and accepted the risks of amplified outspoken visibility: possible deportation and family separation. They also acknowledged the risks of silent submission and invisibility: vulnerability to exploitation and generational disempowerment. Extensive research has demonstrated that leaders aspiring to become women college presidents encounter many barriers, including gender-based leadership barriers. In higher education, women hold more degrees than men; however, women account for only 30 percent of all college and university presidencies. As the total number of women earning doctoral degrees and hired into faculty positions within the academy increases, the overall gap of the genders begins to narrow (Flaherty, 2016), and women are hired into lower status instructor positions compared to their male counterparts who are in tenured or tenure track position.

This study examines what scaffolding practices impacted how teacher candidates assume teacher Discourse and develop teaching praxis. Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal Development, Bruner’s Scaffolding, and Gee’s Discourse are used as a framework for this research. Using data from surveying and interviewing six new practicing teachers from two educator preparation programs, the qualitative analyses suggest that scaffolding through modeling, practice, and reflection have the strongest impact on how teacher candidates develop their Discourse and praxis.

The goal of this qualitative study was to determine the influence of teacher perception of ownership and empowerment on teacher self-efficacy and motivation. Tools of ethnography were used to create a descriptive narrative of teacher perceptions. Data was collected through focus group and individual interviews.

Results show that teacher perception of ownership and empowerment can influence teacher self-efficacy and motivation. Even though most teachers are intrinsically motivated, teachers still wanted to feel valued. Other factors that influence teacher perceptions of ownership and empowerment included relationships with colleagues and opportunities for shared leadership
