An extensive body of research has established the positive impact that parental involvement has on student academic, social, and emotional performance and well-being. These benefits are, however, not enjoyed by all students due to a string of logistical, communicative, perceptual, and cultural obstacles. The purpose of this study is to investigate the phenomenon of parental involvement as perceived and practiced by Arabic speaking parents in American public schools. The purpose of this narrative qualitative study was to explore how politics affects the ethical decision-making processes of elementary principals. Participants were comprised of five elementary school principals, with varied years of experience, across neighboring suburban public school districts in eastern New York. Data was collected through two semi-structured interviews. Interview transcripts were restoried and retold from each participant’s perspective (Clandinin & Connelly, 2000; Nasheeda et al., 2019; Ollerenshaw & Creswell, 2002). The stories were analyzed and compared using the constant comparison method (Glaser, 1965), to develop common themes about political influences and decision-making processes. The purpose of this quantitative study was to examine the mediating impact of trust on the relationship between leaders and followers in religious communities across two cultures, the United States and Vietnam. The study sample consisted of 800 followers and 40 leaders in 40 religious communities from the cities of Nha Trang, Ha Noi, Thanh Hoa and Saigon in Vietnam. This study examined the frequency and possible connection between student self-reported bullying victimization, suicidal ideation, and reported fear of attending school. These school and societal problems have potential negative impacts on individuals, families, and school learning communities. Their negative effects may be compounded when occurring together. The purpose of this quantitative study was to examine the opinions and views of teachers on parental involvement in elementary and high school education in the United States. This study utilizes secondary data acquired from the RAND American Teacher Panel (ATP), which is a nationally representative sample of K-12 school teachers.
